OK So unlike the last guy who took one of my tracks and changed the name of it and also said it ,was him ! at least this guy has had the decency to give the credits properly, so continue with my blessing, Where does the Vapourwave name come from ? I may just have to do one one just for fun
Just want to preface this by saying that my friend Shaun and I are MASSIVE fans of your music. Anyway Vaporwave started as a 'meme' and the origins of its name were meant to come off as a cheap yet aesthetically pleasing spin on Chillwave, a similar subgenre of music. Well people started enjoying it unironically, and outside of jokes you'd see legitimate remixes, some of which surpassed the fame of their original samples. Vaporwave is made mostly by slowing down and splicing samples to evoke feelings of nostalgia for things or a time that the listener may not have even experienced. Many of your tracks(including the one used for this remix) accomplish this sensation entirely on their own, so I think you stand to whip up something amazing even if you just did it for fun. I hope to look forward to it!
Hi Paul, it is great to see your comment here, very big fan of your music. Somedays I have your playlists on for 8+ hours. Vaporwave is to me pretty difficult to put into words. Like others have said, I think the soul of it is completely based on nostalgia, it's like you have heard the track before, yet you haven't lol. This feeling is kind of heightened by vaporwave artists as they typically don't credit the source track sample, and act like it's one of their own. A very basic vaporwave track is just the original track sample, slowed down, lots of reverb, maybe some extra bass on the EQ. Though some get pretty heavy into it, cut and slice the track up and effects to it to make it purposely sound like its from a cassette. The fad for vaporwave I believe ended some years ago, as artists I think were starting to face legal action in some cases.
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG. This song was in a video with other 2 songs with a static tv in the video, could never find that video again and though this song would be lost forever, thank you frfr
So the original you probaly heard was in that video. It's called Destine by Vector Graphics. So this track is mine, it uses the same source sample as Destine, but I edited the track all on my own with the purpose to sound like Destine but more clear.
Legennnnd Paul Hardcastle 😎👌👍
I just found this, it's a smooth, silky song that brings a smile to my lips. Beautiful pictures too. Thank you ❤️
Just found this and smooth jazz doesn't get any better then this .

Muito bom
Too slow, sounds weird.
Exactly, it's supposed to be from a time period in the 80's that never existed.
Too vaporwave, sounds awesome.
Amazing 🎇✨
