I would like to remind everyone that no one should attempt this location! The OUPD are now in the building and keeping it preserved as is, is very important
Enjoyed your video. Interesting footage. Thanks for sharing! I believe I'm about to tear through your channel as I face the long night ahead. So many Interesting videos it appears. Looking forward to this and I definitely subbed.
U did a wonderful job making the videos i enjoy and like watching them the building inside and out is beautiful and gorgeous i would like too tour the place i feel bad for the people who passed away God Bless them and their souls R.I.P.
I am surprised that the roof is not a total wreck yet , the scrappers have not totaled the place yet, and even most the lock cylinders are mostly intact , and vandals have not totally ruined the place yet !
Window covers with holes: My guess is that they were used on patients who could not keep their clothes on. On youtube, former staff stated that some patients were constantly trying to be naked.

The Ridges are my new hyperfixation, thank you so much for posting these videos so I can see the inside!
I'm so happy to see it's not smashed up and covered in spray paint

There are so many unmarked graves there
I live in Athens and always was wondering what was in there so thank you I wanna go investigate it so badly
What an amazing find! Truly beautiful
Kirkbride buildings are awesome.
I've always wanted to see inside here
Can I ask how you got in? I'm at the university and have been trying to get permission from the school to do photography inside for awhile.
Amazing structure
Oh my so wonderful and so sad
So sad and it's an interesting place
Austin get a mask at home depot that's rated to filter out mold and asbestos and will also filter out lead paint dust. You can get one for about $25.
Interesting. I did my nursing clinicals here in 1987! Watch for the lead paint.
Are you related to George by chance? Or just same last name lol
@@TravelwithAustin Just the same name...no relation.
Kuddos for you for going in by yourself. I would have pooped my pants if I didn’t have ppl with me.

Probably because of tight security keeping the drunken kids out.
We just visited today! The forth floor is where the lady Margret died, her outline is still on the floor!
Yes her stain is actually on the opposite side as this wing. I saw it in person back in 2018 before that side was renovated.
I believe the large rooms would have been what was known as the Day room.
Bro I would definitely go on some Gost hunting with you to some abandoned places
Wow this is so cool u r best urban explorer
hey! awesome video. when was this recorded? you mention that OUPD is _now_ in the complex, so I figure this must be from awhile ago, no?
It's from a few years ago but they are still housed in the Ridges
Yahaha! You found me!
How did you get inside?????
Grandma fell into the duck pond there and drowed.had a heart attack.I believe from the electro shock.😢
🔥🔥🔥🔥
I live in Athens county

My grandma was a patient there they gave her electro shock therapy horriable.she said.😢
Why didnt you visit margarets room?
Completely different side of the asylum and her room is now in the renovated section and blocked off
I feel nothing here
Why are the circular windows famous?
I probably said famous in reference to my obsession over them tbh. They're one of my favorite features!
@@TravelwithAustin awesome!
3:10: Windows covered with a metal sheet with holes in it: See next posting:
