Personally, I saw pregnancy (2 of them) as just something to GET THROUGH, so I did, by wearing my husband's tshirts he didn't like anymore, and maybe two pairs of Electric & Rose jogger pants that I got in size L on Poshmark for cheap, and that's that.
I used it as a chance to "pan" some old clothes that neither of us liked anymore, so I could wear them to threads and feel OK tossing them once baby came! I am finding myself actually after 6-7 months of baby 2 (current baby and LAST BABY hahaha) so maybe we all have our own ways of getting through it and STILL having style, maybe I just put style to the side but had the INTENTION to get ahold of it once I felt more settled w/ baby?
To be frank, I see the first year of baby (0-12 months) as something to GET THROUGH, as well, but depends on you as a person (I'm not a baby person, hardly a toddler person, I'm a take my pre-teen girl to Sephora while dressing her in Lululemon and Hokas hehe).
Did you ever feel like you wanted to just get over the 9 (really 10!) months?
