Kirk would definitely work there but Lulu, his girlfriend, owns it. Or it would totally be the type of place Liz would run and her daughter could work there.
I love the thought of Lulu running the shop! They’d have to compete with Anna’s clothing boutique and I could see Kirk and Lulu getting very passionate about it and maybe even handing out fliers for their shop in front of Anna’s store to snag customers…a throwback to Kirk in his hotdog costume in front of Luke’s trying to drum up lunch business for Suki at the Dragonfly. 😂
This building series keeps me smiling at the screen so much. I was wondering about the traffic light outside Luke's, because I remember the car crash, the situation with the speed camera, and other moments from that season. 💜 The "No cellphones" sign was a must, and I’m so glad someone made that picture! I laughed at the color of the walls because I remembered all the back-and-forth with Lorelai when they were about to paint. 😂 Yesss, Jess still living there is perfect, too. Aaand... I laughed hard again when you mentioned the shelf that Luke’s brother-in-law made for him. That character is so marvelous just for the way he grinds my nerves every time he appears. 🤣🤣🙈 Yes! Round tables might be easier to film, making the spectator feel like they are "seated" with them and providing a better panoramic view of the scene. On the other hand, at Emily and Richard's home, a large rectangular table is a must because it’s needed to have them seated at the ends as "Lord and Lady," creating more tension between the characters as they are literally distant. Definitely, Kirk would run the thrift store... as he does almost every single store in town! And yeah, I totally understand the struggle with that piece of trim showing inside the hallway. They are so cursed that it’s impossible to take them off without removing the entire trim outside too. 😅 I celebrate your patience nonetheless. I gave up on trims years ago. 😅 OMG, after Taylor's soda shop, the only thing that could make it worse for Luke is having a big, noisy, and messy family living above his apartment. Or maybe just Kirk! That would work too. xD You did a terrific job, and it’s even better because you took the gaming aspects into consideration too! Some things I’d add to the exterior: Luke’s dad’s boat (I can’t get over that fight, lol), a place for the town troubadour to play for tips, and maybe some graffiti, books, and a reading spot behind the building (of course, Jess being himself and avoiding his uncle). As with the previous buildings, you nailed it! 🥰
i think that in the 50s and stuff there were soda/candy/ice cream shops. Especially for ice cream floats! that's usually root beer soda with vanilla ice cream and a cherry in it. soda shops had different syrups and stuff. soda shops are kinda still a thing in Utah for Mormons but its a different vibe

Loving this series , it's so good . Would love to see miss Patty's , the music shop would be cute combined with the secret bar from the new episode or with the karoake bar where lorelai sings. The gazebo is iconic but difficult to be a lot type , maybe it could have a Famers market .
I love love how accurate your gilmore girls builds are!!! I think your depiction of lukes apartment is very fitting too because it's not that hes messy its that he has a lot of baggage (emotionally and literally) from his past that he never lets go of or processes!
A possible reason behind the round tables: its probably easier to position characters in a scene to get good camera angles with a round table than it would be with a square one 🤔 great job with the build!! It looks so good and was entertaining to watch ☺️
I love it!! If I remember correctly, there's an opening, between the kitchen and the main area, from where Cesar call's out his weird ideas! That would of been fun, but your build is awesomeI can't wait to see the Dragonfly Inn!!!
I think that they get up around 6-630. Luke probably opens around 6 anyways. Being nearly a 24 hr diner. But being 5 minutes away it’s not too unheard of.

In reference to your added clothing store.. I remember in (I think season 2?) Rory's dad visits and takes her to a book store. I can totally see that taking place of where you put the clothing store. Also, I love your builds. You have such talent!

A soda shop is a very American thing 😅 it's an old time, from the 50s, shop. They would have house made sodas, milkshakes, ice cream. Things like that. There was a small one in my town!
I think Liz would run the Thrift store!! She already runs an accessories booth at the Renaissance fair. And I could totally see her begging Luke for her own store front.
Richard and Emily live in Hartford, in a really rich neighborhood, so that might be why they don't have a round table. I know that there's a kit or set that does have an ice cream maker in it, so a few different ice cream flavors could be made.
Kirk would run the thriftstore. He has all those ridiculus Jobs 😂 i can total see him doing that as well. Asking around and anoing everyone to gibe him stuff to soll in the store😂

Above the soda shop is actually part of Luke's apartment, He expanded thats how he ended up renting out the soda shop to Taylor :)
