For context, when a cop pulls you over and he says he is hungry or thirsty, it means they are open to negotiations. When he said he will buy the cop lunch, he was saying he was prepared to pay him a bribe

The one thing in SA that units us is humour, we make fun of everyone. It might be dark and silly to the rest of the world but we get it. We don't hate each other we love each other and are not afraid to make jokes about it.
The rest of the world will never understand that South African humor, they fall out of the bus completely

You don't understand the Nanado's advert.... Corruption is HUGE in South Africa! It is an EVERYDAY occurence for cops to pull vehicles over for supposed traffic infractions and then ask for "lunch money" in order for one to be "let off" without a fine.... That is why the narration at the beginning states that we "tell it like it isn't" before showing the sequence with the traffic stop... The cop NEVER buys YOU lunch!
The monkey stole the guys drink - a Savannah drink, so he asks the bartender, who is strumming his ukulele, “do you know your monkey stole my Savannah?” The bartender thinks he is asking him if he can play a song for him called “your monkey stole my savannah” so answers “no, but if you hum it I can play it.”
The guy is doing something sexy to a tractor because he went to the doctor seeking advice for difficulties in the bedroom, his doctor advised him to “do something sexy to attract her.”
‘A tractor’ and ‘attract her’ sound the same hence the confusion.
Also you won’t understand the adverts if you aren’t reading the words on the screen or if you don’t pay attention to what they are actually advertising.

Nandos in the UK don't taste the same as the ones here in SA so you can best believe it will probably be worse in the US because of relaxed methods of raising live stock.

Sorry you don't have many likes. Soith African humour is unique. I love our silly ads- we make fun of the corruption, the lack of electrictiy, the lack of.. but there's always humour because otherwise we'd all be in a puddle of tears all the time.
