11-15 is basically the "It's your opinion" section. All 5 of these players are even to me. I put Jalen Brunson above everyone else here because I am a Knicks fan but if I were a Timberwolves fan, I would put AE over him. All 8.5-9/10 players

While I agree Ant’s playmaking is a bit lacking at times, he deserves more credit that you gave him. He averaged almost 8 assists and 2.9 to’s in that Dallas series despite the whole team being cold
I believe you weighted rim pressure a bit too much over decision making and overall IQ. Brunson doesn't get to the rim often, but is consistently in floater range where he excels with his footwork and creates rim pressure that way. His decision making exceeds booker, donovan and Ant significantly. I would have him next to Ant and even though his decision making isn't there I would have him over Brunson slightly due to his two way on ball d ability when locked in. Don and Booker are behind Brunson in my book by a noticeable margin.

AD is suffering from rooster construction cause the lakers have streaky shooters, no real big men, and their shooters are bad on ball defenders. I think only embiid, Luka, jokic, giannis, and maybe sga but even then I think AD is more valuable than him. I also think d book should be higher because hes also in a bad situation as the suns are filled with weak defenders and his big man is a mf fraud but im not mad at where he is at.

@@nomesobrenome8539 i value health a good amount when ranking players, especially if its a consistent problem through multiple seasons, so I have Embiid and Kawhi lower than AD, and overall I just prefer AD’s overall value in 2024 compared to his other competition in Curry, LeBron, Tatum, and Durant, although I could see a good case for Curry or Tatum being over him, but a little harder to see a really good case for LeBron (due to defensive questions, rim pressure regression and durability issues) and Durant (non-existent rim pressure, inconsistent defense and durability issues as well) but 7-9 seems like a good range still, i feel he should just be a consensus top 10 player in basketball rn

I don't mind having Brunson below DBook/DMitch due to the defence b/c you're obviously splitting hairs there. The reason I'd have Brunson slightly above both though is that despite being the worst defender in a vacuum he's also the easiest to put strong defensive lineups around - Mitchell like you said becomes too PU3-reliant when he doesn't have as much room to operate in (whereas Brunson will always get to his spots regardless, a contrast that was very apparent in their '23 meeting) and Booker lacks the handle of an elite floor lifter. When you have strong personnel around you all that's needed for the most part is to understand the scheme, not make any overt errors, and hold up 1v1 just enough for the help to do the rest...and those are all the few things Brunson does do well defensively (as you note in the vid). Combine that with being the best offensive player of the 3 (which I take it you would agree with) and that's why he'd be the best of that group for me (can't go wrong w/ any order of course but those are just my 2 cents).
I gotta have jalen brunson atleast top 10. His regular season and especially playoffs were one of the best "relax I got this" jobs I've ever seen. His over under for points some nights were 38.5 he's an absolute offensive engine There's only about 5 or 6 other players I think would have a chance of doing what brunson did for the knicks this year

Every guard on this level has a significant weakness, and major strength, personally that means we have to lean into this years performance more and Brunson was on another level.
Do you believe that if Brunson is able to improve his efficiency with the digression of shot difficulty while keeping a similar volume (of course it wouldn't be the same as it was during the playoffs because of injuries) thanks to the tools around him he would be ranked higher? Also considering the fact that in his specific situation he will be hidden more on defense or may even be able to be considered a neutral thanks to the positives that you mentioned. Is there a way he maybe even cracks weak mvp level?
Sure he did that in the regular season which was insane but i’m speaking on his playoff production. He averaged 44% from the field and 31% from 3. What i’m saying is if jalen maintained a level of that production (~32/8 a game) which is much elevated from his rs numbers, but did it on around the same efficiency as his rs percentages would he crack the t10. fyi i do actually think jb is t10

Probably kyrie slightly, but I’ve been telling my brother that kyrie and booker are almost exactly the same player, their shot profile and shot diet is almost the same and they both don’t get to the rim much but when they do they always convert. Booker is just a bit better due to size in my opinion.

Bro Jalen Brown is better than Brunson, Book, Mitchell and arguably Ant because he proved it by winning a chip. Ant is great abs plays good D but he isn’t consistent in the playoffs. ANT in that Suns and Mavs series showed he is a better passer than Booker. Ive seen ANT doing no look half court skip passes in Game 3 vs the Suns which Booker never did yet.

I feel you’re putting too much emphasis on Ant improvement in weakness in the playoffs, playoffs are a small sample size and doesn’t mean his weakness aren’t still weakness, Ant has a better in between game than Dmitch but it’s still inconsistent and Dmitch was still proved to be a more effective player against better defenses in the playoffs and when you factor the enormous gap in passing I don’t see how Ant’s better, also Dmitch shot 40% on catch and shoot 3s
ANT still averaged 25/9/8 41%3p on only 2.9 turnovers vs Dallas. Mitchell is a way more inconsistent playoff performer and also advanced stats say ANT is the biggest playoff riser in history (even higher than Jamal Murray).

LeBron is definitely NOT a top 10 player. In the last 4 seasons he couldn't get his team to a top 6 seed and has been a liability. It was pretty clear in the playoffs that a guy like Brunson is much more valuable to his team than LeBron is.

Do you believe that if Brunson is able to improve his efficiency with the digression of shot difficulty while keeping a similar volume (of course it wouldn't be the same as it was during the playoffs because of injuries) thanks to the tools around him he would be ranked higher? Also considering the fact that in his specific situation he will be hidden more on defense or may even be able to be considered a neutral thanks to the positives that you mentioned. Is there a way he maybe even cracks weak mvp level?

Sure he did that in the regular season which was insane but i’m speaking on his playoff production. He averaged 44% from the field and 31% from 3. What i’m saying is if jalen maintained a level of that production (~32/8 a game) which is much elevated from his rs numbers, but did it on around the same efficiency as his rs percentages would he crack the t10. fyi i do actually think jb is t10

Probably kyrie slightly, but I’ve been telling my brother that kyrie and booker are almost exactly the same player, their shot profile and shot diet is almost the same and they both don’t get to the rim much but when they do they always convert. Booker is just a bit better due to size in my opinion.

Bro Jalen Brown is better than Brunson, Book, Mitchell and arguably Ant because he proved it by winning a chip. Ant is great abs plays good D but he isn’t consistent in the playoffs. AD and Brown are on the same level. The disrespect is crazy to me. If this was an offensive only list maybe it makes sense but JB is so much better a defender than the other dudes on this list makes him way more valuable. It honestly is crazy how low you ranked him. JT and JB should only be a few spots apart at most. And again I’m a Bulls and Nuggets fan.

I feel you’re putting too much emphasis on Ant improvement in weakness in the playoffs, playoffs are a small sample size and doesn’t mean his weakness aren’t still weakness, Ant has a better in between game than Dmitch but it’s still inconsistent and Dmitch was still proved to be a more effective player against better defenses in the playoffs and when you factor the enormous gap in passing I don’t see how Ant’s better, also Dmitch shot 40% on catch and shoot 3s
ANT still averaged 25/9/8 41%3p on only 2.9 turnovers vs Dallas. Mitchell is a way more inconsistent playoff performer and also advanced stats say ANT is the biggest playoff riser in history (even higher than Jamal Murray).

He’s done well in carrying an offense bereft of talent in the Knicks, which has translated in high volume and below average efficiency. Not sure if he could do the reverse, plus he doesn’t really gain any value on the defensive end.

LeBron is definitely NOT a top 10 player. In the last 4 seasons he couldn't get his team to a top 6 seed and has been a liability.
