I used a piece of aluminum paper in one lcd that I repaired with new polarizer a as background to see better the symbols and numbers, I used a piece of thin cardboard to isolate the electronics between the LCD and the board and it looks like new.

Hello Jimmy. Several questions here: Do those same polarizer filters work on LCD video color displays??? I have 2 Sega handheld game consoles; the Game Gear, and a Nomad Genesis. The polarizer adhesive on both of these, soured out, brittled, and took the filters (front and rear of LCD glass display) with it. I know I could get a superior BennVenn display for the Game Gear, but Benn Venn won’t have those until quite some time in the future from now, and I want to mod the Nomad Genesis, with a final ultimate mod that again, is out of reach for me; so the old ones will have to do for now.
I had to do some scraping to get the old adhesive off of the glass displays. ….so now, I have two consoles that work well electronically, and do what they’re supposed to do; produce video, produce audio, ect. ….but you can’t see any video, since the original polarizers are long gone. I know the displays have video, because I checked them with a much smaller piece of some sort of polarizer film. I was able to make out video images with this small filter. I just need to know which type of correct filters I need to get. I’m not too familiar with LCD display polarization. Can you help me???

I think you can try it first with standard polarizer. See if you can get display out of it. I think it should work, but I never tried on such color panel...

Friend, your lcd has 2 films, a silver one behind the glass that you removed without needing and another in front of the dark glass that is the one that is stained! so much so that the glass clearly sees the stained dark film that you have not removed!

Just rotate the polarizer until you get darker view. That should work...
