I just subscribed to you after watching the last resellers roundtable. I took your advice and started slowly with the resell. I sold a book for 40 that I bought for 2 and I sold a painting for 30 that I had paid ten for. It's a start. Good videos, very inspirational.
Just shows you there is a buyer for everything out there. Always love these videos that show what the item actually sold for versus look at my " pick up scores"
Thanks my Brother! I'm making a go of reselling and your information is very beneficial. You help me see new categories to sell in. I will make this work
Fun to see what you found to sell! Our problem has been knowing what a good price is to pay for something to then turn around and list for profit. Thanks for the video! Great info!
Great video!!I am trying to get into this bussiness.I feel I was made for it.You really inspire me.I plan on getting things started this September.Wish me luck.
Cool items, love seeing different ideas for things that sell like those hair salon items. Lots of these items are a bit bulky for me as a seller from Canada, but still great info thanks for sharing! Also great photos in your posts.
The trumpet was a Bach Strad. if you ever seen a high school band it was the model and brand to have if it was working. All the serious High school players and half of college music major would be playing on one. So if they see it at a good price it will sell no problem.
Pete, I must thank you solely and directly concerning two little ebay flips I am enjoying. I usually back off of any electronics, cameras, motors, anything with moving parts and such. But I thought outside the box at a yard sale picking up a new Sony Battery Recharger, and a clean 35mm Canon Camera. The charger I picked up at $5, fast flipped in hours for $39 w/ s/h. The camera I dropped $10 on and it is bid up to $15.50 w/ s/h, with interest. So, thank you for helping my brain with that shift, even though a baby step. Great stuff here, and quite a niche with the electronics, especially Stereo stuff. Big problem I have is testing, very time consuming, so I find myself going after the usual niche stuff for me. I mentioned you in my first ever youtube video, and hope to give back some with my own small content, that is if folks actually take a look! Take Care, tom
Ebay is O.K. for selling garage sale and thrift store items but I have found new merchandise does not sell well on ebay. My new merchandise sells much, much better on amazon!
All depends on what you are selling. New auto parts and industrial items sell really well. A lot of the other new items have too much competition from the Chinese. To compete with the Chinese you have to have some serious hustle.
Hi, I enjoy your videos. I would like to know out of the 20 items what format on Ebay did you use. I noticed on the screen shots it does not show the number of bids. Are you using the best offer feature mostly (fixed price) or the auction format where it runs for like 7 days? Thanks very much.
I always love these niche items they sell like crazy. My question: on something like the speakers is how to you ship those? I assume you have someone pick them up.
Hey Do you still think it's proftible to use EBAY? I have to use UK's and I get taxed on ebay, and on paypal... I can never calculate properly the fees and when I do I understand that I will be losing money..
How do you deal with being a new seller and having zero feedback ? As an EBAY shopper from time to time I ignore sellers without lots of positive feedback and/or no feedback at all.
Great video - I'm seeing a huge range for the Bose 301s ($100-$300) under sold listings for identical pieces in similar condition, shipping, etc. Do you have an explanation for this?
A lot of the stuff you showed is used electronics of one kind or another. How do you know there isn't some glitch in it that you can't detect right on the spot when you plunk down all that cash for it? Don't you end up losing money on items that buyers return because there's something wrong with it?
+jamiedadawg That is horrible advice. eBay is continually frowning on no return items even knocking them down in search rankings, as well as the potential for not as described issues to force the return anyways. You have to be able to take the risk, test it as much as possible and be honest. Some people take the loss and don't bother with a return, others will return it.
+Chris J There is nothing wrong with listing like that as long as you state the item is AS-IS. Keep in mind +jaimiedawg, Just because you list something as no-returns, does not mean the buyer can't get a refund if the item was not as described. You can't get away with being dishonest on ebay, thankfully.
There is nothing wrong with it, but it's generally frowned upon these days and harder to sell items as is. Like I said just have to be as honest as possible and list all the quirks and whatnot.
It's not hard to sell, you just won't be getting the same price as you would for an item listed as working condition. People buy this kind of stuff all the time for parts and such, for me it's always an easy sale.
Careful with returns on items sold with free shipping. For example, a heavy item sold for $30 could easily cost $13 to ship. You've paid for the $13 shipping with the $30, then when the customer returns the product you're refunding the entire $30.
Dear Sir You are awesome. But I have a question i am living outside the U.S, in the Middle East, and i want to know if I want to sell something on Ebay or Amazon or Craigslist, should I shipping the item firstly to website or only I could put a picture for the item and when it sold i can make such shipment?
Hey Pete! Thanks for another great video. I have two items which are nowhere to find and one of them is on second auction right now but no bids. I would like to show them to you and ask for your advice. Can I post them on your FB page or is there other way to do it? Thanks for sharing your info about 'OfferUp' ! I got sales right after I sign up - same day and still getting more and more. I'm getting rid of the heavy, bulky stuff without worrying about shipping ! Great site! Thanks again and have a good day !
There are tons of reasons for offering FREE shipping. how your product ranks is one and perception. People don;t want to pay for shipping if they think someone else is giving away free shipping... You just build it into your product price.
Hi Pat, I watch you every chance I get, which isn't often enough! Thank you for all your great advice. Will you tell me the best/economical way to ship larger items? Thanks, Tracy C. (agent4u- ebay)
I like your laid back style, you seem down to earth and no fluff!!
I just subscribed to you after watching the last resellers roundtable. I took your advice and started slowly with the resell. I sold a book for 40 that I bought for 2 and I sold a painting for 30 that I had paid ten for. It's a start. Good videos, very inspirational.

Just subscribed!! I'm in the infant stages of reselling, but I've already learned alot watching your videos
So pretty much anything that goes 1/3 or less than the retail/going rate of the item.
Cool video, thank you :)
Hey man I like your videos, you have a cool calm demeanor about you
Great video!!I am trying to get into this bussiness.I feel I was made for it.You really inspire me.I plan on getting things started this September.Wish me luck.

Good video, great information. The box is now shattered and I'm looking outside it. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. I'm just getting back in to eBay after a 10 year hiatus. Your very informative. thanks.
That was a good video! You have to have some coins to play in that pool, but that's why there is not a lot of competition.

Awesome stuff, CLH!!! Thanks, look forward to the next one!
Chris Harrold Thank you Cheers !!
How did you ship the home entertainment center for only $40 expedited shipping?
Yep it's all about being able to find / locate those items.
The trumpet was a Bach Strad. if you ever seen a high school band it was the model and brand to have if it was working. All the serious High school players and half of college music major would be playing on one. So if they see it at a good price it will sell no problem.

What sites do you advertise your Ebay Items on? i.e. Google+ , Twitter, Facebook , etc ?
How do you deal with being a new seller and having zero feedback ?
As an EBAY shopper from time to time I ignore sellers without lots of positive feedback and/or no feedback at all.
TheAgentAssassin Sell some small items like pens, recipes, or coupons and you will get some sells quick.
Great video, great content. just subscribed :)

Bob Crestwood its called "Calculated Risk".
have you ever done a video explaining why you do free shipping on ebay?
Careful with returns on items sold with free shipping. For example, a heavy item sold for $30 could easily cost $13 to ship. You've paid for the $13 shipping with the $30, then when the customer returns the product you're refunding the entire $30.
Thank 3,amazing information
Great video just pick up some Bose 301 for $60

Brother, great video. I noticed you used a lot of "Uh's" and "You know". Ever notice this?
great vid !!! thanks
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing
Were these items sold on auction or Buy it now?
This sounds good but you are declaring gross/turnover as profit. Profit is gross less fees/costs...
Love your videos. How do you prepare you photos with backdrop.
Thank you
How does Pete know how much to offer when he encounters this stuff? Is he standing in front of the buyer while he looks them up on Ebay?
Pete when you say check the comps do you mean completed sales or competition
excellent info, thanks $$$$$$

About to buy a Yamaha MC1202 MC Mixer Audio for 60 dollars. Is that a good pick up?
Great video
how do you package everything? Do you do it yourself?
enjoy your video
YOU ~ ROCK ! !
I gained some good ideas here. Great video. New subscriber.
Great video. How long did the Fluke meter take to sell?
PortCity08 Only couple days. Cheers !!
Are you shipping Fedex on the heavy stuff?
How do you deal with all the Ebay fees? That's what crippled me.
But how does selling it with more money make people buy it? Do they not do enough research and just buy the first one?
It has a lot to do with your listing. Your wording and info you give them.
Bloggin Brandi Exactly. Nothing is actually free, unless you get it from a friend/relative. If you're paying. You're paying.
Do you write receipts when you buy off Craigslist or garage sales?
Trevor Heaton yes, it is highly recommend, of you'll get screwed over big time
Thanks
What service do you use to ship those heavy items? Thanks.
Gina Kellerup USPS. print your labels through eBay. You get a discount plus tracking.
COOL
Hi Pat,
I watch you every chance I get, which isn't often enough! Thank you for all your great advice. Will you tell me the best/economical way to ship larger items? Thanks, Tracy C. (agent4u- ebay)
