The title of this video is misleading. Going into an administrative role is different than being AN ADMINISTRATOR. I am an administrator and my job requires a masters degree. Administrators are hospital CEOs, COOs, Clinic Ops Managers, etc. We manage huge budgets, oversee compliance, make decisions about acquisitions and expansions, etc. As I watched the video, I do see that she is speaking mostly about entry level jobs such as front desk roles and in that sense, yes, you can go without a degree or experience though some semblance of professional experience is preferred. Please do not underestimate the power of volunteering and internships! Most healthcare non-profits are run by healthcare professionals that can help you a lot and can prove to be integral parts of your network. Good luck!
I recently in May of 2024 graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in healthcare and minor in Psychology , what is a good entry level job for experience?
Congratulations! This is a broad degree and can likely get the attention of several different roles. What is your long term goal? It might also be helpful to find out where your fellow graduates are now working. Talk to your professors and career advisement as well. I did my undergrad in Healthcare Management and found that the field was so broad that I wasn't sure where I wanted to end up (development, risk, operations, revenue cycle, project management, etc.....the list goes on). I strongly suggest learning about different roles and get an entry level position that develops skills that will complement that future role. Good Luck!
@@syw9882 thank you, I will definitely look into these suggestions. I do want my Masters but I have to pay down these loans but definitely want to my Masters
