The retail edition now available in the US has player aids that don't have the Kickstarter pieces listed so they are more clear.
I like that it looks so simple and easy to teach. It might be a little too simple for most gamers, but might be a good way to introduce new players to the hobby. The price is really what bothers me though. Looking into the kickstarter, I saw it was €49 to get the base game and 1 of the current expansions (they didn't even have an option for just the base game).
this is the kind of game I would pick up at Target or Walmart for someone I'm trying to get into gaming, but isn't a huge fan for like $20-25. I can't see paying much more than that for it though. Certainly not upwards of $60.

I also backed this one and I can’t wait to add this to my game library I keep at work. I think this will work well for a variety of people and should play quickly enough to enjoy over lunch.
This looks great but seems a tad simple for my tastes. Maybe there is an extra layer there with the expansions.
This game fits all my rules. It's great fun and will be added to my game night pile
I put it in the introduction games for newpeople right along side santorini and splendor

I'm a little shocked about the 13+ age . I bought it hoping to play with my kids...do you think it's 13+?
@@searose6192 Absolutely not. My ten-year old likes it a lot and is quite able to win against adults, my six-year old can play, but is not really competitive.
Watched this on Kickstarter and at the last minute, decided not to back it... and have been wondering if I should've. I guess I know the answer now.

I just got this to play with my 8 and 11 yr old for spatial learning and rotational geometry in our Math class and I was looking at it with my 3 yr old. She was having a great time putting in pieces and then telling me which ones she needed to fill the cards. She's 3! I haven't played yet (watching the review for a how to play), but I don't think it will take her another decade to figure out how to upgrade and swap out her pieces, or select cards that she can fill...unless there is something I missed? Some deeper complexity? A little nervous about spending our monthly gaming budget on this one now if I am going to have to wait a few years to play it with my eldest if its secretly complex 😬 😞
It's pretty common for hobby games to list ages 13+, because the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act defines much more strict safety requirements for "children's products" which are generally defined as products intended for use by children under 13. It doesn't have anything to do with a minimum age that could potentially enjoy the game; it's just easier for the manufacturers to avoid the legal overhead, unless the game really is specifically intended for younger children.

Our gaming group is planning to order similar ones from www.g33kbox.com/ (square ones and stackable). You can find an online seller via the page and I see they want € 2,49 for a set of 3 boxes. 😊

Almost skipped this game but Jamey Stegmaier backing it swung me. It's been my most anticipated release this year since. Shame it's shipping slipped.
The whole time I was waiting for THE thing that surprises me. Like an additional layer of gameplay that sits on top of place piece-> get points and new pieces. But no...it really is just that.
Seems simple, but still fun.
The end. It does that dominion thing where when to go for blacks and stop building your supply depends on the other players.

I so love your game reviews, my friends and I always go to you for your opinion on games that we’re looking to get/play…
but this review just seemed to be a “sloppy” review that felt like you’re just rushing to “get it(the review) done”
Cards were tossed, and flipped upside-down, quick basic explanation, not a lot of detail into the rules..
Sorry- my feeling vs all your other awesome reviews.
