Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! Taking the viewers on their journey through mass rescues, drownings, resuscitations, shark sightings, and all number of the weird and wonderful experiences Bondi Beach dishes up.
In #BondiRescue the audience sees the action through the eyes of real characters and #lifeguards like Hoppo, Deano, Reidy, Jesse, Maxi, Whippet and Harries, as they catch thieves, perform CPR, make drug busts, break up fights, and even handle a navy bomb that washes ashore one afternoon. I lived in Montana for 4 years. People from all over came there to hike and camp for weeks at a time. What I was told applies to these beaches. ‘You can be Pennsylvania wilderness smart, the Sierra Nevada’s smart, Appalachia smart and die in Montana.’ They don’t equate. I watched an episode of Bondi where 3 Asian kids almost drowned. Their mom was about as far away from the water as she could be and still say she was ‘at the beach’. The kids were freaked out. They kept saying things like ‘it got deep so fast, the waves kept coming without a break!’ Even different beaches around the Hawaiian islands are radically different. The arrogance blows my mind

The bondi lifeguards are so inspiring and super influential, I’m honestly surprised that watching them from like 8000 miles away they can change someone’s life so significantly

I'm curious as to what's in the arm bands that some of the lifeguard's wear. It obviously doesn't matter if it gets wet or not and why don't all lifeguard's wear one. God bless and have a great day.
Great question! Those are actually microphones. When the Bondi Rescue crew is near the cameras, sometimes they don't need to wear separate microphones because the cameras can pick up audio. However, when the lifeguards are in the water, the microphones help capture audio when the cameras are farther away! 😊

Yeah, parts of New Jersey, USA might not get the swells and waves you fellows get all the time, but we do know what scary seas look like. And we definitely know what hurricanes can do...cyclones are baby hurricanes to us. Many of us do have respect for the oceans and high seas. Every shoreline is different, at different times. So many don't compute that.

It’s a subtropical climate in Sydney. The water gets cold enough to need a wetsuit while surfing, but it’s nice on the beach if you’re a tourist from a temperate climate.
I’ve done surfing before to know you have to wear a rash guard, when on a surf board. These guys are made of rubber.
