Ahh... Childhood nostalgia, this was my first Megaman game, I was like 10 or 11, fireman was hella tough, but I remembered that I found the game legitimately challenging but fun. Dear God, I still remember some of the bosses' opening lines because I had to challenge them so many times. Now that I think about it, this game was like a platformer darksouls for me, so many of the bosses I had to constantly try and retry against because they had such huge healthpools and could like 4 shot me easy. Then again, exploiting some of the bosses weaknesses made it feel a lot less challenging...
This was my first gamecube game when i got it in 2003, I played the game, got to fireman and couldn't get passed him so after trying for 2 months i quit..2 years later ..i was bored so i tired again and I finally passed him and I beat the whole game the journey was amazing ^_^
@IMAMEETOOL Hahaha, Battle Network takes flame wars to a literal level. Remember the argument Heatman and Fireman got into during EXE 4, setting the internet on fire along the way without realizing it, until Megaman goes through internet flame war hell just to tell them that the net is on fire?
I’m pretty sure the other Navi FireMan and Match were facing during that scenario wasn’t HeatMan (since that’s Match’s other Navi), but BurnMan, who was with another pyromaniac Operator that was just as bad as Pre-Heel-Face-Turned Match, if not worse. That said, this level is an awe-inspiring starting level for this game.
No matter how many times the Z button Custom Menu reloads I never get the damn Bubbler. I always got it earlier in the level but now when I could actually use it, it never shows up.
To answer your question more directly, it's no more a waste than it is collecting chips for ammo anyways. You only need to collect and buy all the Buster/HP/MP upgrades, and get at least one of almost all chips, including Navi chips (which you should be doing anyways), chip versions (ie: Kunai 1, 2, & 3) to reach level 100. You don't need to be Level 99 to beat a Final Fantasy game, but it sure as hell HELPS. As I said: just kill everything along the way, and you'll easily reach a high level.
No, the only differe ending is if you get the Mystery Data before the Zero battle: 1) Without it, Mega and Protoman kill Zero, and when you beat the Life Virus R, the Professor is arrested by some SciLab (who're part of the Government) Agent, and Lan's dad pops in to say that he traced his location by somehow using the Virus' death as a signal. 2) With it, instead of Lan's dad, the Professor realizes that his PC was infected with the Zero Virus, and thus, Zero (he shows up), and helped Scilab
This games awesome! I haven't played it 3 years been thinking about replaying it. : D My Gamecube memory card got corrupted almost 3 years ago I lost 8 years of work I literally cried who wouldn't though -_- I never cry
Favorite track in the whole game! This was the only Battle Network game I enjoyed or bothered playing and it was tough as shit. Still somehow beat the entire thing in like 8 hours or something which I guess is okay? Maybe not. Seemed decent at the time though when I played it years ago.
Took me a while to beat him....Then I finally did and the 2nd boss I could never beat...You know what I find funny? He Jacked in in his room right? How exactly did he come in contact with Match? I'm starting to think Match snuck in his room xD
@Dandj412 Its the reason i like EXE and Classic, for me, these two series are the most nice serie with robotmasters/NetNavi, it's soooooo FUN! EXE serie have a lot of respect of the Classic Serie, in the end of axess, RockmanEXE use the soul unison (power element) to beat the netnavi, after final boss: Laserman....where he uses the power of all the doomed (doomed by Laserman) netnavis...... EXE is just the classic, but with a niiiice story !!
the game starts you off with the Dream/Life sword PA (sword wide sword long sword combo) L that does 400 Damage (or was it 500) and you can kill him with one hit.
Where did you get the "bubbler" weapon from? And what's the deal, you die and you lose your equipped weapons like the shotgun? I'm somewhat confused since my copy didn't come with the manual. :(
Maxing out ALL the chips is possible, but frustrating and uneccecary: Popup: for 5, shoot red Rush viruses a total of 1000 times (plus any mess-ups), as it takes 200 hits (not damage, HITS) for each, in Pharohman's stage Roll: you get 2 in the story, and like other Navi chips (except Bass and Zero), max is also 5. Otherwise, the slot machine in Colorman's stage. In all my years and all my replays; only ONCE did I get one more. Some chips for the LifeSword2 and 3 PAs are RARE Green Data drops.
hey guys, if you played this game, you may know about the Battle Simulator, Actually i haven't play this game. What happen if Megaman does lose with the navis in the Simulator?, Is over the game?, or is it a friendly battle?
It's not really important. It's somewhat based on how many Upgrade units you have, and how many kinds of chips. If you've been killing mostly everything, you ought to be Lv100 by the end of the game-- so it's more like "% of game completed", vaguely.
Wow... the Megabuster seems very unhelpful in this game usually that's the weapon in every Megaman game seems to be reliable.... Even in Megaman Maverick Hunter X
I love the music for Fireman's stage. It got stuck in my head for 8 hours once.
I love how this stage is a re-creation of the original stage from the original Megaman. Ah, the happy nostalgia!
Will always love this game in particular

The music on this stage is awesome, Megaman Network Transmission is one of the best gamecube games.

i love this version =O

I think this video proves Fireman wasn't given the Zero Virus. He was given the Flame Hyenard Virus instead.
This game looks nicer than I thought. Maybe I'll get this for my Wii.
Looks fun
Eh, plays like classic megaman with some new elements thrown in. Alright, I'm convinced. I'm buying
@progamer2413 That sucks, it's always a bugger when your Memory card craps out.
To answer your question more directly, it's no more a waste than it is collecting chips for ammo anyways.

yep. i noticed that the music has the same pitch but remixed.

longer version of the level song pls !!! without sounds ^^
This games awesome! I haven't played it 3 years been thinking about replaying it. : D My Gamecube memory card got corrupted almost 3 years ago I lost 8 years of work I literally cried who wouldn't though -_- I never cry
Cry baby
I've seen it in BN1 and BN6, but only those two.
BN2 started with AirMan,
BN3 with FlashMan,
BN4 = ShadeMan, and
BN5 = BlizzardMan.
@ColonelBluesEXE Well in a game series where megaman walks in on girls changing, what do you expect?
Favorite track in the whole game! This was the only Battle Network game I enjoyed or bothered playing and it was tough as shit. Still somehow beat the entire thing in like 8 hours or something which I guess is okay? Maybe not. Seemed decent at the time though when I played it years ago.
How come the platform that Fireman is standing on didn't fall? Those are blocks that are supposed to fall if you stand on them too long >:
music is awesome
Its a shame this theme only plays at the beginning of the game, its so epic!
this game is epic, period
This game gets MUCH easier as it goes on. still fairly difficult but once you get all the upgrades you aren't forced to rely on nothing but chips.
from 2 to 14 years i still couldn't beat him😥
Took me a while to beat him....Then I finally did and the 2nd boss I could never beat...You know what I find funny? He Jacked in in his room right? How exactly did he come in contact with Match? I'm starting to think Match snuck in his room xD
what does the level mean when you open to equip the heat suit on, on the top were it says 5
@Dandj412 Its the reason i like EXE and Classic, for me, these two series are the most nice serie with robotmasters/NetNavi, it's soooooo FUN!

if i hate the Battle Network series but love the old and X series, will I like this?
the game starts you off with the Dream/Life sword PA (sword wide sword long sword combo)

@dmnapier7 Amazon, eBay, any online game sites, or retro gaming shops
THE INTERNET... IS ON FIRE.
where can i find this game at i didn't see it in no gamestops
@teeman9266 Thinking of heatman?
wait a cybercrap second,
does Match guy said Zero Virus?!
Maxing out ALL the chips is possible, but frustrating and uneccecary:

I noted those two.
@Triskitout
Nah, its just that he look so much different from his original counterpart
im new to the NT series
@progamer2413 same here bro, i gotta get all my melee data back...
if you lose at the battle simulator you dont get game over, you just get sent back to your room like if you would have won, but you lost :( lol
hey guys, if you played this game, you may know about the Battle Simulator, Actually i haven't play this game. What happen if Megaman does lose with the navis in the Simulator?, Is over the game?, or is it a friendly battle?
Woah, you've gotta fix your audio desync.
This stage has a very similar layout to fireman from Mega Man 1.
Actually BN5 first boss was Colonel or Protoman,before blizzardman.
wasnt there going to be a sequel to this game??
do you get at least get a different ending or is it a waste of time
I've owned this game for 5 years, and still can't beat this pap smear. Fucking hate him...
It's not really important. It's somewhat based on how many Upgrade units you have, and how many kinds of chips. If you've been killing mostly everything, you ought to be Lv100 by the end of the game-- so it's more like "% of game completed", vaguely.
hmm, you can check gamefaqs for the damage, but I know for sure that one Dream Sword PA WILL take Fire Man out in one hit.
@PKh4d0uk3n damn melees the worst to lose one of the best if not replay value GC games played almost 500 hours with friends...
Would anybody be interested in playing an MMO like this?
bought this game just for Blazing Internet
Is this game good?.
Looks different than the Megaman Network Saga
@teeman9266 yes it is
this mega man didn't have "DASH"?
Omg nostalgia-gasm
Wow... the Megabuster seems very unhelpful in this game usually that's the weapon in every Megaman game seems to be reliable.... Even in Megaman Maverick Hunter X
I had no clue this game existed
Should I burn it?
er.. i mean buy it?
its cool but it'll never be as cool as zero in the x series and megaman zero series
Thats fireman?
Please send me the emutator dowload link !!!
sword types as cooler against bosses that is.
Maybe but its plays very slow compared to the X series
this game was wayyyyy too hard when i first got it
look for the dolphin emulator then just get any rom copy of this game. unfortunatly it takes longer to download the game then the emulator
But he doesn't have annoying, high-pitched yelling...
2:11 megaman fat???
Maybe it's the quality of the video, but I remember this game looking a lot better than this.
WELCOME TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!!
