I had my clippers for more than 20 years cause I always took mine apart and kept it clean inside and out and used Baby Oil on the cutting blades. Do it yourself restoration is not that difficult when putting it back together and it's a good way to save yourself money.
Well since these know it all commenters are spitting out all this ridiculousness about them being new and throw in mud or ash might as well 1up them ... I believe the videos in reverse smh they are like 20+ year old clippers and those kind are worth restoring wish I had some.
It's quite an old model, modern ones have a brushless motor inside & a crankshaft to translate the rotating movement to a sliding movement. I had one of these something like 20 years ago & it was such a pain (really) to make it work properly !
To entarndo no rama da barbearia. Me de uma dica ai meu brother.
You prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Sergio Tate i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have some old vintage clippers that are busted up or seized up. I don't know i grabbed them at a garage sale for a 2 bucks would love to see them running and usable. Do you do outside work like that for people. For a price of course.????
Восстановление ради контента! Новый триммер стоит 20 долларов. Восстановление заняло 2 дня. Стоимость рабочего дня получилось 10 долларов. Поэтому старую технику выкидывают, а не восстанавливают. К сожалению.
Video is awesome. I have a same kind of broken hari clipper. Please let me know how many turns that you wound and the gage of the copper coil. Thank you.
yes it's been chucked into the ash from the fire and the title needs changing but the coil winding was interesting and the winder itself is a brilliant bit of kit. I think it's made from a sewing machine. would be nice to have a closer look as I think it was first built for sewing thread spool winding then repurposed as a coil winder.
Mr Electricity, great video. One question though. I understand the math for calculating the windings, I am however stumped on how you get the coefficient of 50? Could you explain please.
The biggest difference between tools of yesterday and today - is old tools were designed and built to be serviceable by the owners, with the impression thats they only one you’d ever need to buy. Today - its all shit thats designed to break so you buy the newer model they INTEND on you having to buy.. this isn’t really an example of that, and its a bit on the extreme side, but damn, how cool is this..

Disassembling is easy, putting them back together is a real mastery.

If they are actually 20 plus years old wouldn't they be metal?
They look like my Wahl clippers from today. They're not old.
I have the kind of same old clipper, I restored it but had not to change the coil my coil was in good condition
Video is awesome
I'm not an expert in hair clippers but they looks relatively new, just left outside for a while
It's quite an old model, modern ones have a brushless motor inside & a crankshaft to translate the rotating movement to a sliding movement. I had one of these something like 20 years ago & it was such a pain (really) to make it work properly !
Quite awhile , judging from the corrosion on the wire winding he tore out of there.
@@jticklemaker1265 that makes sense. It never occurred to me that hair clippers would have a brushless motor nowadays
Brush less but big noise
I’m a barber many modern clippers are made with motors with brushes this is not that old of a clipper
you are really an amazing engineer, honestly.
I did not think this was going to be so interesting great job 😀👍
