have you ever had one of those dreams that's so utterly vivid and lucid and has a feeling of timeless importance to it...like you're witnessing something utterly profound about the nature of consciousness and reality? and you know how hard it is to describe that feeling to someone else? well, this video...the movie and the song together...somehow touch on that better than anything i've ever seen/heard. i can't stop watching.
"It can't come quickly enough And now you've spent your life Waiting for this moment And when you finally saw it come It passed you by and left you so defeated." -- This describes the wonderful person I waited on. I looked for decades. I'm nothing but a monster to him now. And I am so defeated. I lost everything good in my life for him. I mean, he's a wonderful person. I just needed a place of acceptance with such a magnificent person I care(d) so much about. And it's just... Things aren't good, and each day is harder than the last. I can't live this life. I knew it was over on 09/09/22. But to lose everyone and everything one loves. The failure and disgrace in my existence is crushing.
Sailing through the tunnels In the morning by yourself There's a very special feeling True sensation all is well If you stand and reach your arms out wide Close your eyes and try to fly It's an underground illusion Tricking you from side to side We knew all the answers And we shouted them like anthems Anxious and suspicious That God knew how much we cheated It can't come quickly enough And now you've spent your life Waiting for this moment And when you finally saw it come It passed you by and left you so defeated Skyscrapers rise between us Keeping me from finding you If the concrete architecture disappeared there'd be so few Of us left to navigate and Defend ourselves from the tide It's an underground illusion Tricking you from side to side There's no indication of What we were meant to be Sucking up to strangers Throwing wishes to the sea It can't come quickly enough And now you've spent your life Waiting for this moment And when you finally saw it come It passed you by and Left you so defeated
This has always been my favorite of theirs.. I remember countless winter/autumn walks and exactly the lipgloss and perfume I used to wear while listening to it. XD It brings me back to my teenage years without a fault..

Interesting movie there. I know it's an album track but this should've really been a single from the band...I was out and about and this was playing in one of the record shops...sounds amazing with the volume turned up full!.
Sitting in my back garden 2006,jacob and my fishys waiting for feeding time, beautiful Sunshine,if only it could have gone on for ever......RIP Jacob....
I heard this song when I was half asleep half dreaming. It woke me up, and was INTENSE. At the time I had constant OOBE (Out of body experiences), during that time period. I would reflect back on a time where I was consciously aware to become one with the multiverse. Not drug induced. However does sound like a DMT experience. The lyrics in the song talking about an underground illusion tricking you from side to side reminds me of the illusion of reality. Matrix like, but also profound. The line that says sky scrapers rise between us keeping me from finding you, is searching for the "others" who are also aware, awake and connected with you (beneath it all). "soulmates", friends, lovers. There are only few of us "awake" left to *NAVIGATE* or control reality and defends ourselves from the "tide" of life, and once the concrete architecture disappears= (illusions) and distractions . We are meant to unite and rebuild reality, by helping awaken the other sleepers and dreamers to remind them and to understand reality aka existences so we all unlock hidden truths of the cosmos within us all. Some of us ;] can re-write the "scripts" of reality when we tap into this. Also this song reminded me not to get so distracted within the illusion of reality that we get lost and let the most important moments pass you by. I kind of used my imagination and took on a deeper meaning than most ;]
I’m convinced that U2, either consciously or unconsciously, lifted its main hook in “Miracle of Joey Ramone” from this song. There are articles about how Bono loved Scissor Sisters, yet I’ve never seen anyone put these two songs together
thx,You have made a magnificent clip, the song and a film are very similar under the maintenance and you ingeniously have connected them. And thanking you I has watched this excellent film
i favourited this years ago but i never actually mentioned that you made a great video, i love this song and brazil and you somehow managed to fit the whole film into 4 minutes and match it to a scissor sisters song it must have taken ages to edit. but anyway, well done, you've made peoples lives better because of this or something
i cant understand why love this song, and the video it´s amazing, too.. i mean ur version... this feel it´s my life now... and im criying now.. but tomorrow keep the feel,-...
It can't come quickly enough And now you've spent your life Waiting for this moment And when you finally saw it come It passed you by and Left you so defeated
I think this is my favorite out of your fan vids. I'm thinking of working up a number for the Scissor Sisters in Flash, but am not sure what song to do. Thanks for the awesome work you put into these. Nice editing job!
Skyscrapers between us.... brilliant use of Gilliam's vision here: (when the ringing in your ear comes it most definitely is an agreeable ringing) 440 420
I still love this song and I will never get tired of it. Jake's vocals are unbelievably fantastic !! The other one of theirs I really like is Comfortably Numb.
@deth2590 EPIC, confusing, and AWESOME pretty much covers it. Watched it for the first time the other night and it went straight to my top 5. It is pretty dark out though so BE WARNED

In the immortal words of Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush, don’t give up. One man’s monster is another man’s angel.
This looks like one of those movies that you accidentally end up watching when you are a little kid, and you are never the same afterward.
Bullseye 🎯! 😊
The movie title is Brazil
@SupraJulie Well said

Tricking you from side to side

Skyscrapers rise between us
Keeping me from finding you
If the concrete architecture
disappeared there'd be so few
Of us left to navigate and
Defend ourselves from the tide
It's an underground illusion
Tricking you from side to side
There's no indication of
What we were meant to be
Sucking up to strangers
Throwing wishes to the sea
It can't come quickly enough
And now you've spent your life
Waiting for this moment
And when you finally saw it come
It passed you by and
Left you so defeated

Ah memories rediscovered this after almost ten years...
For me it's more like 35 years...
wake up bro, it was 15 year ago
My absolute favorite from this talented band. Such a dark and emotional ride, great lyrics as well. Great video BTW. Works very well!!
I am madly in love with this! Love Brazil & Love this Song!!!
This song makes me either shiver (because of its use in PARTY MONSTERS at the end, which was wonderfully used) or cry....LOVE this group so much :)

What an awesome video! Fits the song so perfectly; a bit creepy and unnerving in surreal, dreamy - almost relaxing- kind of way. Amazing, well done!
I think it's the movie Brazil. Starring Johnathan Pryce.

It's all from a film called Brazil. Terry Gilliam's finest.
I thought so. Dystopian future with an Art-Deco style. If you've enjoyed any of Terry Gilliam's other films you would probably like it.
love this song so much
I think this is my favorite out of your fan vids. I'm thinking of working up a number for the Scissor Sisters in Flash, but am not sure what song to do. Thanks for the awesome work you put into these. Nice editing job!

"Предки всё допили" , раньше угарали
Things begin and end upon definition. That which has no definition has no beginning or ending. There is calm, beyond the wreckage.
nice vid
Great job people.
Thanks for this... great video... great sound...I love the live shows, but so often the sound runs me off.
This is me & my Andrew's song ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
it's in the description: Brazil
I don't know if you made this video but anyway it is great congratulation.
I wouldn't have expected a Sisters song to actually *move* me until I heard this track. The lyrics are ok too.
