Fantastic Video bro. Keep up the good work. I just built a brewery in my garage and I plan to start putting out videos soon. It'll probably be complete garbage content but I need a new hobby. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'd love to see a repeat of the last challenge with different ingredients. I've a few other ideas that might work also
Use a local waste stream to make the best product possible ( eg whey, packing peanuts, fruits etc) Must be repeatable
Choose one recipe and each try to make it exactly the same. Compare results
Ask Alan Bishop to set and judge the challenge
Make a product from a botanical or fermentable local/ native to you. compare
      Thanks for the great content

The first bit of methanol should clean out the remainder of the still I would think.

Any tips for brazing/soldering copper to stainless steel? Im not having any luck doing so.

    Nice shiny new toy there.
Just for safety (I don't like using naked flames with a still), if anyone is getting something like this made from scratch, then I'd consider having a stainless steel or ferrous metal disc made. This would need to be designed to fit under your still base so you have the safer option of using a portable induction hob as well as gas.

I think a portable induction hob cycles on-off-on-off-on-off etc.

Hey Beaver, to avoid scorching (if there were some remnant particulates floating in the wash) would a diffuser plate between the pot & the burner be advised? Just an extra piece of flat copper or stainless to spread the heat out evenly.
Can't wait to see this puppy in action!

      Hey RubberDuck.
Yes absolutely a fantastic idea I have a diffuser plate in my big still but for this small boy, the opening a bit small so for this I will get some copper scrubbies to put in the bottom.
Thank you for the awesome suggestions

Hey Beaver. Excellent and sound advice when using gas fired appliances when distilling not many mention the dangers of ethanol and a naked flame. (South Wales. UK)

Hi Beaver, I use glassware for my still with a stainless steal pot and copper scrubbers in the pot. Citric acid is my go to for cleaning the scrubbers ,but for hard to remove scale/ gunk a good dash of hydrogen peroxide with the citric acid works wonders. Cheers

Very nice looking still but it would be better if the collection jar was further from the flame.
