The most frustrating thing about Terry in RF5 is that he (and 2 other characters who are spoilers) have audio files in the game, sprites of their children and everything else, which indicates that they would be marriageable, but I think that because the game wasn't very well received they left them out. And I really wish I could marry Antonio in Coral Island, not least because Suki, who is his ex-wife and has a daughter with him, is marriageable... (I hope they release a mod to make that real).
They did eventually patch it so that she was romanceable, but the fact Potion Permit didn’t let you date Helene was crazy 😭. Granted there isn’t as much of a focus on romance in Potion Permit (you can’t get married, only date) but it’s still so odd there was so few options at launch
I feel like some of these examples are characters that were purposefully meant to drive people crazy. Like, I don’t know if that’s the creators’ way of saying “Well, you often can’t get what you want in real life” but dang it, I am playing a video game to live a fantasy anyway. Also it sounds evil, but I think it would be so funny to have marriage candidates where you have to sabotage their previous marriage, that would be perfect for the mayor’s wife. El escándolo 🔥
There actually is a game where you can do that! It’s called Gleaner Heights… Unfortunately the game is really rough around the edges. Personally, I’d love a game where you can date someone who is a bad person, haha. I was excited that in a Stardew Valley mod, you can marry the CEO of Joja… but after dating you he completely changes into a nice guy. Um, this is a game, please just let me date the evil CEO of Joja! In so many farming sims your love just completely solves all of your spouse’s problems…
SERIOUSLY I wish they gave us better dude characters tbh LOL Terry and Carter would've been great. Maybe it's bc I'm older but I'm not into the very young looking characters @_@ xD Olric looks like a sweetheart now making him a romance is a crime! xD DEREK was so handsome omggg T_T why give him that fine character art in coral island and make him barely an npc. Angus actually looks just like partner! Hahahahaha. I wanted to romance him too he's so sweet xD I was as into rune factory 5 too, but I loved 4, hopefully the next one is more promising(and has less loading screens and better optimization)

I'm getting older and am now saying I need the wizard and Marnie to be romancable in Stardew Valley. The wizard is looking for an "apprentice" mmkay, so why can't it be me? Lmao But also Marnie deserves better plus the option to steal the Mayor's girl? Hell yeah! ((Or at least have an arch where she goes with Marlon)). Also Ginger in Fae Farm. I just think he's neat. Last but not least... Volkanon in RF4. You have the other butler characters, why not the big burly passionate one!?

I never really understood why everyone wants Derek, he's literally there for three days. There are 28 amazing characters to choose from. Derek isn't even around long enough to get to know. I guess my wishes would be Zeke from My Time at Sandrock, and Manuela from SoS PoOT. I'm an older player, I want older love interests in games.
I was thinking about pen in my time at sandrock because I saw many people are dating him but they actually are upset that they can’t married him because he was a villain in that game & I get that feel as well so I let my heart pick the bachelor for me & my heart chooses fang & I knew that a comfort company is the best medicine ever for a depression after losing a family member
Derek hits too hard for someone who we can't date, justice for Derek! For me personally, I was devastated I can't date either of the single moms in Rune Factory 3 (Hazel & Shino). And they even got cute personalities too. 😿
Farming games def need options for gamers who are getting older! It seems most games assume we are all 18-24 years old! At least Stardew Valley has a couple of older marriage, but even then, I think they're in their 30s at most.
Axel from Coral island should be an option. Gus from Stardew Valley would be cool too. Honestly if I make a farming sim (which I hope to one day) I would add the option to date those with enough popularity to.

I get the impression the Coral Island artist (artists?) is just too good at drawing foxes. Pretty much everyone I've seen from that game is hot af.
