Well because they're both technically good it's just the improved version is objectively better. Making it a point to say that you like both versions doesnt really do anything.
This is the first time I’ve actually liked the before. He tends to make it more realistic but the before is a bit more 2D and warm. It’s more of a romantic style
personally think that it did need that more contrast even tho the style was good, he still managed to keep the warm feel of the original which is good but it did need that contrast in the face as the hair had darker shadows n it felt unbalanced…like the ear almost blended in the hair
He's the only creator I've seen that's actually given people ligit tips on how to improve with constructive criticism, rather than others who just remake people's art in their own style and sometimes make it look worse.
I honestly find the original better. It has its own vibe with little mistakes and looks softer. The little changes made it more professional but more basic and classic
I don't know if I like the original more, but this is the strongest original in comparison to his edited version that I've seen so far. Each good in their own way.
It can be a style ig but the proportions were really off limiting its potential. Also we need to be more aware of when to use softer and harder edges so it will work better.
Looks like a mystical filter, I felt more emotion with the first I guess. The second is good also, but it looks a bit more mainstream. Doesn't stand out.q
This is the first time where I kinda like the original more tbf. I think the over all warm tones that make it a bit flat actually work kinda nice for the piece and could be stylised more to be more dreamy
i love that he just takes what the most glaring issue is in a piece. for this it was "muddy" and just needed more contrast and minor anatomy fixes so thats all he did! he didnt completely change it, he kept the style and gave the person actual tips that they would be able to use in their artwork later on. THIS is how you teach
But it doesnt look like the character she wanted to draw, though i think he idnt make the drawing much prettier, but more to actualy look lika the character so i agree.
I prefer the before image. Aside from assisting with the perspective of the nose anatomy, the rest felt stylistic and not necessary. I liked the original softer color palate more.
I actually really like your video. Saw a first one just a couple of days ago, and I've already used some of your tips. I honestly find most people who do "art fixing" insufferable because they hardly ever give good advice and actually keep the integrity of the original artist's style. Thank you
i love that you actually fix it with constructive criticism and clear tips to improve people's skill set. thank you for helping so much the art community with honesty and empathy ❤
I love that you explain your changes, don’t completely change the persons art style, and I’ve never seen you white wash or make a character skinnier, I really like what your doing here, keep at it!
I don't normally like 'fixing' art videos... But this is actually helping/fixing, rather than "Fixing" aka making them worse. Which is why this is a good teaching/guide video/tutorial for art.
Hi! Anatomically the traps actually connect back to the base of the head. The slop was correct give or take a lil bit depending on the muscle tone of the character/person so if your going to adjust the trap connection you’d need to lower the whole shoulder segment not just that one part. That is all! Other than that great work.
I fricking love your shorts so much and it helps me improve my art. I love how you don't change the people's art style but giving advice to make the piece look more amazing widst not changing the art or even the character.
I like how u dont completely change the whole piece- its more of nice constructive criticism. And in the end the piece still look the same with ever so slight changes that keep the piece original to its owner. 💜💜💜
Been a while since ive been on Angel's channel, but his advice is actually what helped me make some of my best works Learning to break down the face into simple planes really helped get my shading down
I love these videos because it shows how our drawings are often quite close to being better. Gives me more confidence and I know what to pay attention to and sometimes I can even improve my own drawings like his :)
I think you did improve it! Your criticism is actually criticism, its not insulting the art/artist, you're giving actual help and advice! Because I've seen other fixing art vids where the whole time they just insult the piece 😭 but thank you, you're very helpful!

Instead of imposing his own artstyle and ideas hes improving fundamentals in color theory and proportions and contrast allowing the orihinal peice to still shine with clear improvement great work
u improved it and i think u improved at showing others how to improve!! i was watching these from abt a month ago and ur edits/explanations got so much better
I like the homogeneity of the original tbh. Sometimes less contrast works as an stylistic approach. In real-life we also see many people with very less visual contrast and those people are described as having lower visual weight. Orange being such an gorgeous colour, imo works even when used all over the place.
I've been watching some of his videos, and his criticism and advice goes to use really well. Lighting, angles, etc. I think it'll help me a lot with my art.
okay, but they wanted help. it looks fine to YOU but the ARTIST wanted help. you aren't the artist, so what may look fine to you, isn't fine to them. :)
