Absolutely beautiful piece, and that cherry looks especially nice against that wall color. I love the attention to detail in chamfering the slots for the saw blades too. Great job, man.
@@TwistedWorkshop77 Thanks1 I have a several in the works right at the moment. I appreciate it. Will be checking on your channel also for future works. Thanks again.
@@johnford7847 thanks! I can fit 3 more saws. After that I will have to trade out saws and upgrade. A couple of those in the till now are low quality saws I got a long time ago when I was learning to sharpen and file new teeth.
@@dreamlookautodetailingauto3353 I was limited by the lumber I had on hand but I have room for 3 more. After that, I will need to get rid of a saw if I want to add a new one. Probably a good way to control myself!
@1:00 That plane needs to be sharpened if you're exerting that much to push it through. It also could be that your blade is taking too much of a bite. @13:12 Yes, it looks like your is consistently set too aggressive. Think about backing off the blade a bit, it will make the work easier.
Nice saw till. Your joinery work was very good but I am curious about using pocket screws to hold the saw rest in place. Was that a solution after the carcass was glued up because I think you are capable of a mortise and tenon joints.
@@trep53 Thanks. Yea, the pocket holes hurt my soul a little! I was struggling to figure out how far in or out to place that board so that back saws and hand saws would sit properly in the till. At some point a gave up and decided to go with pocket holes since then I could have the case together and play around with the placement.
Still this is a very nice saw till. Like my father, I slapped mine together with unfinished scrap wood. My saw collection has grown so I’m considering a redo of it. First I need to check my scrap wood pile!
Dose anyone know if Blackburn tools is still in business? Over three months ago I purchased a dove tail saw kit and many other items from their website. I sent a follow up email a month ago and nothing. Can anyone tell me if they’re still in business?
Looks awesome, and my hats off to you for using the "expensive" paste wax. 😀
I like it, nicely done!

Nice build and very practical piece of shop furniture. Don't beat yourself up about pocket holes. They were a good solution that noone will see.
@@anthonyseiver7000 Thank you!
Beautiful! 🥰
Great videography too.
Love the way you blend power tools and hand tools.
If it's a tool, I'm addicted to it. 🤣

Nice job. I have yet to build my saw till. Someday I will get it done as well. lots of projects in front of that for now. Great work.
@@Ron-FabandBuild thanks! Looks like your knocking out a few good projects! That planter stand turned out great.

It's beautiful. But now you'll have to control your handsaw addiction, as it doesn't appear to be expandable. Good video. Thank you for sharing.

Got a lot of money in that coping saw.
Looks great, love the hybrid tools. I am buying more handtools bc they are a lot of fun.

That turned out beautiful! What about if you find more saws? Maybe you should've made it bigger for a few more for future saw purchases. 😉
