I thought Kenan was gonna count every individual of each species and my first thought was the video was too short (finding every turtle in every pond seems like a herculean job).
It's a little off topic, but it's been a time since I wanted a video like this but with the plants at Kenan's. I know there are videos talking about some of them, but I'd love to watch one listing all the plants, old and new ones.
I hope y'all are having a nice day!

Great video kenan, thanks for keeping count Tom 😉 and as always, thank you for your work putting the videos together! Kenan, I've seen quite some time ago you had Hermanns tortoises, will you ever consider getting Hermanns back in the Kamp? They're a common pet and would be a huge help to those who are new to keeping. Pet shops here in the UK often give poor advice on keeping and a lot of information is typically contradicting. Thanks for you time as always Kenan, big love!
(Completely understand you've got your hands full and don't want too many animals, was just a thought for the future)

weird timing.. earlier this week i was watching a older video on your channel with you exploring the big pond and i was wondering if you logged the species, and amount, before you released them into the big pond.. it’s such a big pond i’m sure you can go a long time without seeing some of the turtles.. so i figure a log of atleast what youre putting in would help keep track of what’s in there.

I was never interested in turtles/tortoises until recently. I ended up spending my spring and early summer taking care of a few Eastern box turtles that were neglected. Waking up each morning to tend to my little friends was one of the greatest highlights of my year. That was in Indiana. Now I'm in Arizona and if I ever have the land for some shelled friends, I will certainly get some. My favorite part is watching them eat 😊.
Edit: also took care of a young common snapper that tried to cross the highway this year. Ended up releasing it into a nearby lake. Equally as cool.

Noticed on the submerged Chinese box turtle that it appeared to have mucus bubbles coming out of its nose. Don’t know if it’s just air bubbles from being submerged but it reminded me of videos of turtles on land and the bubbles that come out of the nose because of respiratory issues. These looked slightly thicker than just air bubbles. I’ve seen our eastern boxies underwater and never saw those type of bubbles

i always find it strange that you think snake necks/ long necks are bizare/ weird coz they are the ones I'm used to having locally- and they have a reputation for biting unsuspecting fingers so I was taught to have a healthy respect for the local turtles! To me land wandering tortoises seem strange coz we don't have them 😊 They are so cute though, I love it whenever you check out the turtles and tortoises at the camp!
