@@belroi-57 Not superpower- it’s because I can speak fluent Cantonese - I spoke English first but wrote Chinese first / all I had to do was to learn simplified characters and learn the pronunciation for Mandarin!
It’s possible, however HSK 6 is questionable, maybe she is some sort of a genius, but I lived in China for 6 years, and haven't met a single foreigner ( among those who were studying Chinese ) who would speak on a semi-decent level. maybe taking a test is different than speaking. But those who do speak, practice it for at least 3-4 years. Look up 马斯瑞, 乐乐farley, they allhave been studying for 8-10 years.
wow ,thats impressive , its amazing what one can do with goals and solid work... congratulations . you have inspired me to give the HSK exam in May which is 4 months from now :)
Amazed you were able to learn so fast. My problem with hsk6 is speed on reading section. There's just no way I can read so fast, and they usually throw in some complicated names of people and places. Also I have no idea what I'm doing with 病句, so I pretty much just skip that section 😅
I only got Hsk-3 in October 2019, after 2 years of study. I started to learn Chinese. I'm stuck in that level, cannot move into higher level.... I want to take Hsk-4, but the CI in Jakarta closed down due to the pandemi. Now I just listen to Chinese-speaking channels....
Oh, those are the worst. I tried to classify the mistakes into groups as I was doing the preparation tests, it kinda helps see the patterns. But of course, improving knowledge of grammar is crucial, you need to know the correct structures anyways
Hi to outmaze Chinese. Do you think it is possible to work as translator (mandarin to target language) after having hsk 6? I mean is the mandarin skill sufficient to work efficiently as translator?
Well, HSK is very general, you will still need a lot of vocabulary from the field in which you want to grow as a translator, but the language skills should be enough to understand the written text with a dictionary. Maybe will be a bit time-consuming at first, but as you acquire specific vocabulary, should be ok. I doubt it will work with oral interpretation though.
@@OutmazeChinese thanks for the answer. I really appreciate that you answer your viewers :). Oh well, I have a certain plan. I work as a nuclear physicist in a consultancy and I often had to do business trips to china for consultation; that’s why I started to learn mandarin. As a side job, I work as a English to german translator. I try to do this during my normal working hours to get paid twice ;). Well I was thinking if I could do also mandarin to german technical translations, then I could have a better rate ($ per word). Besides that, I also have great interest in learning mandarin, it is not because of the money.
@@a.g.4843 Good luck with your plan! Translators who understand the technical details of the field they work in are precious, so I am sure you will be in demand
I am sure the recommendations given in the video also work for HSK4. There is also a video on the channel specifically for the listening part, you can find some recommendations there too! Good luck with your test
actually i think this is farfetched i passed level 5 and it takes more than a year to pass level 6 its no cake walk even if you learn chinese everyday.
I did HSK 1-4 in 8 months. I haven’t had any classes! Writing was my highest
太棒了

As a Russian and Mandarin major, this helped a lot! Thank you!
Great to hear! And btw, majoring in Russian and Mandarin - wow:)

omg it took me 3 years to pass the hsk 6, very impressive. (I was 13 tho)
Three years for a teenager is a great achievement! After all, it all depends on how much time we devote to study daily:)

I took hsk 5 last year and was one point from passing. I passed the writing and listening but not the reading portion. I am not a fast reader.
