What u say at the end... This is why I like guattari's observation that all fantasies are group fantasies, also his machinic unconscious discovery, that is perfect for nooetic quantum woo woo theory, very prescient. In anti-oedipus they say that capitalism society couldn't handle even one living desire so instead of oedipedializing desire and forcing it to traverse the void of castration we should recognize that it produces the real and push it past the limit, or something I don't know, I dont care, to say anything too smart or even for grammar, thanks again this is really helping me out for understanding anti-oedipus and some mysterious secret stuff
This probably gave me the new vocabulary to expand on my past attempts in explaining what it is exactly that is happening to me. Such luck to find this lecture. Thank you!
This is a fantastic series. Love the concept of subjective destitution. Recently wrote "There is a nonbeing of the I that thinks," which mirrors the "I think where I am not" statement of 21:22. Gonna use it as a lens to go through (again) Derrida's Margins of Philosophy.
Did psychoanalysis take Michel Foucault's criticisms seriously? Does psychoanalysis deny the influence of the environment, surroundings, and society? Is a person's personality affected by experiences after childhood? Such as adolescence and youth
30:01 *Zizek’s materialism* “If we were to collectively reframe, as it were, our fantasmatic frame then reality itself would change. Hence, we are not the passive agents of a cruel reality and we have to flee into fantasy-it is that we are the active agents of fantasy and therein we can change reality.”
Good afternoon Jolian. Engaging as always. The Zizekian definition of the goal of psychoanalysis is intriguing as it combines theories across time. Per Freud's theories, the goal of psychoanalysis is to "bring unconscious material in mind into conscious awareness." I believe the attachment theories emerged later, around Lacan's time. I would love to know your perspective regarding connecting the being and becoming concepts to the perspective shared in this lecture? I can "small" a connection but I can't place my fingers on it if you know what I mean.
Cheers! Has there been a change in the way audio is recorded? It sounds so much better. I'd been struggling a little bit for like a month or so. Thank you so much for what you do, Julian! Big hug.
I read deleuze and guattari and they tell me I should be proud not to understand the psychoanalysis they are talking about in antioedipus, but here I am so I know and I thank you for the content to help me see what they were responding to. should the point not be to produce a happy and joyous subject? This destitution stuff sounds bad.
(post)structuralists have a lot to say about simulation and stuff and I have experimented with that very intensely, so I definitely know what they are talking about, besides their nonsensical semiology.Idk I think the Peirceian takes on iconicity and symbols and anti-nominalism is probs better for understanding that. Like Frederick Sterjnfelt talks about in diagrammotology. also, I like a thousand plateaus, that's a good book.

Your lectures are very very helpful. Words can not encapsulte my feelings gratefulness for your work. Thank you.
"Any mental analysis of the self without a material analysis of the world in which one lives, is nothing but solipsistic wankery"
"Wankery"... i'm going try to use this word today at some point.
@@ir0n2541 haha you're welcome :D
Is this video in some ways saying this is impossible?
True, but you can't do much about material conditions. Adaptation occurs in the individual.

When are you going to interview zizek Julian?? its due!!!
It’s like the Talmud interviewing the Torah. Simcha!

Attachment theories is partly what Lacan in some ways went against in his theories

Why did you tell that ticklish subject is more important than sublime object of idealogy?
Sorry , I just want to clarify. Are ultimate fantasy and fundamental fantasy the same thing?

I thought about another movie, "Being John Malkovich"
What is the evidence for any of this?
You want to place the fantasy of hope at the center of your frame..
