I appreciate the video. I watched Emergency when it first ran in the 70's. Was always one of my favorite shows. It is cool that people are still interested in the show today and even more cool that a lot of the stuff used in the show is still available to be seen. Not many shows made today will have touchable evidence of their existance 50 years from now...

Few years ago I worked across the street from the station at the oil refinery there. I used to pass the station daily. As a HUGE fan of the show as a kid I told everyone I could about seeing the station in person.

It's really cool to see it's still there and not changed much since the show aired. We used to watch it every Saturday night.

Wow, that brings back a lot of memories as my dad worked at that station when I was growing up in the 70s.

Love the historical marker/plaque on the front in remembrance of Robert A. Cinader, EP of Emergency!; he was big in why this station 127 (which was 51 on Emergency!) is remembered as it is today.

Station is looking good for just a couple months after the Northridge Earthquake. I was a little teenager in 1994 and living in Norwalk at the time, just 14 miles from station 127. I wish I knew about it's location at the time, I no doubt would have checked it out. I was a fan of the fire department when I grew up, I always checked out Norwalk 20, Norwalk 115, Bellflower 98, Whittier 96, La Mirada 49, along with Downey and Santa Fe Springs. Heck in 1994 I was watching Emergency, Dragnet, Adam-12, Chips and Hunter. BTW THANKS for tossing this video on youtube :)

I lived about a mile and a half north of the station, on the same street (223rd Street) at the time it was filmed.
A mile south of the fire station on 223rd Street was the famous Lions Dragstrip, which was operating at the time of filming too. It's where they filmed the Munster's drag racing episode in the 60's. The dragstrip closed by the city in 1972. They claimed it was because of the noise.
But they actually wanted the land to use as ship container storage for the port of Los Angeles.

That Orange Pickup Truck parked out back was also there when the show was filming in the 1970s! There are some shots of it in some episodes. Must be one of the Firefighters who works there.

Not sure what the unit was next to the a tower but now they run a trailer truck and a foam unit out of the station as of 2018 or 2019 when I was there.

looks like they still had the breathing aparatus in the sleeping dorm in case of chem incidents smaller ones for when there was an issue at the chem plant station 10 also had them as a means of escape to the vehicles during a chorine leak...the platform at 127s was likly the last platform in LA county as they went to tractor ladders and then tractor quints and straight Quints

I can see where the county had to raise the roof over the apparatus floor in order to accommodate the larger apparatus that is used now.

Quisiera saber por qué no añadir un huerto casero a esta icónica estación bomberil, así sus tripulantes ahorrarán mucho dinero en compras de súpermercado en vegetales y frutas.
