this channel was honestly just so good. You added a whole new dimension to the coaster youtube community. You're such an inspiration and I think a lot of us miss your videos. I hope you're doing well. If you read this, plz consider coming back, we miss ya here.
I feel like B&M has the personality of a geneous super villian, waiting in the back ground only to attack when its least convienient for their competition
There needs to be more B&M winged coasters. I rode my first winged coaster, Thunderbird, last week. It was an incredibly unique and awesome ride! Can't believe more parks don't have these.
I think the fact that B&M is trying a launch coaster is amazing. The public love these things, the parks love them, we love love them, it's great. B&M may not give the most intense ride experiences but they are very very reliable. This is a big next step and I know B&M will go really really far.
In my opinion, my ideal coaster lineup when I make parks in RCT3. A hyper and/or giga coaster, an inverted coaster, an inversion-heavy coaster, 2 or 3 woodies (an out-and-back, a twister, and a giant woody that mixes out-and-back and twister), 1 or 2 launched coasters, an intermediate coaster, and a junior coaster.
Don’t think anyone has mentioned this yet, but maybe the B&M “surf” coaster going to Seaworld (the new multi launch) is called “surf” due to the back to back “wave” turns it features in the concept art drawn for the other potential Surf Coaster going overseas
We all forget about the The Incredible Hulk Coaster at Island of adventurer in Orlando, that’s a b&m launch coaster, and universal Beijing is getting a replica of it but is call transformer opening in 2021. There are 3 b&m launch coaster in the world, 2 of them a drive-tire” launch and 1 with LSM
Awesome video! You really step up your game every time you release content, and you videos are just so well put together. I'm happy every time I see you uploaded a new video
I think B&Ms take on a multi-launch will be a nice alternative option for parks that can afford B&Ms. They may not be as crazy or technologically advanced as the Intamin Blitz, but I think they'll still provide a very exciting, more rapid-fire type of ride that will be much more reliable.
Not only will it put B&M back on the map, it gives a great opportunity for people to go to SeaWorld to ride a pretty much brand new type of coaster. With Mako and Kraken already there, SeaWorld could have a real great trio of coasters to rule FL.
Well to be fair, only 3 of them are operating "hypers" in the technical sense. 3 were gigas, 1 was under 200ft, 1 is still under construction, and diamondback opened over 10 years ago.
CJ The one “Under Construction” is actually fully constructed, it’s just that the park didn’t seem to have payed B&M properly so that the coaster has been SBNO since 2018
Great video! Price I think will be a big factor when it comes to how successful this model is. If the Surf Coaster is way more expensive than the other launch coasters, I think it might flop or will take a long time to get going. Given the current situation I think it will be years until parks will want to get any of the B&M coaster models just because of how much they cost compared to other coaster models by other manufacturers. I hope the Surf Coaster doesn’t have that problem.
I completely agree. That's why Six Flags does not work with B&M anymore. Because the cost is way out of their budget. If this surf coaster becomes more affordable I'd love to see six flags pick back up with them.
The launch coaster market is far too crowded for B&M imo. It's like if B&M came out with a wooden coaster type or a sitdown family coaster type. Intamin have been building multi-launches for years, Premier have made a killing with their compact clones, and Mack caters to the thrilling, but not quite intamin level launch coasters. B&M Doesn't have a place here, the same price, quality, and similar layouts to what mack provides, not going to be as intense as Intamin's attractions. The reason, the Wing, Dive, and Flyers did so well is the fact they were opening up an entire new market unseen before. We saw this with the B&M Family Invert, but just on a lesser scale, only 2 were built, just because how crowded the market is with Vekoma's monopoly on it. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I fear this model won't sell half as well as any other. But in the end, every model B&M Have ever produced is of the highest quality there is, and I trust they know what they're doing.
Imagine a blitz invert some day! Like you pointed out, B&M hasn’t been afraid to innovate in the past. I’m glad they’re once again showing why they’re such a powerhouse in the industry. Excited to see how this may push other companies to innovate further!
B&M surf coasters are likely gonna be closer to Mack launch coasters than Intamin blitz coasters as Intamin really focuses on something entirely different than what B&M has shown to do.
Hello there Zack: Maybe we coudl see other launched variants of their existing coasters like say a launched inverted or a launched floorless. I mean I seen some pretty insane launched inverted examples done in No Limits 2 and a launch could really Innovate othe inverted coaster model and bring back something that Volcano had that made it so unique and so popular. Dunno what you think, but i could see B&M trying that in the future if the Surf Coaster is a hit. If oyu look at the the trains they made for Steel Dragon 2000, that would be a precursor to what the Surf Coaster trains would end up being like. the 2-person 2-row trains we would see on that model.
It's kind of interesting how you mentioned unique coasters being after the collection of "normal" rides, because most parks in the UK and Europe don't have that selection of normal things and go straight to unique stuff (look at Alton Towers which got a flying coaster and a dive machine long before it got a woodie)
It's similar to a stand-up Coaster Because you will have to stand up when your surfing but the seats will spin when you surf you will have to spin with your surf board. So it's like a launch spinning stand-up fusion coaster
I personally know mark rose who has been the designer of every ride at Busch gardens tampa he worked there for thirty years and retired just after they finished the design for Tigres he is a great guy very nice and funny and friendly I see him almost every week because he is my scoutmaster and he enjoyed his job and I have not seen him for a while but ik that he was always happy to see us and Im pretty sure that he came to my family to say hi to us one time at Busch gardens he was walking around or we asked to see him I don't remember what happened exactly but I do know that he loved to see the people happy
In my opinion SeaWorld orlando is basically B&M's europa park cause most of the major rides there are by B&M, and they are starting to introduce coasters there starting with the surf coaster
Cedar point is still building whatever is trending. They build Gatekeeper 2 years after the first B&M wing coaster debuted and they built Valravn when dive coasters were surging again. Steel Vengeance came again, when RMC coasters were trendy(ing). Parks are still going to B&M, they are just parks not in the US. Also, I can't really say that as the parks in the US could be going to them and are being waitlisted. if you look at life span of the company, it appears B&M averages more than Intamin. B&M has been around for 32 years and have 120 coasters under their belt which comes to aprox 4 coasters a year. Intamin has been around for 53 years and have 164 coasters under their belt which comes to aprox 3 coasters a year. Imagine if B&M wasn't as conservative and pricey as they were how many more we would have.
I think they need to focus on smaller and clone able attractions. I think it would be possible to make a 100 foot tall dive coaster that would fit in a small plot of land, for example. Their concept for smaller sized inverts is a great idea.
This is a smart move by B and M because stand up coasters are fun just uncomfortable for most. These new trains are going to revolutionize the stand up and probably design replacement trains for existing coasters too
Do why Yukon striker was delayed. The park officials have said that it was planned for 2016 but rumours are that cedar point stole Canadas wonderlands dive and made valraven as a attempt to fix the lowering attendance numbers at cedar point. And to make the expansion and upgrades of the cp hotels worth it.
This would be my first standup coaster can't wait. B@m invert montu is the GOAT always will be for me. Been to bg inn Virginia. Apollo chariot amazing and fortnately got to ride the big bad wolf suspended

Hopefully their Blitz style will be great but frankly I'm more excited about the S&S Axis coaster possibilities!! It's insane and the most innovative thing possibly ever!
I'm actually a Log Flume / Boat Flume fan .... and I'd like to see that Coaster "launch" added to a Flume Ride (part of the Ride is a Coaster, part of the Ride is a Flume) .... and a nice loooong drop at the end with a big splash!

We still have very little data on what this "surf coaster" will be. It'll be a launch coaster but what style of train is the big question. B&M is the king of unique coasters and I'm really excited for what this ride could be!
is it possible b&m could be made a 3 across seating at some point since there has never been a three-seater before and rare seating arrangement but since b&m is going back to two-seater like in the Giovanola days when they made the invert in south Africa maybe just maybe they just might make a three-across seating
great video. you should make a video on the next coaster to come to Knoebels, it's my home park and I think it would be cool to see what you think will come next.
It'd be very interesting if B&M started to make their own launched coasters... my home park is Gardaland, in Italy, and the two best rides of the park are Raptor (the first B&M wing coaster) and Oblivion The Black Hole (a dive)... if B&M is planning to build their new multi-launched, maybe Gardaland is included in the list of the buyers...
Lift hills eat real estate and many parks are running out of land. LIMs solve that lift hill eating real estate problem. The launch element is also a *stunt* which riders are looking to experience.

I think that B&M got their inspiration watching and admireing arrow coasters back in the day. And as arrow slowly took a left turn, B&M and Intamin jumped in. imo the next big boom for any coaster company will be the take on a 4D coaster, there's only 3 (free spins dont count) and RMC showed us that you need to be really good or really inovative to dominate the market at any point, i'm really hoping mack would be the one giving it a try since i feel like the time traveler rotation design could be easly adaptive to a 4D but i don't know im not a engineer let's hope someone comes out wiht a some new stuff soon, coasters are geting stale lately
Still need to see it but if it’s just B&Ms version it a launch then they are already behind. Mack, Intamin, and S&S are already out there in parks showing off what they can do.
I hope B&M do go a more experimental/innovative route like their early days because I honestly think companies like RMC, Intamin, Mack and especially Vekoma are starting to surpass them.
Unfortunately COVID has put the first surf coaster at SeaWorld Orlando in jeopardy. I hope things recover to the point that we can see this model reach its potential.
I've been waiting for this for like 2 months!
What's also great the parks know that B&M is reliable and a crowd pleaser which isn't as risky as an Intamin
Intamins now reliable imo
Intamin is making more reliable coasters now
Ehh it kind of gets boring after a while with the same inversions seen on so many coasters...
The US could use less B&M and more Intamin. Especially on the west coast
Leave I305 alone
Over the last 20 years B&M has taken existing concepts and making them so much better. Hypers, flyers, wing...and this will probably be no different
Idk if these will top blitz coasters, those have been pretty much perfect since Taron and the new lap bar trains
@@bobbyswanson3498 true but it worth trying out. Some hypers are better as B&M than Intamin and vice versa
I see otsr's on the concept art. Mack, intamin, etc uses all lapbars.
If B&M masters the sit down launch coaster do you think we could see a B&M inverted launch coaster?
this channel was honestly just so good. You added a whole new dimension to the coaster youtube community. You're such an inspiration and I think a lot of us miss your videos. I hope you're doing well. If you read this, plz consider coming back, we miss ya here.
Imagine a B&M woodie
Nooo. With the Phyclone trains too 😫
A B&M 4D
They made trains for one woody. They were terrible .
They could put B&M Track in the middle of the wood track

B&M is my favourite manufacturer and the fact that this vid has all 3 from my home park CW makes this my favourite video I've seen in the past month.
One of these also planned for Ocean Park Hong Kong
The one in the thumbnail IS the one in Hong kong
Who thinks that seaworld would be better off if they just got an intamin blitz?
@Eli Cipriano
They have also worked with intamin in the past
the only park that REALLY needs a launch coaster is Alton Towers instead of Rita
@@kerrmapolice
I totally agree. A clone of maverick would be a good fit.
@@QoasterMaster not maverick. Alton only want to build attractions they can market as a worlds first.

Do you think sea world Orlando will get B&M surf coaster in 2021.
Honestly, I just hope that this is a cheaper coaster to build so that maybe Six Flags can start working with B&M again.
Unfortunately COVID has put the first surf coaster at SeaWorld Orlando in jeopardy. I hope things recover to the point that we can see this model reach its potential.
