I took my niece and nephew to Goodwill and they chose items they wanted me to transform into spring decor. They chose whatever they liked which included a metal flower, a cactus bird house, a pair of wooden clogs, a clock, a wood and stick basket, and a pepper mill! What would you do with these items?

In case you’re curious, Jasper liked the pepper mill rabbit best. Sadie liked the wood basket best. And, they both liked that I used the driftwood in another project. Since they live out of state, they hadn’t seen the final projects until the video came out today.
I know you were so happy to make some good memories with them!! Hard to do when they live far away!
What you did with the leftover driftwood and pepper milk ended up being my favorite!
You don’t craft. You make art. You are so impressive.
Oh, Candice, you are so sweet! 😊
I agree
My favorite is your project with the leftover items. And, I love birds as much as you, so keep adding them to your projects.
Agree!
Oh my stars, Sherri, you are a genius. These projects are fabulous and honestly it’s to hard to pick a favorite, but you took that broken drift wood into something absolutely wonderful. You have the magic touch but I should really say, God blessed you with best gift for crafting by taking something broken and ugly to make it beautiful. That’s what God does in our lives. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents with us all.😊❤
Your comment was so lovely, Margaretdillinger! I feel the same about Sherri!
OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! That Pepper Mill Rabbit is absolutely adorable!!!
Oh, thank you! Jasper will be so happy that his choice is the favorite!
I second that!!!
Yes, milk paint bunny came out Great❣️
Embrace the accidents.
I'm glad you did the milk paint and that it didn't work the way you wanted.
I loved this video. First of all, your niece and nephew are great kids. Kind and polite. Their parents have done an admirable job. I loved all the projects. Before anyone mentions the use of birds: you go girl and add birds to your hearts is content! Yes please, more videos like this one.
Thank you so much, Tamara! They are really good kids. I sure wish they lived closer, so I could see them more often.
I loved the bird house and the rabbit
You have the best decorating sense of anyone I’ve watched on Utube. 😊
Wow, thank you! That is so incredibly sweet of you to say! 😊
What a fun video! I sure did enjoy watching Sadie and Jasper help you shop. They are adorable ❤they did so well picking out items for you to makeover and you definitely met the challenge. The mishap on the pepper mill bunny turned out great. Much love to you, Sadie and Jasper ❤️ T.
You are the BEST !!!!
I loved all of them and so enjoy seeing how you correct any problems that occur. However, I have to say that the driftwood bird cage is my favorite. The fact that you rescued it even after it went to pieces was just stellar. All of these projects were just so whimsical. Thank you, Sherri, for the inspiration you foster.
You are just too amazing! The Lord must look down and say “ yup, thats my creative daughter!” I cant wait from week to week to see what you’re going to surprise us with.❤
I really like it when you have someone choose the items from a thrift store for you to DIY. Please do more of this. I had to laugh when I thought about which of the creations was my favorite because I love what you did with your leftover pieces.😂
You are the MOST CREATIVE person I’ve ever known!! No limits to your imagination! That bunny pepper mill was outstanding! So Farmhouse. Actually everything was so innovative and adorable! You’re the Queen of the recycling world!
Your artistic mind blows my mind! You certainly waste not! 🙌
Persistence wins the day! Loved them all but that last leftover piece gave me joy! It was so you! Blessed spring days are coming!
Thank you! You too!
I like the pepper mill bunny and the Christmas tree carrots!! The kids must have had fun picking & choosing items!! TFS.😊❤
You know.....I adore you for your wonderful use of birds!!!! I think the way you redid the birdhouse really scored with me.....how could it not....look at that precious little bird you used!!!!
“I wanted to throw it REALLY HARD into the garbage can!”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve had those moments too😂
You nailed them all!
No, you didn’t ruin the pepper mill! I love the rustic look. ❤️👍🏻 And the Dutch shoes turned out adorable too! ❤👏🏻👏🏻 Your niece & nephew are such cute kids & great helpers. 🥰❤️
I love that you collaborated with your niece & nephew! You soooo surprised me with that birdhouse. You made that piece of trash into a real treasure! Well done.
Adorable children!
I just love all your creations this week! Each time you repaired a crack or break with moss and glue I was so impressed. The project I was completely amazed by was the driftwood. When it broke apart, if it had been me, I would have tossed it. But you persevered and made it into a thing of beauty, so I have to say that it's my favorite this week. As another commenter pointed out, you are an artist! Your grandkids seem like terrific people! How wonderful that they could spend some time with you to help put this video together. Happy Valentine's Day! ❤
Thank you so much, Elizabeth! Surprisingly, the last project was the kids’ favorite, too!
I love the last one best.....old piece of driftwood and metal rod from the pepper mill. You truly can make something out of nothing. Brilliant.
You had two good helpers there they pick out some good pieces,I love the wooden shoes the best.
I think so too! I can’t wait to see what they think of today’s video!
Hard to pick a favorite… because everything is an amazing work of art! You should ask what Don’t we like!!! Because we love everything that you create! Fabulous as always, you never disappoint 🥰
The clogs and the last project were my favorite. Everything is always cute.
Oh, thank you! 😊
The kids were so cute, and I love seeing them choose an item and you transforming it into something wonderful. It makes a little harder when somebody else chooses the item for you and I would absolutely love to see more of these, but whatever videos you make I always enjoy them. Thank you so much for making my Mondays something to look forward to. Happy Valentine’s Day.❤
Good evening, Bren! So glad you enjoyed today’s video. I had so much fun taking the kids to Goodwill. I can’t wait to hear what they think of the results. (They live out of state, so they have to watch the video to find out.) Happy Valentine’s Day to you, too!
I love the peppermill rabbit. But Sadie’s log basket was beautiful when you were finished with it.
Thank you, Debra! 😊
I love how the pepper mill turned out! ❤ The dutch shoes are adorable also. Your niece and nephew did well!
1 wooden shoes
2 bird house
3 peper mill
Really cute to let the children pick items. More like this please.
That birdhouse transformation was unreal!!! How does your brain come up with this stuff!? Amazing! ❤
I learned that you can shove moss into pretty much anything and, “POOF”, it looks AMAZING!
Oh my word what you did with allthose pieces was Absolutely Amazing. I loved them all. But my Favorites were the birdhouse and the wooden basket. Your neice and nephew we so cute picking out that special piece for their aunt. I wood love to see more videos like this. If only their were more aunts like you their wouldn't be so many children in trouble. Congratulations on a job well done. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friend. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Joan! My brother and sister in law have done a great job raising two well-behaved, kind, and clever young people. And, I adore them!
Your Niece and Nephew are so cute. The two of them selected fun items. As always you made works of art. Fun to watch video.😊
So creative. I would have liked to see your grandchildrens reactions to your projects 😊 The Peppermill and the driftwood projects were my favorites 😍
The birdhouse, and rustic basket are just wonderful. The kids did an awesome job picking out items for you too!
My favorite is that your niece and nephew will grow up with wonderful memories of going to Goodwill with you and then seeing what one can create when using your imagination! What a special gift for all of you! ❤😊
Back in the 70’s, my mom had ordered some wooden clogs to wear in her garden. I thought she was pulling my leg! 🤣
I can’t imagine that they would be comfortable, but these were probably a woman’s size 10.
Lol.No leg pulling, they make great garden shoes.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Now these are the kind of videos I like the best. I loved the clogs and the clock. Keep them coming, like this please! ! Great kids too!!! Oh!! Love the last 1 too!!!
Everything looks amazing. The pepper mil rabbit came out perfect, it’s my favorite today. I love that you let the kids pick stuff, because I think you could transform anything.
Thanks so much! Jasper is going to be excited that his pepper mill seems to be the favorite!
The driftwood turned out so sweet. The "ugliest" birdhouse is adorable.
I love the pepper mill rabbit and the wooden clogs!!
That Peppermill bunny is too cute! However, they are all unbelievably creative.
It always is a mystery how you can take such an unusual object and make it beautiful. I loved the ugly birdhouse you made into such a beautiful new & different .💕
The peppermill bunny turned out adorable
For me...hands down that cactus birdhouse was my favorite. I would have loved seeing the look on the kids faces when they seen what you transformed their finds into = priceless.
What a great bunch of projects!
That peppermill bunny looks so perfectly primitive.
What a rescue on that birdhouse!
Love them all the kids did great picking out items
Thank you 🤗
Wow, fabulous! Yes, I love when you take random stuff and make it over. I really loved the birdhouse redo and the last one that you made out of leftovers!
I had to watch this video again. Jasper and Sadie are precious, and I'm amazed at what you can do with leftovers!
You didn't ruin the rabbit. He is adorable! I would love to see more videos like this one. Thank you.
Sherry! Sherry! Sherry, YOU JUST AMAZE ME! You are so Blessed with such a CREATIVE MIND!!! I enjoyed your niece and nephew shopping for you!!!❤❤
I loved everything but the bird house is my favorite 😍
That pepper mill bunny is so cute! Definitely my favorite. It's all about the bunnies!❤
Thank you, Cheryl! Bunnies are so cute!!!
Wow, all your makeovers look wonderful!! Your grandchildren are adorable, hope they inherit some of Grandmother's amazing creativity. They will be so blessed!! Thank you for sharing!🤩🤩🤩🤩
😊 Those projects are soooo nicely done. Your niece & nephew were too cute helping you out at the thrift store.
Hey lady! I must say what you can do with what most people would trash is amazing! I loved them all!
Oh, thank you, Janie!
you knocked it out of the park with the bunny, HOWEVER they were all surprises! i really enjoyed this one (as well as all of your other videos!)
I love your natural conversational voice! Use it more often!😀
I’m trying to be more conversational. It’s harder than it looks when you are in a room by yourself talking to a camera.😜
You really can make something lovely out of something pretty ugly. I love how the cactus birdhouse was transformed. The moss was a great touch. Thanks for sharing.
The pepper mill rabbit!!!…..this is exactly the kind of decor that you think of that makes me astounded at your creativity 👏👏👏👏👏 Bravo
Sherry, you are so good at making something out of what the rest of us would think of as nothing! My favorite was the very last item you made out of the leftovers! You are amazing!
Oh Sherry, I am almost speechless but will find some words to tell you how amazing you are. These are the Sherry videos that I live for! The creativity you possess is just amazing and you do it with such a joyous aura. It's a hard choice today to pick a favorite. I truly liked them all but the pepper mill bunny is my favorite and I liked how it turned out even better. A second close were the shoes. Keep it up. Those are some precious kiddos you have helping you.
These are the kinds of projects I love so much. The rabbit is my fav.
The room makeovers, not so much.
It seems that a lot of the videos lately from others has been more about selling their new products, rather than makeovers.
For most people keeping up with all the new paints, stamps etc are just not in people’s budgets. That’s why I love you. You are more crafts than selling the new shiny & brightest stuff on the market.
Remember a few years ago when collectors items were so popular. The market got so flooded, no one could keep up, and it went bust.
So keep up what you are doing please.
I love all the projects…your niece and nephew have a great eye for potential 🙂
Thank you so much!
Love this kind of video. Kids did a great job picking the items out
My favorite was the cactus bird house !!! So cute. But was blown away when you salvaged the piece of driftwood. Clever girl !!
Would love to see more
Karen from Florida 🌴💕
I love how the rabbit turned out.
Everything is cute, but those "Spring" clogs on your blue front door are perfect!
You wanted to know favorite…
The pepper-mill bunny!!!! And the wooden Christmas trees transformed into carrots!!
You are a Genius!!❤
Sherry, I am totally amazed at every one of your projects today. I’ve always enjoyed every one of your videos (that I’ve been able to watch), but with this one you hit it out of the ballpark! I can’t remember ever ooing and awing so much over a creative video. I think the one that really takes the cake today is the pepper mill bunny! You did NOT ruin it! To me bunny looks like a well-loved antique toy! Your niece and nephew made some excellent choices. Your creativity astonishes me! Keep up the great work! God bless your family.
I ❤ it when you do this with the kids. And yet again, your vision amazes me 😊 I can’t pick a favorite
Sherry, I honestly can't believe that birdhouse! I took one look at that cactus and was really floored when you were right on board with it. The transformation is amazing! I apologize but I'm on team brown bunny. He is increadably cute though. Your clock was a fabulous flip as well.❤
The pepper mill rabbit turned out great, but I also liked it before as well. Your little carrots are the cutest. Your projects turned out wonderful as always. Your niece, and nephew did a splendid job picking out the items for this challenge.
*My absolute favorite is the pair of wooden shoes. Talk about the perfect herald to Spring...dance your way into it with bunnies and flowers❣️🐇🌺💐🐰🌿*
You saved the rabbit with the milk paint, the brown wasn't working. Liked the shoes too. Very creative.
Your peppermill rabbit looks fantastic. It was indeed a happy accident! And you sure completely transformed that cactus birdhouse. It's not ugly anymore. And you really do make use of every little leftover. Everything was so cute for spring! Your niece and nephew are delightful. You had some good helpers!
Oh, thank you! My brother lives in Wisconsin (and I’m in Illinois), and I sure miss seeing them. I can’t wait to see what they think of today’s video.
O my goodness! The way you said you wanted to throw that rabbit REALLY HARD into the garbage made me laugh so hard!! BUT, I think it turned out super cute AND kudos to your creativity!! I would never, ever have 'seen' a rabbit in a pepper mill.
The cactus bird house turned out so pretty.
You are the best, most creative, ingenious crafter I have ever seen. You take the oddest, ugliest things and turn them into beautiful treasures. I wish I had your vision. I adored the bunny. It was definitely a win. Love, love, LOVE your videos.
It was all just precious! Those clogs as door hangers were just too cute!! You even find a purpose for the left over bits. Without a doubt, you are just the most creative person on TH-cam!
Thanks so much! 😊 You are so kind, Sheila!
Mrs. B here and the cactus birdhouse transformation is adorable! Love all you do and look forward to seeing your posts each week!
I loved everything but that birdhouse….perfection!
I loved them all but especially the last one with the driftwood and leftovers... turning out charming and so clever!!
I loved all the makes. congratulations to your nephew and niece for the picks……
Oh and to you for your vision and hard work😊
Thank you so much! I am eager to hear what they think. (They live out of state, so they haven’t seen the finished projects yet.)
I loved how you made the "ugly" birdhouse pretty!
I especially loved the clogs! When visiting in Amsterdam in 2006, I watched a builder working on scaffolding wearing clogs, I was certainly surprised to see them as workers footware.
You are a crafting genius. You have a gift of being able to see the potential in every project. I’m so glad I found your channel. It’s like watching the old HGTV shows I used to love. Happy crafting! ❤️🥰❤️
The pepper mill is AMAZING!!!!! Love the way it turned out
Wooden shoes are still worn by Dutch people in Holland and abroad. They are like the Dutch version of Crocks. Those shoes look like they would look purchased new. Perhaps a purchase from a trip of gift from a family member
We do also use them as decor pieces. We paint them and even use them as planters. Real hand crafted ones are pretty cool as likely not a lot of true shoe carvers left. I love how you hung them on your front door! ❤
I love the way the rabbit turned out from the pepper mill 🌷
Thank you! 😊
Hello, Sherry. I really liked how you invited your family into participating in your projects. The element of "surprise" from your nephew's and niece's choice selection make it all the more fun to watch you stretch your wonderful, creative talent. I really like the end results of all the crafted pieces in this video. I am so impressed that you didn't give up on the pepper mill rabbit! The only suggestion I have is to enhance the eyes, nose and mouth a little more, maybe with a dark brown color for better definition without the starkness of black. Just a thought...
Loved this video. What a great idea to include your niece and nephew. I absolutely adored the pepper mill bunny
Moss covers a multitude of boo-boos!😊
Love your creativeness!
Always comes out beautiful.
Thank you.
Hi Sherry, can't pick a favorite they all turned out so beautiful. The kids must be excited to see the transformation. ❤
Loved the clock but the pepper mill was probably the most creative. I would have never thought of it 😊
Thank you! 😊
The clogs were my favorite❤
Sherry, Thank you for sharing your fantastic creations with us all. For the past 4 years since your first video I have looked forward to your brilliant creations. You have inspired me to open my creative side to give my obsession of thrifting a new life. I Love a created home. It shows the personality of a person. Also it keeps every one that comes here on their toes to see what's new. It's been said many times I have the most fun house. Thanks again! God Bless!!
You are so welcome! I bet you do have an interesting and fun house, and I bet people love spending time in your home!
Amazing makeovers, your talent is truly a gift. Loved EVERYTHING that you made over for the kids. Thank you for sharing.❤
This is a fun format, having kids pick out things for you to upcycle Sherry. I hope you do more in the future. Only you would think of putting a bunny in a wooden shoe and then have it turn out so charming. I think my favorite was the bunny made from the pepper mill. I did like it better the way you had it originally painted brown, but it still looked terrific the rustic way.
Love them all but the last piece with the Driftwood was so creative and I have some Driftwood and you just gave me a great idea
Thanks, Sherry! The Peppermill rabbit is my favorite!! Love the bird house, too. What the heck? I loved all of them 😂
