Fantastic tutorial, love the use of the contrast paint - very clever. Really appreciate how you're marking the times in your videos, not many people take the time to do that. Looks brilliant!
Honestly, i was sceptical at first because it was more Grey then Black! But it turned out sooo so great! Thanks for the really good Tutorial. Endresult looks amazing! Keep up the Good Work and Greetz from Germany!
Great tutorial for black armors that will be usefull for my Sisters of Battle army. Thank you! How about a video about painting some Death Guard vehicle?
FAntastic video! and it's amazing how it takes life! Peter! can you show us " what we need to start painting figures" / "airbrush" / "colors basics" / mixing etc that's something good for video. (ofc i starting soon, and i take starter kit.. ok. just saying)
Can I have question? What you do, if accidentaly stain main armor with other colors in painting proces? With normal "one coat" method its solution easy but here...?
Good question :) If something like this happen, I try to fix it again from the start with the same process but only on the area that was the mistake or the accident. If the stain is small I try to cover it with a battle damage if possible. Also you can clean it very fast with a clean brush loaded with water, the acrylic paint needs some minutes to dry, so if you do that quickly maybe you can remove some of the stain or completely.
@@DirtyBrushes There called "Artist Loft " i believe there synthetic, got 15 brushes of varying sizes from precise to large flat head- But i find i cant get the bristle to hold a firm tip to trace these small lines, perhaps a better quality brush is needed?
Dude, you are completely underrated. Great tutorial.
Thank you for the kind words. Glad that you liked it 🙂

Thank you, glad that it helps. Yes I have it in my plans for a death guard vehicle.
I definitely stealing this for my black templars ;)
I am waiting your photos at the discord server 😁
Know this is an old video but what brushes were you using for this miniature? Just starting my deathwatch building and looking to prep for painting!
For all the details I use Da vinci maestro series 35 size 00, For washes and contrast paint just an old brush can do the work.
how you clean aour drybrush := ?
FAntastic video! and it's amazing how it takes life!

Yeah why not, I might do something like that in the future.

which varnish did you use at the end ?
I didn't use any varnish.
Your prescise brush looks like it dont even bend how do you get that for such a fine painting? Mine are quite flimsy o:

You should try brushes with natural hair. They are more expensive, but if you want a fine tip for details it is the best.
@@DirtyBrushes Any recommendations for that or any aslong as they are natural?
Winsor & newton series 7 is a good choice, also da Vinci maestro series. I work with both of them.
