Thank you AMA for choosing Stray Kids to be part of this year's celebration! A great choice. As a teen in the 1980's, these talented men were a surprise to me and watching them succeed over the last several years has been a great pleasure.
As a young mum in the eighties I loved boybands and am now a Stray Kids fan, a STAY. Age is no barrier to appreciating talent. These boys are amazing and I'm so glad they've landed on the big stage. They deserve it! ❤

guys Bangchan’s going deeper with his voice makes me go crazy hello??????? I thought my phone was acting up 😭
The tempo on Chk Chk Boom was slower which resulted in every single note being held a tad longer. In order to accommodate for this, they all had to change the way they sang their parts. This resulted in everyone sounding slightly different and for Chan in meant using his chest voice a little more.

Yooo performing without a backing track screams CONFIDENCE and I LOVE the bold choice. Stray Kids said ‘we’re live’ and proved it flawlessly with perfect vocals, choreo and song arrangement. Congrats kings!!

@@drewx2737 you’re right! I think they removed it in some parts and kept it at a low volume in other bits. Still very subtle compared to other performances and their live vocals are extremely clear ^^

i just really love the way the 2nd half of CHK CHK BOOM is arranged - when they said tribute to 90s boy bands, they MEANT it. The way they created an arrangement with the synth and keyboard sounds, mechanical sound effects, and signature beat patterns thst was typical of 90s-00s boy band hits so that it blended smoothly into the BYE BYE BYE dance break was just SO genius. I love that this performance wasnt just about one of the world's biggest kpop groups performing a Westeen hit, it was also about them showcasing their own music, style and production while also honoring the influence that mainstream boybands like NSYNC had on the evolution of kpop as a whole.

Chan grew up listening to power pop songs. He understands the structure of these songs like blood flowing in his veins. I bet Versa Choi has a hand in this mashup as well. This mashup is a banger that builds momentum.

I was surprised at every big stage, but Stray Kids' arrangement is also really great. I think BANG CHAN will lead. He's a real genius. And Hyunjin makes it hard for viewers to take their eyes off him. His dance, handsomeness, facial expressions, and control of the stage are the best HAN's versatile skills and CHANGBIN's powerful rap are the identity of Stray Kids

I don't know if we can fully comprehend the significance of SKZ appearance on the AMAs 50th anniversary. Or the fact that Korean was heard in this all American celebration reflecting the shift in boy band appreciation of the now while respecting the boy band past. I'm so proud for the boys. The mix was amazing. Kudos to the choreo and the live vocals.
