I went to undergrad in Malibu....back in early 80's. Shirly had a place on beach, not far from market. I used to see her all the time at Market. BTW great place to spot Celebs.....but unlike most other Famous Peeps at Market.....Ms. MacLaine was always very sweet, very friendly to all.....!!! Very Classy Lady !!

What is the point of this video? Are you showing this as a poor attempt at humor? Are you showing this to be sympathetic? She was a horrible mother. A non-mother. She was cruel to her daughter and did not appreciate having her. If she is lonely, she should call her daughter to genuinely apologize for how she treated her.

What dues did she pay? She has been a star her entire adult life, has always had plenty of money, shipped her kid off to Japan to be raised by a husband she discarded early in her marriage, always lived the way she wanted to, made many many films that she seems to have enjoyed making, has had several books published, has enjoyed the company of several men...all in all she has had a very privileged and fulfilling life. So I would like to know what dues did she pay?

I am glad to see this clip. It makes me admire Shirley even more. Yes, she is an Icon, but beside she has normal everyday life like everyone else. Youth and fames may come and gone, but the goodness she has done will remain in us all. Old age and death are not to be afraid, we get there one day so we better get used to it. (Just my opinion)

What is the point of this video? Are you showing this as a poor attempt at humor? Are you showing this to be sympathetic? First of all, it isn't funny, and secondly, I don't think she wants or needs sympathy. The video says more about the person who filmed it and the people who posted it. And what is says is not complimentary.
Walter, lighten up. Those of us that love Shirley and her body of work, also love that she is a down to Earth person who does her own shopping. The day people don't take her picture or film her is going to be a very sad day, because we all love her.

Walter Anastazievsky I feel that this video might have been taken by a tourist who is maybe a bit star struck at coming across a film star in an everyday setting. Watching the film, it seems that this is just an everyday occurrence, and nobody is paying much attention to Shirley because the locals are obviously used to seeing her out and about and it’s nothing unusual to them.
