Kombai Dog (Original Native Breed of Tamil Nadu)
Origin:- The Kombai dog / கோம்பை நாய் breed originated in the Theni district of Tamil Nadu and is named with the town of Kombai. The Kombai dog is the Native breed of Tamil Nadu which was earlier kept by zamindars and peoples for hunting. It subsequently spread throughout Southern part of India.
தோற்றம்:-
கோம்பை நாய் தேனி மாவட்டத்தில் உருவான இந்த இனம் கோம்பை நகரின் பெயரால் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது . இது பின்னர் தென்னிந்தியா முழுவதும் பரவியது. கோம்பை பாரம்பரியமாக ஜமீன்தார்கள் வைத்துஇருந்தார்கள், மற்றவர்கள் வேட்டைக்காக வளர்க்கப்பட்டனர் .
Specification:- The Kombai dog / கோம்பை நாய் is a breed of working dog,kept for guarding and protection. The Kombai is broad, short, muscular & powerful dog. They have a short, smooth coat usually seen in light brown to dark red in colour, slightly haired tail with black colour, carried over black muzzle and dark eyes.
விவரக்குறிப்பு:-
கோம்பை நாய் என்பது தென்னிந்தியாவில் உள்ள தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த வேலை செய்யும் நாயின் இனமாகும் . அவை சிறந்தகாவல் நாய்களை உருவாக்குவதில் நற்பெயரைக் கொண்டுள்ளன. கோம்பை ஒரு பரந்த, குறுகிய, தசை, சக்தி வாய்ந்த அவை பொதுவாக வெளிர் பழுப்பு முதல் அடர் சிவப்பு நிறத்தில் இருக்கும் ஒரு குறுகிய, மென்மையான கோட் மற்றும் கருப்பு முகவாய் ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டுள்ளன. அவர்கள் இருண்ட கண்கள், வளைந்த நுனிகளுடன் நடுத்தர நீளமுள்ள காதுகள் மற்றும் மெல்லிய முகவாய் ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டுள்ளனர். இந்த இனமானது ஒரு அகன்ற, சற்றே முடிகள் கொண்ட வால் உடையது.
Characteristics:- The Kombai dog / கோம்பை நாய் is highly intelligent, extremely loyal and affectionate to the owner.They are good to children also. They are ferocious to strangers & unfamiliar dogs.
