    Easily the most straightforward Polyend Play tutorial on TH-cam. It made genuinely excited when I actually understood how the functionality and how intuitive the workflow is. Thank you for this series. Hope you will do the same for the Play+.

    Thanks Ron for taking the time to do these videos. I loved everything you did for the Deluge and you did again for the Play!

    Just wanted to say, really great video! It was super easy to follow, and the way you presented was just superb! I’ve been out of music making for a bit and have been doing heavy research, and long story short, this was a must-buy. Your videos have definitely helped me wrap my head around the gear, and they clearly stand out from other people who have, like, 20k followers. Great work and keep it up

    Enjoyable and informative, better lighting on knobs might help your viewers see exactly what knob you are twiddling, subscribed.

    this is a good video. i just ordered mine earlier, wanted something different coming from maschine, mpc live, sp404 mk2. looks like a lot of fun and.... easy? i need to figure how to set the length of a note, like a quick press vs holding a note for half a bar etc

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no function like that, you have to set the sample start and end

  • @jordan_gentry

    Hi Ron, great vid. Is there any way to get rid of that click when changing parameters?

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is a preview that retriggers as you turn knob. Yes you can disable it. You would go into settings by clicking down knob and disable preview , it has different settings during payback, during stop, both, or off

    How does it compare to the Deluge? Which one do you prefer?

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Watch my videos and see how it operates differently. I have a lot of videos on how deluge works. Eventually I can make compare videos but I'm currently working on tutorials on the play.. These videos are laying out how it works so you can compare on your own. I prefer deluge but I like all of it and they all operate differently. Apples and oranges. But yes eventually I plan to make deluge compare videos. It's a big project

  • @romi2910001

    Mabe I missed it but is there a way to undo all the parameter changes in a row or the whole page but leave the notes still selected? Thanks

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That would be tough hmmm youd have to select the rows and then double tap the button of the params you want to reset. So then after that youd have to select notes again.

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Great demo. I am struggling updated to latest firmware but on fill it shows (no templates) what do I need to do please

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it's for melodic fill you need a sample folder for "bass" and "synth", specifically named that .

    • @ToastedGhost
      @ToastedGhost ปีที่แล้ว +1

      and if its drums? I downloaded the latest beats and melody fills and silly me it asked if I wanted to replace thinking if its the latest what could go wrong… derrr… lo

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ToastedGhost you can see it on the manual under audio sequencer/fill tool it says "beat fill" needs kick, snare, hihat folders to work :)

    • @ToastedGhost
      @ToastedGhost ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Its not very good for loops/slices though is it? Seems like it is pretty much exclusively one shots

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don't think it should be used for slices, personally. Theres so much other gear for that stuff, feel free to watch my other videos, you can go pretty far with only a few samples. If you're looking for something more standard, recommend to look elsewhere. Play is almost wired to be "slippery" and always leads to "happy mistakes". This sets it apart from other gear which is more wired to make what you want with full control. Thanks!
