AD had a monster game because he was getting the touches he deserves. And he actually rotates his players. Lebron didn’t need to score 40 just to win. DLo was facilitating very well and being used in pick and rolls. He is already a massive upgrade to Ham

I think the Wolves will really miss KAT…he spaced the floor for Ant and gave them a big that could go inside/outside. With Gobert it’s always 4 on 5 on offense, and KAT was consistent as they come. Now Nas Reid has to play a bigger and different role.
I think Minnesota made a big mistake trading KAT to the Knicks. They literally lost one of their best scorers and his production is not going to be easy to replace.

Well, the Wolves also should run the offense through Randle. Doesn't mean he takes the most shots. But his strength is bully ball, draw a double, kick out and get motion in the offense. Ant grinds the offense to a halt. Just all iso ball, contested jumpers, etc. Inefficient scoring, and he's a bad passer. Too many of his kick out passes are at guys' feet or nearly over their heads. Ant is not a team player on offense, and this team is designed to have the ball moving with lots of player motion. Feed Randle, let everyone cycle around him Warriors' style (treat Randle like Draymond on offense, only a better scorer).
JJ redick indeed, is not being outworked. Team looked good, prepared, and had an identity already in just their first game. JJ was the perfect guy to come in & maximize with what talent you do have. He also convinced AD to transition to the 5 & he’s never committed to it with any coach. That says JJ has respect and pull.
This roster is good enough to win. They were last year too. Structure and Identity has been a problem with the Lakers. JJ brings offensive structure while allowing guys to play their game. The ball moved with fluidity and guys took shots in their comfort and range. The Lakers were missing this last year. My only push back is I believe Max should be starting over AR. His defense and length add more balance to start the game. Great opener. In JJ We Trust.
The assist totals from last night were remarkable for the Los Angeles Lakers. Ball got moved around, their were rim rocking jams throughout the teams performance, and overall everyone came through. Good fight by the Timberwolves. Alexander Walker and Anthony Edwards were two of the most exciting players for them. I am starting to think that Donte should join the 3 point competition for All Star Weekend. Divencenzo best strength is knocking down shots from deep distance. And I got to say the points in paint and getting on the fast break looked very good at times for Los Angeles. As a unit who thrived under LeBron and Anthony Davis this was truly a fantastic matchup to see. Great first victory, Lakers. That Jaxson Hayes dunk over Gobert and AD block shot brought two top highlight reels at Staples Center.
I remember how many of the media were criticizing the Lakers for Ham's firing, and also defending Ham as a solid coach. I know it is only one game, but i think Lakers definitely upgraded in the coaching department. One thing that really puzzled me about Ham's decisions was his constant lineup changes and rotations, even with all the injuries last season. JJ seems to enter the season already with a solid rotation and substitution schedule. Plus, there were several designed plays out of timeouts that they scored very easy baskets. Maybe JJ also had a hand in the emergence of Jackson Hayes who had a fantastic game. Knecht also a reason to be excited. We will keep watching and hoping for the best.

I think the Wolves will really miss KAT…he spaced the floor for Ant and gave them a big that could go inside/outside. With Gobert it’s always 4 on 5 on offense, and KAT was consistent as they come. Now Nas Reid has to play a bigger and different role.

Well, the Wolves also should run the offense through Randle. Doesn't mean he takes the most shots. But his strength is bully ball, draw a double, kick out and get motion in the offense. Ant grinds the offense to a halt. Just all iso ball, contested jumpers, etc. Inefficient scoring, and he's a bad passer. Too many of his kick out passes are at guys' feet or nearly over their heads. Ant is not a team player on offense, and this team is designed to have the ball moving with lots of player motion. Feed Randle, let everyone cycle around him Warriors' style (treat Randle like Draymond on offense, only a better scorer).

This roster is good enough to win. They were last year too. Structure and Identity has been a problem with the Lakers. JJ brings offensive structure while allowing guys to play their game. The ball moved with fluidity and guys took shots in their comfort and range. The Lakers were missing this last year. My only push back is I believe Max should be starting over AR. His defense and length add more balance to start the game. Great opener.

The assist totals from last night were remarkable for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Ball got moved around, their were rim rocking jams throughout the teams performance, and overall everyone came through. Good fight by the Timberwolves. Alexander Walker and Anthony Edwards were two of the most exciting players for them. I am starting to think that Donte should join the 3 point competition
for All Star Weekend. Divencenzo best strength is knocking down shots from deep distance. And I got to say the points in paint
and getting on the fast break looked very good at times for Los Angeles. As a unit

I remember how many of the media were criticizing the Lakers for Ham's firing, and also defending Ham as a solid coach. I know it is only one game, but i think Lakers definitely upgraded in the coaching department. One thing that really puzzled me about Ham's decisions was his constant lineup changes and rotations, even with all the injuries last season. JJ seems to enter the season already with a solid rotation and substitution schedule. Plus, there were several designed plays out of timeouts that they scored very easy baskets. Maybe JJ also had a hand in the emergence of Jackson Hayes who had a fantastic game. Knecht also a reason to be excited. We will keep watching and hoping for the best.
