      Hey bro! The lens color doesn’t really matter, as long as they’re good polarized lens, such as Costa, Oakley, Maui, Jim, etc.

    I have watched many of your videos and have found them extremely well done and helpful. On a sailboat What is the best way to polish interior as well as the teak to rejuvenate? Thanks and I will keep watching.

      Teak Restoration: m.th-cam.com/video/hDLy00rCmDk/w-d-xo.html
      Here’s two videos that should really help you out with that! As for the sailboat specifically, the same principle applies if it’s gelcoat.

      The hall would have to be done when the boat is out of the water, or I would need a floating pad. In this case, the customer did not want us to do the hull sides in a different detail package, we do the hull sides.

    Great video, nice to have new content in a long format! The more you explain every little choice the better. Do you use 6" CCS pads on a 5" backing plate? And what made you choose the M8Sv2 over the Rupes Mille on this job?

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the feedback 💯💯
      Yes we used 6inch pads on 5 inch backing … only because I wanted a lager pad but didn’t have a 6 inch backing.
      Also, I went with the m8sv2 because it’s much easier to handle, the wool and rotary pulled all defects out so the M8s was great for cleaning up the light holograms.. the Rupes would have been over kill! 💯

    Hey Drake, great video the boat turned out impeccable, I am a long time viewer and I enjoy all of your video's. Just Curious as to why you chose Jescar Power lock over Beadlock Pro for this job?

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching!
      This customer had a bad experience with ceramic in the past and told me not to use it on his boat. He just wanted a good wax 💯 this boat would have been perfect for beadlock pro but the customer had someone sell him ceramic in the past, and it only lasted a few months he said… unfortunately that’s how it goes when detailers don’t know what they are doing or use a bad product.

In my opinion, it's the best cleaning product on earth as far as cleaning grease, grime, mold all most anything, you name it. But I give a warning to people reading this post. Do not ever use Castro Super Clean on aluminum because it will eat it..✌️

      If it’s an older boat you can use rust aid from home depot. It is an acid so it will etch the gel coat a little but it will remove the orange line.

    Can you use a DA polisher for the compounding stage? I have a friend who is going to let me use their boat as a test detail. I have a DA for car compounding.

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately, in my experience, ADA polisher is not near powerful enough too heavy, cut oxidation out of gel coat. I’d save it for light paint, corrections, and applying sealant. If you want to cut oxidation, you need to have a rotary buffer. Then you can remove the swirls with either ADA, polisher, or force rotation polisher.

Can you please tell me, thanks a lot :)

    Is it safe to do this on a boat multiple times a year? Or once a year?

    • @DrakesDetailing
      @DrakesDetailing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ultimately, this should be done once then maintained correctly so you don’t have to do this every year. It’s not sustainable to do this to gelcoat all the time. Overtime, you will wear down the gelcoat from buffing and sanding so much to a point were the boat will need re-gelcoated
