I might be late on commenting on this video and maybe nobody will see this comment, but I come here every morning and afternoon because of my depression. This calming music helped me a lot. I just wanted to say thank you for letting me through my tough times.
I saw a video today on telegram that said Birdsong calms the vagus nerve which controls the fight flight or freeze response. I think I'm going to sleep with this on. I see you

"People find birdsong relaxing and reassuring because over thousands of years they have learnt when the birds sing they are safe, it's when birds stop singing that people need to worry. Birdsong is also nature's alarm clock, with the dawn chorus signalling the start of the day, so it stimulates us cognitively." Thanks for sharing..........👍👍👍💝💝💝
Can we talk about how this sound gives us flashbacks from our childhood when we were outside, it was sunny and everything seemed so much brighter and more colorful? It reminds me of the time when we didn’t have any problems and were just enjoying our childhood while playing on the grass 🥹
I play this track for my mom who is in hospital in palliative care. She spends most of her days sleeping now. When she hears your birds she sometimes smiles and her face opens up, eyebrows raised and I can see she is dreaming a lovely dream. The birds bring her out of her medicated sleep and lighten her brow. I hope she is dreaming she is at the lake, having a lovely cup of hot coffee, out on the deck watching the and listening to the birds and enjoying nature. This so far has been the best track on You Tube for our needs here in the Fort McMurray Hospital, it is just perfect. Thank you Jan 2021 - Thank you for so many loving and supportive comments. My mom did pass away not very long after I posted, my first post ever on you tube. I was overwhelmed today at all the people out there who are willing to touch another with kinds words, as I had not seen these comments. Words are very powerful! May all of you feel the power of connectedness that flows through all of us. I still listen to this track and the wonderful sounds of life on our planet. My mom speaks through them now. Pay attention to all nature, it is the secret language of God. Blessings
My daughter (8) has listened to this every night for over a year. She suffers terribly with anxiety and PTSD due to past trauma and this is the only thing that keeps her relaxed enough to sleep. No other "bird music" (as she calls it) matches this exact video or settles her so well and I'm very grateful for the person who posted this x

The blackbirds remind me of being 10 years old, waking up at 7am on Saturdays and walking amidst the trees and houses of my town in the Netherlands to deliver newspapers. The sense of peace and solitude was overwhelming, and I can still feel that memory right now 15 years later with this video.

When I close my eyes and listen to this, I think back to about 20 years ago. When I was a child, I would swing on my parents hammock in the backyard while looking up at the two massive trees holding it together. There leaves swaying in the breeze. The birds, the wind, the scent of summer mornings, and flowers in full bloom. It was very a special moment in time and this video took me there.Thank you from New Jersey.

My husband and I have played this in the early mornings when camping after the local birds wake us with their song. We found it brings more of them to our area and they sing in unison. It's very magical as the entire top of our tent is screen (without the rain fly on) and we can see them fill the trees. It's a wonderful sight. 🐦
+Skrael I find it definitely helps with the winter blues. I think the human brain doesn't function properly unless at least one of the senses is receiving input from nature, even if it is via recorded sound.
This beautiful flower carpet is so inviting! Just want to take off the shoes and sit there in peace listening to the beautiful bird song!. Thanks, very relaxing!

I and my cats listen to this particular nature video every single morning. I turn it on my iPhone before I get out of bed. 😊 It’s perfectly soothing and enlightening. I love waking up to the birds that warmingly surround us with their morning music. Thank you ❤
In my kitchen.. I open the windows in the morning to make coffee and the spring air flows in and the smell of rain with this sound of nature takes me to a different world.
Linda Casey Linda do you play this through a large screen TV like so many people are doing recently when they can't get outside. Thank you so mush for adding to these messages and for supporting my project of sending a few moments of calm out into the world. Johnnie
johnnielawson No, I put in on as background music (like right now). I love the visuals though and will watch them intently while going into meditation and/or fall asleep on the couch for an afternoon nap. I'm truly in heaven with this kind of stuff. I love nature and animals more and more the older I get. Thanks so much for making these videos. You have a good following of like-minded people who appreciate the finer things in life.
Linda Casey Yes there is a wonderful energy amongst so many of the people who come here, I am working on a way to make this project even more meaningful.
I love the sound of birds. They sing so beautifully. It feels like am working in a scenery environment lying on grass surrounded by trees. Nature is beautiful
Me too, Mary! So nice. Many birds/forests vids like this are getting tons of watch-time and love too on my channel. I have a new video like this with the addition of a gentle river nearby- going up tonight. Happy holidays.
Opposite for me.Nature is also very cruel tsunamis volcano earth quakes animals killing eachother cats torturing mice and birds to death . Tribal people living in nature can be cruel. Starving peoplevWars. Kind of makes me doubt a benevolent God. Why create that when you could create something different. Please dont say its because eve in garden of eden listened to a talking snake about eating a forbidden apple. 5000 years ago when dinosaurs were here first millions of years ago and the bones are there to prove it and scientists.
On nights my anxiety was especially bad last year where I couldn’t sleep, I’d listen to this. Just had a rough day today and revisited this video, and I just wanted to say that I’m so grateful for it. It’s calming, and though the memories I associate with having to fall asleep to this are bad, listening to it again reminds me of how far I’ve come in a year and how I need to not only take things one day at a time, but live my life to the fullest in all the ways I can, even when it’s hard. Thank you. And for those in a similar situation, please know that you’re not alone. There is hope.
Its a very cold, dreary winter here in the UK, can't wait to feel the heat of the sun and hear the birds! It reminds me of a nature reserve that I like to walk to, I hear all these birds its so relaxing..
I am in bed as a child (many , many years ago) on a warm sunny summerevening listening to my parents quitely talking outside and hear the blackbird wholeheartedly singing his evening song...
I love this. It loosens up my stress, it calms me down, it makes me relax in my brace for my spine, it takes away my nightmares, it takes away all the bad things. Thank you so much for putting this amazing bird music. This is why I love birds. Have a great day, and stay safe.
just got my motorcycle license and i just can`t wait till spring! riding ahead to south France or Spain until it almost gets dark. riding deep into a forest till i`m sure no one will bother me. make my tent ready, put my bike on a lock, and read a book with a flashlight in a sleeping bag till i fall asleep. waking up the next morning with bird sounds just like in this video while making a campfire to make some hot breakfast and tea to get ready for the next ride
Alors tu l'as fait ? Comment tu comptes mettre une tente, un sac de couchage, un livre, une lampe torche, de la nourriture dans ta moto, c'est une caravane ? xD
I live in a highrise next to a very busy highway. To hear a bird sing anytime at all, is a rarity. I love your channel for transporting me away from the steel, concrete, tarmac and rubber environment I am in, to the calming sounds of brooks, birds, rain and insects. Thank you!
Hello, This is great not only for studying and meditation, but also helps me a lot to overcome the winter blues. Everything here is white now and very cold, but somehow to hear these sounds make me forget winter is still here. Thank you so much.
Unlike you, I'm here in Rio de Janeiro, midsummer, over 41ºC, and listening to these birds to try to forget the heat and the lack of rain -- almost 60 days without rain over here...
This is helping my dog calm down after a full hour of barking/whining/pacing/panting during a very heavy & windy thunderstorm at 2am!! Who knew?? I need to wake up at 6:30am and could not calm him down despite putting on his Thundershirt and trying to pet him/soothe him. It must be so scary for dogs to have phobias of storms - but this video has really helped! He has not barked in about 20 mins, he's not laying down again, and he just took a nice deep and calm breath. Hopefully we can both get to sleep SOON! THANKS! :)
Oh to hear the birds, the joyous sound they bring The gusto to my flight of fancy, reminders of the spring I do not sit with them in glade of bluebell wood Yet my soul sighs and listens, is this adulthood? I perch at my desk, dashing off my words The cars rumble on outside, so loud they block the birds So I tune into nature I crave to hear it so A daily dose, a fix if you will, of a wood I’d like to know - 'Woodn't it be lovely' poem by me just now while listening :)
To everyone like me who suffers from bad mental health. I wish you all the love and comfort that this brings myself and you. I can't live without these ambient sounds.
the bluebell woods are so beautiful and if you are in them they have a wonderful perfume,I used to play in them as a child,I want to find them again, look at this scene above, pure joy.
This video really brings the calming power of nature to life. I’ve been lucky enough to experience the same tranquility in some remote forests. Nature has such a soothing and healing effect, doesn't it ?
When ever i'm stressed i go to a quiet canal, where there is a concrete base from an old bridge surrounded by tall trees filled with different kinds of birds all singing their own songs, and i just sit there for hours with the water about six inches below my feet watching the fish swim around. After 20 minutes i'm completely relaxed. Why anyone needs to rely on drink or drugs to relax is beyond me.
MickMaan Thanks for taking the time to leave your message on my video, I agree, it is wonderful to get out into nature, but not everyone can do so. It would be nice to think that people would turn to nature rather than drink or drugs for relaxation.Johnnie Lawson
Unfornately that is very true, my canal spot is a 20+ minute drive away but that is why videos like this are so great! Bring the outdoors indoors and relax.
MickMaan I am so pleased that I am able to do that for you, with the wonder that is the internet. Please pass these on to others who may also find them helpful in their lives.
As a school teacher, I struggle with anxiety - and maybe some kind of mind depression - and I play this in my AirPods whilst teaching. It really helps to keep me calm.🙏🏾🕊️
I've listened to this 100s of times since 2013 when I discovered Johnny Lawson's recordings in college. This and a few others remind me in the bleak midwinter that spring will come again. I LOVE the sound of the baby goat in this one -- or maybe it's a lamb!? Johnny, do you have one that captures dusk songs, when the birds are getting ready to bed down for the night? I love that time of day, particularly for the special bird concerts. The sound of water is soothing, but I do appreciate your recording with no water flowing to fill in the spaces. Silence between the notes makes this so gorgeous! Thank you for capturing some loveliness to share with the world!
I’m glad this track gently reminds us to slow done and breathe. I’m a nursing student and I listen to this while studying. It keeps my mind at a gentle yet consistent concentration. The air seems fresh. My mind seems a tad less stressed. It’s so comforting and inviting.

Great music! It helped me get through my frustrated times! To everyone reading this comment, whoever you are and where you are at, I wish you every success in every aspect of your life! Blessings to you!
I listen to the sounds of nature while working and sleeping.. I have it playing almost constantly over other music or audio books.. it gives me the feeling of being outdoors and no limitations on the roof keeping me bound inside... the Mind is a very powerful thing.. it goes with the flow or where ever you take it.. its your choice... I love nature and I cant get out enough.. it makes me feel free and limitless... I live in Southern California USA San Jacinto, CA in the desert.. there ARE bird sounds outside but not like in a forest.once in Long Beach in the City I could hear no birds for the un natural sounds of cars and engines of the city were drowning them out or there weren't enough singing to hear them... sad.. and this is my theory on lawlessness.. there is more crime in the city than in the country... and i believe it is because of the mind hearing too many un natural sounds that it destroys the mind of some people to the extent that they live lawless or cant THINK straight I am so blessed to have found your work.. thank you.. I love it
I absolutely love how relaxing and soothing this is! I play it when doing tasks around the house, or when I'm reading ...etc ...It wouldn't work for sleeping for me as to me, birds are daytime sounds and at a higher frequency that is not conductive to sleep. I like low tones/sounds for sleep. But this is great for daytime relaxation.
To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. may peace and calmness fill your life
The sound of birds is so calming Ana relaxing to me it helps with the anxiety that I’ve been having and also the depression as well I never thought hearing the sounds of birds is relaxing
I keep coming back to this when I have to spend the day at my desk. Having this on at least gives my brain a dose of being outside when I have no choice but to be inside. I really like the section when you can hear the lamb or goat baying in the background. Thanks Johnnie

Nice to find a video of nature sounds without the sound of water.
Well I love all the elements, especially water. I believe in magic and the elements are the strongest type of magic there is!
It's beautiful but it's practically birds singing only, MAYBE some insects and a breeze .
I think it's just difficult to find places that are quiet enough to record. Almost always some irritating industrialized noise, like cars or a plane.

To anyone here who is struggling, there’s no denying that current times are difficult, but you are far stronger than you might think and you are going to be alright. ❤️❤️❤️
🌹Nice thoughts. The world needs more of that ☮️🕊️
I and my cats listen to this particular nature video every single morning. I turn it on my iPhone before I get out of bed. 😊
It’s perfectly soothing and enlightening. I love waking up to the birds that warmingly surround us with their morning music.
Thank you ❤
Hello) Rate the relaxing short films on my new channel. Thank you)
In my kitchen.. I open the windows in the morning to make coffee and the spring air flows in and the smell of rain with this sound of nature takes me to a different world.
mariela alvarez What a lovely message, thank you Mariela.Johnnie Lawson
mariela alvarez Oh yummmmm ... I sort of do the same thing when weather permits .. when it doesn't, I play this video instead ..
Linda Casey
Linda do you play this through a large screen TV like so many people are doing recently when they can't get outside.
Linda Casey
Yes there is a wonderful energy amongst so many of the people who come here, I am working on a way to make this project even more meaningful.
This is so relaxing and nostalgic to me. I just love the sound of birds chirping, it really calms me down 😌
This is one of the best bird sounds...and I have listened to a lot.
Hearing from hospital bed, the pain in my leg can hardly let me.sleep, this kinda helps me alot. Thank you.
Get well soon.
@@lagitamaoa9155 thank you for your concern 😊 it took me 5 months to be able to walk. Now I can even run and lift thanks to God.
Whenever I have doubts about the existence of God, I listen to the sounds that nature creates, and my faith is renewed.
I never slept so fast ... without stopping advertisements and very relaxing .. Perfect! Thanks
There is nothing better than bird song and nature song. Hope you are well now Josh. Love and best wishes. 🐥🐦🦅🌲🌿🌾🍁
How lovely and relaxing the perfect way to unwind lisening to this
It is so soothing it feels like you are floating on a cloud

just got my motorcycle license and i just can`t wait till spring! riding ahead to south France or Spain until it almost gets dark. riding deep into a forest till i`m sure no one will bother me. make my tent ready, put my bike on a lock, and read a book with a flashlight in a sleeping bag till i fall asleep. waking up the next morning with bird sounds just like in this video while making a campfire to make some hot breakfast and tea to get ready for the next ride
2strokeboy 😏😏😏 sounds great!
man, this is my dream... i wish you wonderful spring and summer with your bike, ride safe :)
hey you too man :p
Alors tu l'as fait ?
Comment tu comptes mettre une tente, un sac de couchage, un livre, une lampe torche, de la nourriture dans ta moto, c'est une caravane ? xD
`2Strokeboy` it sounds great!!! You wrote 1 year ago, did you do the trip??
I live in a highrise next to a very busy highway. To hear a bird sing anytime at all, is a rarity. I love your channel for transporting me away from the steel, concrete, tarmac and rubber environment I am in, to the calming sounds of brooks, birds, rain and insects. Thank you!
Hello,
This is great not only for studying and meditation, but also helps me a lot to overcome the winter blues.
It always can be better, but too, it always can be worse.. Just appreciate what isn't wrong :)
Just appreciate the song :)
THANKS! :)
MegInWhispers n.
really glad I found this as it really helps me with my depression. I like to play it while I'm on the computer during the day.
I play it for my daughter
Very peaceful. I love the relaxing sounds of nature. Thanks for sharing.
I felt like I was at my grandma's yard, resting by the mango trees. Didn't even need to close my eyes. So good and paceful! Thank you, thank you!
I can close my eyes and sweet, joyous childhood memories of camping with my grandparents fills my head and ❤️👵💖
Oh to hear the birds, the joyous sound they bring
The gusto to my flight of fancy, reminders of the spring
I do not sit with them in glade of bluebell wood
Yet my soul sighs and listens, is this adulthood?
I perch at my desk, dashing off my words
The cars rumble on outside, so loud they block the birds
So I tune into nature I crave to hear it so
A daily dose, a fix if you will, of a wood I’d like to know
- 'Woodn't it be lovely' poem by me just now while listening :)
To everyone like me who suffers from bad mental health. I wish you all the love and comfort that this brings myself and you. I can't live without these ambient sounds.
That one bird just wants everyone to know he is there!
bohgirl24 sounds like the familiar black bird. We have this landscape where we live

Thanks man. Means alot. You don't get those words anymore
MickMaan
I am so pleased that I am able to do that for you, with the wonder that is the internet. Please pass these on to others who may also find them helpful in their lives.
I love birds, can hear many of these in the garden x
I am watching this from South Africa. so soothing. God is beautiful.

I am taking care of my Grandson's bird n play this n other bird recording's in the morning n his bird loves it!! Thank you for recording this...❤
Thank you. I had bad anxiety and couldn’t sleep but when i listened to this i fell asleep fast. :)
As a school teacher, I struggle with anxiety - and maybe some kind of mind depression - and I play this in my AirPods whilst teaching. It really helps to keep me calm.🙏🏾🕊️
❤ it might help to play these kind of calming Sound to your classes, while they have to write, to calm them down ❤
Hope you will be feeling better very soon !
Nice request, I look for the same... quiet waning dusk sounds of nature are hard to find on YT.
I’m glad this track gently reminds us to slow done and breathe. I’m a nursing student and I listen to this while studying. It keeps my mind at a gentle yet consistent concentration. The air seems fresh. My mind seems a tad less stressed. It’s so comforting and inviting.
Being a nursing student is not that easy. You're such a brave and strong person to be studying that! I hope you achieve a lot of success in future! Stay strong buddy!

Listening to Mother Nature is freeing us from Outer world! Amazing many Thanks
Durdona Abdusamikovna You are very welcome, thanks for supporting my calming videos.Johnnie Lawson
If people started to listen to nature more just now rather than listening to those in power and the media, the world would be a calmer place!
With this song, sitting and sipping a cup of coffee with my favorite book next to me, how peaceful and relaxing will I feel ☕☕💖💖
Perfect sounds for sleeping!
I heard a sheep. Unexpected! Blew my mind.
I live in Southern California USA San Jacinto, CA in the desert.. there ARE bird sounds outside but not like in a forest.once in Long Beach in the City I could hear no birds for the un natural sounds of cars and engines of the city were drowning them out or there weren't enough singing to hear them... sad.. and this is my theory on lawlessness.. there is more crime in the city than in the country... and i believe it is because of the mind hearing too many un natural sounds that it destroys the mind of some people to the extent that they live lawless or cant THINK straight
I am so blessed to have found your work.. thank you..

But this is great for daytime relaxation.
so peaceful ambience, better than waterfall sounds
great for studying on a sunny and warm day when actually being outside would be distracting
I slept so well listening to this last night! I read that listening to birdsong regulates our nervous systems. 😌🐤🐥🎼
This makes me miss summer! Totally different sounds to the howling of the wind in winter.
This is utter heaven....now going in my favourites!!
@@Shindler39 you too!😁

Shh... Listen. The birds are singing a lovely tune. Isn't it wonderful? Silent and calming.
Yeah, they'rr really lovely tô listen!
The best therapy!
I keep coming back to this when I have to spend the day at my desk. Having this on at least gives my brain a dose of being outside when I have no choice but to be inside. I really like the section when you can hear the lamb or goat baying in the background. Thanks Johnnie
I am delighted you are finding my videos helpful when at work, it is sheep that you hear, we have a lot of sheep in Ireland.
Thanks for supporting my channel.

I could search the comments below, but where in Ireland was this recorded? Noticing there is no errant airplane overhead or car driving by; A very peaceful setting. I live within 45 minutes of the Minneapolis MN metro and it's difficult to find a place so quiet. Congratulations on finding this beautiful spot.
