You should make a base in smugglers pass just slightly north of the green obelisk past the two lakes in between large rocks. It’s kind of a canyon and it has beaver dams a lot
Around lat 30; long 20 if u 2 looking for new location base in the snowbiom. 2-3k health, 2k stamina should be enough for wolf in the wild, put more in the damage

I made a new challenge where you can only live on Platform saddles and you can only tame things that'll fit on your platform or can keep up with you and at the start you can tame something to get you up and running, I have a Pachy, Paracer and bronto rn it's great lol, hope it sounds fun, keep up the great vids ♡

Alex Gilbert you could just run to the Arctic with a Raptor and Tame a wolf Then just run back with both Or leave one and request it later(make sure no stuff is left in its inventory) I usually prefer taming a Wolf when i have an Iguanadon(lvl30 for saddle) because they are fast, pretty tanky and have unli stam on Quadraped mode

Getting an Iguanadon is pretty good for travelling the whole map since they use no Stam on Quadraped mode They are also pretty easy to tame It takes a few minutes but it is possible I actually live in the south of the map at lvl 70, near the lower south cave and although i have a Pelagornis, Pteranadon, Tape and Argy it is pretty quick to get there First time i went to the Artic is with a Trike(yes and it took sooo long) but i dont recommend it, this is from experience lol I also am planning to move near Polymer mountain or Fars peak so i have a lot of stone, metal and obsidian nearby Im probably gonna use a bronto to travel since mine is Tanky and has 5k weight It would take long but it will drastically improve my Effectiveness on travelling the map since its near the center
I play in a solo world 'cos I have way less lags but my base it at the really bottom of the map like on the beach at the super south so wolves are pretty far😂

Back when I played ark on pc use wood spikes build a perimeter around your tame itll help you can leave it and do stuff I always did it back then
