I love the upper harmonies that she adds to the last chorus with her vocal color. It makes the song pleasant to listen to and would have been a nice addition to the song
In ANY other group, Sooyoung would have been a Lead Vocal. She was always SO underrated in SNSD and that just shows how vocally talented they were as a group! 😊😊😊

In all fairness Sooyoung was NOT a very good singer when she debuted. She and Yoona and Hyo had the weakest voices but because they could do other things well (Hyo's dancing/rap, Yoona's visuals/dance and Soo's visual and performance stage skills) it was overlooked (Tzuyu in Twice was the same way). But over the years they all worked on their singing and improved a lot. Btw, I'm guessing Sooyoung is happy she doesn't have to do the entire ITNW choreo because she hasn't done it since 2014 (the group only does the ballad version of the song ever since Sica left).

For sure. SooYoung and Yuri are considered SNSD dance line but their high notes are really good
HyoYeon and Yoona are probably the most underdeveloped vocal in SNSD but one is the dancing queen and the other is the visual queen

보통 연차 이만큼찬 가수들 본인 데뷔곡들 창피해하거나 하더라도 편곡 웅장하게해서 공연하는데 소시멤들은 데뷔곡에 항상 진심인거같아서 너무 감동적임 심지어 개인팬미팅인데...
데뷔곡이 이렇게 레전드인 경우가 별로 없으니.. 방향성 잡히기 전이라 무리수 두거나 중간에 컨셉 바뀌는 경우가 많아서
다만세는 진짜 걸그룹의 교과서 같은 노래
