  • How To Make A Worm Farm At Home - DIY Compost Bin. A Worm Farm is easy to grow, all you need is a bucket or tub, drill some holes and leave out of direct sun. Worm Farming is also known as Vermiculture or Vermicomposting. This is a very easy and low cost way to compost all your food scraps, egg shells, as well as coffee grounds. The worms love the food, eat it and break it down as well as the decomposing process to make nutrient dense compost. We like to spread it all over our backyard and for plants that need extra nourishment! If you are looking for a DIY small worm farm, then we recommend doing it this way. Composting helps by putting nutrients back in our soil and we throw away less trash. We've been doing it for several years now! We even throw in some biodegradable paper and dry leaves, because the worms like to eat it. We also sometimes take some of the worms and use as fishing bait!
If you are looking to start a wormery with buckets, this is ideal for beginners.
