I've had to wear a mask to work every day for 18 months now. My poor foundations (and there are many) are literally sitting and dying in the drawer. I've discovered some great powder foundations though & a handful of skin tints that really just take the edge off. But every now and again I open up the foundation drawer and just talk to my poor, neglected, expensive foundation children & tell them how much I miss them 😂😂 (I'm actually not kidding...)

I had so many foundations that I took advantage of not seeing people and used up a couple older foundations and tested a few others. I normally would hold on to them, but I've gotten better about testing a few primers with them and then passing them along (at least those that can be).
As soon as I spotted a couple of my favs in your declutter, I was like noooooo. At least with the 1st one the Estée Lauder, you decided to keep. But some others, hard to watch. You were a boss going through those!! Samantha, ever done a video on products and expirations? Like these foundations, do you discard after a year? I know people were always surprised when I’d recommend purging and discarding expired items when I worked in this industry.

I really enjoyed this video although I was SUPER shocked you got rid of the Charlotte Tilbury flawless Finish. I as well live in a super hot humid climate. I live in Savannah, Georgia. I have very dr skin so I really like dewy foundation, and skin tints, but I love the Estée Lauder double wear, and the CT flawless finish for nights out with the proper skin prep. To me they stay on amazing in this humid 100, and above weather we have in the summer. I know you have to work fast with the foundation, but it’s worth it. I tried to grab it through the screen lol 😂😂🤣😂!!!!!! Everything else I totally agreed with! Keep up With these kind of videos though I love them!!!!!!! Btw- I’m so glad you are close to Risa now. She is an amazing makeup artist to me. You guys looked so cute together when you posted the pictures of y’all going out! I enjoy watching both of y’all so much!!!! I feel like you should try mixing foundations more, it really helps when you have a foundation you love except for like one aspect, or maybe you have a really full coverage longwear foundation, but you don’t quite like the finish, you can mix a bit of a hydrating skin tint with a better finish in, so in the end you have a longwearing foundation that doesn’t look super dry and unflattering. I just did this for a wedding, and it meant my face didn’t sweat off in the heat but my skin also looked good in pictures!
I bought that neutrogena skin tint on your recommendation and I love it! I just ordered 2 more in a lighter shade for when the fall/winter comes. Great declutter Sam! Wow 50%!! 🙌🏻😊👍🏻

Right now I only own 2 foundations, the newer mac face and body and the revlon colourstay. I have been playing around with them and honestly I am on the fence about them. I want to pick back up the studio fix fluid foundation but I am unsure if I will love it like I used to and I want to try quite a few high end ones but have to restrain myself. Also watching with my brothers dog near by while its a bad rainy windy weather.

Its funny, you decluttered almost all of my favourites (Born This Way, Nars Matte, Bite, Fenty) , and kept the ones I am going to pass on (Hydromaniac, Face&Body, Pat McGrath) :-D I have a huge collection of foundations, as its my favourite makeup product and I love to try new stuff. I must have close to 40 different ones for each season but try to declutter at least 10 every season that I did not use the previous season. Living in Scandinavia with such weather changes (5F in the winter and 80F in the summer) and going from fair/light in the winter to deep tan in the summer, I do have my top 10 favourites in at least 2 shades to match my body all year round. I have full coverage foundations for winter, light coverage foundations for summer, some that I only use for special events, some I use for every day offfice, some for no-makeup days at home etc etc. Love to watch your declutters Samantha :-D

I just wear them anyway. I don't want them to expire on me without having used them
