Ya, after watching it again, I agree with you. He must have been so frustrated. I can hear the record skip everytime he scratched. He kept trying to adjust. He definitely hung in there for his fans.

@@hello_deep lol....that's been standard since time began....it's so you can put even more weight on the needle to try and stop them from jumping ..
Lol...it wasn't the needle.....the only time the needle is at fault is when they have a manufacturing fault when they solid and not tubular...
It's more than likely that the tone arm had play in it...the record had dust on it coz the sound went quieter...
As for hearing that the needles were old?? Rubbish lol ...only the high-end goes on worn needles....and tbh I couldn't hear nothing....

Respect to Q-bert, but he has kinda been a one trick pony for the last decade. There’s a number of modern scratchers that easily blow him away. It just gets tiring seeing him do shit that is so predictable. I wish he would try and push scratching like he did in the 90s

Wow, this is a very disappointing scratch battle. I've never seen DJ Qbert perform so poorly. This looks like such an amateur session. Something is not right here. Qbert is either giving these dudes a chance or there is something wrong with the turntables/needles. Looks like Qbert has to keep adjusting the turntable. Qbert is the best in the world and can do so much better.
Q was just warming up (cold hands at the start), didnt look like a batlle either, more like a cypher
