Its a nice piece of work. A good achievement by a Sri Lankan. Private sector is doing its best in many segments but not all the private sector is doing it genuinely. One of the most valuable market when it comes to property prices. Convenience is the key factor in this locality. Area is home for the elites of the past and some at present. Sadly little further down just about 200meters from the Grand prime is the location where you will find poorly disciplined day to day life. Borella juntion and the roads that leads to many areas. A very busy juntion about a million passengers travel pass this juntion each working day. A pathetic site along those streets where extremely poorly constructed and designed cith plan. Some are at a state of ruins. Never ending bus horn noice by arregant bus drivers and some lite vehicles. Public urination and dumping of human stools by the bus staff living inside the buses in that area. Its a beggars paradise. Our traditional beetle spits decorates each corner of those pavements. Our highly literate society decorates pavements with every possible litter. If you walk along ward place road towards borella juntion and continue towards Maradan road till Pizza hut before 6.30 in the morning, anyone will witness the beauty of this area. If you stay for few hours near sadeepa bookstore, you will see the publice toilet made used by passengers. ( there is no public toilet physically). Yes the private sector will do more such beautiful constructions. But the law makers must wake up, to help and discipline this society. Some doesn't know a way of good life , better living and the quality. Our education system does not provide such teaching. Our places of worship does not teach such and have failed miserably. At least the private sector influencers such as Mr Premalal, Dammika perera ect... should take the lead and force the authorities to take control of it. We have municipalities that keep cleaning the roads apart from other services. But our society the general public destroys the beauty each day. On the other hand municipality must design the architecture of the city and have a strict controls. There are so many unauthorised construction happening on a regular basis in the areas i mentioned. Public transport authirity should impliment strict measures to stop using air horn in the city limits. I do not see any action been taken by those who is responsible to maintain law and order to prevent such noice pollution at least im the city limits. We have never ending loud soeaker noises pass midnight. Actions only been taken if complaines were made. In this society i do not see self correcting citizens. So majority are ignorance. Not only the givernments needs 360 turn the citizens and their behavioral change too needs a 360 system change.
