  • The 'Tallest Teen on Earth' Is EXACTLY What The NBA Feared (Olivier Rioux)
    You might think you know everything there is to know about the tallest teenagers in the basketball world, like Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren, but I'm here to tell you that you haven't seen anything yet. Now, forget about these guys for a moment because we've got a new kid on the block who might be the next big thing in the NBA.
    And when I say kid, I mean it quite literally. And he's not just tall, he's the tallest teenager on earth. And if you don't believe me, ask the Guinness Book of World Records. They confirmed that he is indeed the tallest teenager on the planet.
    Get ready to meet Olivier Rioux, a towering presence on the court who has been making waves in the basketball world. In this video, we'll take a deep dive into Olivier's life, his journey toward being a basketball prospect, and why the NBA already fears his potential.

    Body proportion and bone to muscle ratio seem healthy and well above average for his height and age. Would recomend a back coach because he is tending to lean forward too much even in down time. Correction of posture at this age is vital for spine alignment in adulthood, specially for athletes; healthy back = BALANCE.

      The biggest physical difference between Chet and Wemby and what came before is their flexibility. This kid really needs to work on that. You can already see how stiff his movements are.

    Nobody in the NBA "fears his potential." Nobody even thinks that he will be anything other than an oddity. Not unless he suddenly "grows into his body" and develops a few basic skills. And even were that to happen, there are skilled players his size who move much better than he does. At this point, almost a 0% chance of making it in the NBA.

      If Tacko Fall can make the NBA, this guy can. He is actually mobile and coordinated. If he goes to a major division 1 school and puts on muscle, he can make it. Not saying he will be good in the NBA though.

    Why would the NBA fear him? He may be 7'6" but it appears his vertical leap is only about 2 inches. He is also slow and cant pivot. I dont see him even being in the NBA

    Slow Plodder. He'll be lucky to have a career as good as Tacko Fall and that doesn't mean that much on the NBA Level. The Muresan comparison is fairly apt. Stamina will be an issue.

    He is at IMG Academy, so he’s getting top coaching, trainers, and nutrition. He’s in a much better position than some kid in a poor public school somewhere, for sure.
    He will end up at a D1 school where the best people will work with him. He will get more muscular and faster.
    If he has college success and makes it to the NBA, the endorsements will be crazy. 7’6” but not obviously stricken with gigantism. He’s handsome. Companies will line up.

    People in the US are losing their minds over trans kids playing on teams, but this kid playing with kids half his height is truly unfair.

    • @mcNuggetMuncher
      @mcNuggetMuncher ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Basketball has always been a game of height. It's not the same as a juwannawanna man Frankenstein pushing a bunch of little girls around. Girls who signed up to play in a all girl league. Encouraging Trans to play in sports is discouraging the achievement strong women have made. It's discouraging women empowerment. Just acouple of years ago a Trans came in and beat all the women power lifting records. That is not fair to the women who worked so hard to achive those records. Now a man holds all the women power lifting records. By Encouraging insanity your discouraging the achievement of strong women.

      @@mcNuggetMuncher you are not making any sense. strong women are strong for a reason, I don't think any trans can discourage a strong woman. Otherwise, the woman is weak. Many women fight for equality, trans will give them close to their wishes. It is obviously not fair. Just like this tall kid pushing around other kids half of his height.
