The 11f1.8 is a BIG deal. idc about IBIS, because honestly the M3 is tiny, and tripods exist. I'd love to see some more smooth UW shots around SEA with it. We did our trip around there in 2019, and got locked down in Japan finally for 8 months. It was a great experience, so I'm living vicariously through your travels now.

Canon 10-22mm with Metabones still in my a6400 for years, and it's been a holy grail for me even without OSS. All to be said, this is like a dream come true for wide-style. APS-C still rocks! Thank you Sony!
I recently jumped from sigma 16mm to sony 15mm for my a6700. After 6 years of using the sigma and sticking with it for its sharp excellent quality, the lighter weight and smaller form factor of the sony won me over. I agree with the point in the review that sony 15mm might be a good consideration if you own neither, unless budget is a huge concern
Compared to the 11mm 1.8 and 15mm 1.4. What would be a great lens for taking general scenery and maybe like the stars in the desert or flowers in a field and maybe some portraits? I like the 1.4 since maybe can be night scenes quite well but not sure if the 10-20mm better since it offers more coverage.

For Sony zve-10 which one would be a better choice Sony 15mm 1.4 or 11mm 1.8? I have Sony 50mm F1.8 OSS lens, looking for a wide angle lens with good aperture and sharpness. So that I can get good landscapes and potraits with a single lens.
@@artbyveer_ I haven't found an answer and I ended up buying 11mm 1.8 as it was cheaper. My review: It is a very good lens but the distortion is visible. When you try to take portraits with it, the edges don't look good. So I would say 15mm f1.4 would be a better option as it is wide with good auto focus features, so it will be good for portraits as well, also I heard it doesn't have distortions. I can say this from the experience with the 16mm f2.8 , which takes good portraits with a wide angle, The only reason I don't use that is that 16mm f2.8 has very bad autofocus.
The 11mm and 15mm primes are interesting. I think I will stick with the Tamron 1120 due to the F2.8. Would love to see the 15mm compared to the Sigma 16, both at F1.4. The size and weight saving would be attractive.

Hi Jason, love the content, I'm in that new place of finding a lens for my Sony ZVE10, I have the kit lens, 16-50mm, IO would prefer a sweet spot of 14mm, because I would like the camera without 36" and still wide enough, im looking at a few ideas, full frame prime lens at I think 20mm that fits Emount, or a prime 14mm or zoom lens with emount that can touch my sweet spot...could you please give me some advise, thanks in advance...

I tried crane m3. Arm too short. Can't balance with a 375g prime lens. Returned it. IMO, Iphone with cinematic mode can achieve similar blurring backgrounds.

I totally support that message! The Sigma 18-50 already killed off my Sony 35mm f1.8 OSS, and the new Sony 11mm will make the 12mm Samyang MF and Sigma 16mm f1.4 obsolete, too. The Sigma 56mm f1.4 is the prime APS-C prime!
I am so confused. I am planning to buy the new Sony a6700 and was looking at a 15mm lens for it. However, when you mentioned it's a 24mm FF equivalent, what does that mean? I understand that if I were to use Active Stabilisation, then there would be a 1.5 crop. But my confusion and question is, if I use the 15mm with the a6700 camera, would it crop from 15mm to 24mm without the use of stabilisation?

Don't use active steadyshot on ZV-e10, the good way is stabilization in catalyst afterwards, smoother, less crop, fixed rolling shutter problem

I totally support that message! The Sigma 18-50 already killed off my Sony 35mm f1.8 OSS, and the new Sony 11mm will make the 12mm Samyang MF and Sigma 16mm f1.4 obsolete, too. The Sigma 56mm f1.4 is the prime APS-C prime!
I am so confused. I am planning to buy the new Sony a6700 and was looking at a 15mm lens for it. However, when you mentioned it's a 24mm FF equivalent, what does that mean? I understand that if I were to use Active Stabilisation, then there would be a 1.5 crop. But my confusion and question is, if I use the 15mm with the a6700 camera, would it crop from 15mm to 24mm without the use of stabilisation?
