    All went exactly as described, until I went to install the new headlight. The insert tabs were off by a 16th of an inch. No matter how I tried, I could not get them to go in. Fought with it for an hour and a half. Gave up and reinstalled the factory headlight. No complaint on the video though, the visuals & description were easy to follow! Thank you & Merry Christmas!

    Phil. I ordered LED headlights for my 2016 Jeep Rubicon. I was going to have them installed professionally, but after watching your video, a buddy and I decided to do exactly what you were doing and it was so easy. It took less than 30 min to install the lights and put the jeep back together. Thank you for saving me money....

    For anyone who is interested in why there is a capacitor involved when switching to LED headlights it is because the power supply (alternator/regulator) while the engine is running creates a ripple effect as the engine runs at different rpms during driving. The capacitor smooths out the DC voltage so the headlights won't flicker.
    For LED brake lights a resister is added to the circuit to make sure the turn signals blink at the same rate as before the change was made.

      I was linked to this video for a set of spider eyes, anyways the lights came with a little red wire coming out, inches from the headlight, spiced it hooked up to the middle white wire, that ..go to you front amber signals. So my halos are daytime running lights , I've splice the other white wire to the side markers, allowing them to blink as well

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where exactly did you get your headlamps from? The product shown in the video was just a prototype, and we are still working on getting these in our inventory. In short, we do not carry these just yet. However, what you are explaining sounds to be either some type of wiring issue, or possibly just a defective high beam function on one of the headlamps.

    • @themod0518
      @themod0518 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bought them from XpriteUSA. I thought it might be a defective light. So I sent it back and they sent me a new one. Same issue. For some reason the Passenger Side High Beam refuses to light up. I read some forums and several people have complained about this issue. The only fix I've seen is that someone just used a Convertor on the Drivers Side and not the passenger side. However, because of the cables and connectors they sent me, I don't have that option. So I was hoping someone else would have found a fix for it.

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the reply. I do apologize, but we never experienced this issue with our prototype, and because we have not imported this product in our inventory just yet, we do not have much information on them either. However, we will do some research and let you know if we find some type of remedy for this problem. We will keep you posted with any updates.

      We have listed the DRLs project from the same light as the high/low beam. So this video is indeed explaining the conversion of the high/low and DRLs. I do apologize if we did not specify that in the video.
