20 years ago I was 45 and although I’ve been dreaming about a World Series of poker entry from even before then this year, I finally got to play in a poker tournament on day one of the main event in the same room as day one the main but unfortunately it was only $250 buying tournament. And while I may not have 10 K laying around, but I’m willing to invest in the WSOP, what I did is that there are several different satellite levels one can enter to gain entry into the World Series. Next summer my plan is to go satellites until i either win entry or spend my budget

The 2004 WSOP was my first year there. Only played one smaller tournament. I remember it took an hour and a half to register for the tournament. The computer systems back then and printing the neck lanyards and being unprepared for 3 - 4 times the amount of players made it a struggle. But it was great to see all of these poker legends and a great experience!

Blinds are 50-100. Dude limps with JJ. Raise to 600 with AA. Dude jams all in for approximately 16,000 effective and gets snap called. 320BB pot. Epic.
If Dan Harrington isn’t in your top 10 you need to go back and evaluate yourself. Dude made consecutive final tables, not to mention back to back top 4s, in pokers biggest jump of growth between 03-04. One of the most underrated players of all time.

I’m pretty new to poker. How hard is it to get those types of tournaments? I’d imagine a lot of it is just through connections.
I've been in the tournament 3 times now, and it's not all it's cracked up to be. Unless u like long bathroom lines and dealers that suck.
