Thanks so much for another awesome Video. Love whatever you put up, big Rig or regular Truck. I just like to see the beauty of this world, since i can No longer drive myself.
My choice over running hyway 6 would be the Galena Bay boat to Revelstoke then down to Sicamous then Armstrong...only about 10 klm longer but a lot flatter.
Thanks for the drive through Nakusp. It triggered lots of good memories of living there as a kid like swimming in Box Lake. . You went right past my old school, I lived just across the street and to the let of where you turned right at he Petrocan. That used to be an old BA gas station. It was owned by my best friend's father who also ran an old bull nose Kenworth logging truck.
at 11:40 the garage and the entrance are to the location where my Grandparents and other family grew up or currently live. At 16:32 mostly hidden by trees in front but the drive is visible is the home where I grew up and walked to the schools you commented on earlier. On the R coming down is the High School across the street (at my time called Lake Ave. but now I believe is 6th S N.) from the Elementary School. The house is essentially kitty- corner to Kal Tire where you turned left. When coming down toward the town, Saddleback Mountain can be seen across the lake and if you go to a street below Broadway there are some nice gardens and an area to sit and enjoy the view of the Arrow Lake and the mountain range. I was surprised you could not go the other way when heading toward Needles as that bypasses the town basically too but by going the route you took, Hwy 23 then heads toward Halcyon. As a kid, in the summer I often walked from the ballpark which was beyond Lake Ave. up to the "family farm" for supper dinner with family. I would either walk toward # 6 on Broadway or the same street that you turned on to get to #6 before turning R. A lot more industrial now compared to all those years ago. Where you stopped to turn toward Needles you would see Arrow Lake which prior to 1961 was the Upper Arrow Lake but the High Arrow Dam was built and the Lower and Upper joined and became a single lake and 60' higher than before. Thus the sawmill was closed and the land was covered by water. Many folks left the town for jobs in Castlegar at either the sawmill or the pulp mill. Thanks so much for the tour. Will finish the trip and then get some sleep as it is 5:30 AM here. I still have a backlog of videos to watch also but that will be for other days. Wow, only 3 vehicles waiting to head the other way after you got through the construction area. Oh, -- Pavement -- aren't you glad you don't have to drive this route when it was all just dirt and in this area, it was known as "washboard". Our concept of pavement other than the main street of Nakusp -- Broadway -- was called snow. You know, when it packed it was smooth like pavement. Just might be trickier to drive. As usual, the trip was most enjoyable. Thanks so much. I was very pleased to see that you read the comments and were kind enough to do a video of the areas requested by viewers. Well, 6 AM now so I better get a couple hours before it is my time to take some eye drops for my first of two cataract surgeries this Fall.
@@JuanRempel I certainly enjoyed every moment and thank you so much. Same goes for all the trips in the Okanagan. Very unlikely that neither my wife nor myself due to age will ever get out to my favorite Province so fortunately through your travels, I get to live vicariously. BTW I never tire of the commentary and like more of it that you can so nicely offer. The quality of the commentary and the video images is absolutely terrific. You certainly do have a nice base of viewers so be very proud of a job extremely well done both as trucker and videographer.
Hey Juan , momma and I enjoy your pickup videos as much as the truck videos. It allows you to take us places that you can’t with the truck. Thanks for the content. Hope you had a good vacation. If you’re having trouble getting content for sleep with a trucker I wouldn’t mind a few more creek videos. 😊

Yea, in the winter that would definitely be preferred, I know the chip trucks go around south via Rock Creek in the winter.

Awesome, noted on creek videos, I'll have to make time to go shot more of those, life gets pretty busy sometimes
@@JuanRempel no worries. Thank you for considering it.
Creek videos are awesome too, the sound of the water is so relaxing
It's all Upper Arrow Lake. Revelstoke to the dam in Castlegar.
Yes, I googled it later lol
