No ways, the whole country sings this from primary school itself. People from all religions in India. This anthem binds us all and we all stand up when we sing.
The Indian National Anthem is written in Bengali by our National poet Rabindra Nath Tagore, a Bengali himself. It has originally 5 parts but only one part is taken as the Anthem as it is very long. Rabindra Nath Tagore won the Nobel prize for literature for his collection of poems, Gitanjali in 1913. Infact he is the poet who composed the National Anthem of Bangladesh too. Here all the great singers and musicians of India came together to sing the National Anthem. 🇮🇳❤😘

Some details to correct popular misconceptions: The Indian national anthem 'Jana Gana Mana' is the first stanza of a 4-5 stanza song written by India's first Nobel Laureate in Literature - Rabindranath Tagore (1861 - 1941) in 1911. It was formally adopted as the national anthem in 1950. Jana Gana Mana is written in Bengali, but the words are mostly 'tatsam' - Sanskritised Bengali They easily pass off as (tatsam) Hindi, as both, Bengali & Hindi are heavily derived from Sanskrit and share the same grammar. The only difference is in pronounciation. A Bengali would pronounce it 'Jono Gono Mono Odhinayok Joyo He...', while a Hindi speaker would pronounce it as, 'Jana Gana Mana Adhinayak Jaya He...' Another of Tagore's Bengali songs 'Amar Shonar Bangla' was adopted as the Bangladesh national anthem, after that country was created in 1971. (As Bangladesh shares the Bengali literary & cultural heritage, this was natural) So, technically, it is incorrect to say Tagore 'wrote these national anthems'. They were both songs 'written and set to tune' by him, and 'adopted' as national anthems after his time. The actual Indian anthem is sung in 52 seconds and livelier than this long drawn out version.

Tagore wrote the national anthem of India and Bangladesh. The song was originally written in Bengali by Rabindranath Tagore, our emotion, and originally this song is huge, but we maily sing the first parah only.
It's actually a very easy anthem to sing along to
Every indian sings the anthem from the time they can speak..it is sung on every national occassion and public event. The tempo is faster and we dont need to be classical singers to sing it.irs our pride, our hearbeat!
Thanks for reaction brother 🙂♥️

Tagore wrote the national anthem of India and Bangladesh. The Indian anthem is set to a raga called Bilawal (Sankarabharanam in Carnatic music) and is mandatorily sung in every school at the start of the day. Both the anthems are in highly Sanskritised Bengali. Pakistan also has a nice anthem and is also set in Bilawal. It is however written in Persian (except one Urdu word) and was written by Hafiz Jalandari.
When I was in school, one day of the week, during assembly, before classes start, the national anthem would be sung by everyone, the rest of the week we would either sing hymns or the school anthem. (I went to a Christian school if anyone’s wondering)
Proud of our anthem! Jai hind & Maha
kali!
