As far as LM and Suman Kalyanpur are concerned, many a times, one does fail to identify the difference.

@ great man. You cannot be called a great because you did not know how Rafi Sahab has helped by advising Kishore to concentrate on playback singer rather than film acting. So who is wise,. Don't insult Rafi as we love him so much and we don't even insult Kishore or any other singer.
On three points KK scores over rafi- Pronunciation, emotions and clearity of voice. Now what left. That is why Kishore da gave two superstars and rafi only stars. That is why KK the great won more film awards than rafi and that is why KK used to charge 16000 rupees for a song and poor rafi only 4000.
And the producers used to beg Rafi to take remaining 16000 and he used to happily return .. Kishore did not make a superstar but that superstar brought Kishore into prominence after 20 years of retirement in the prime age. That said Kishore da is no less than a genius but when it comes to playback singing Rafi is the emperor and Kishore the prince... Kishore got 5 filmfare after Rafi death and Rafi got more filmfare when there was only one category for male and female...
Let's not compare... But it's a fact that popularity of KK keeps on increasing even more than 30 years after His death... Just observe the depth in His voice... I am not comparing with anybody but His pronunciations were very clear and voice very melodious.
Narendra Shah bhai , of course Kishore Da is hugely popular and has a beautiful voice. Only a fool would disagree or think otherwise. Same can be said for Rafi Sahib , he had a divine voice , even Kishore da was his fan and Rafi adored him too. Coming to popularity did you know as last as 2013 he won CNN IBN as the greatest Indian singer among the big five. One thing I may agree is the relatively speaking Rafi songs even the easy sounding ones are difficult to sing by amateur singers than any other singer, In any case peace!
