How to work with my video lessons? At first watch it and repeat all Russian sentences out loud and record yourself to check your pronunciation. After watching put down all sentences you can remember. Watch the video again in 5-6 hours and correct the mistakes in your sentences if you have any. Do the homework that I usually give at the end of each lesson. Watch the video again in 2 days and make your own examples with the patterns used.

"Какова" is a short form of the adjective "какая". We can say: Какая цель? But in formal speech short adjectives are commonly used. Thus, the officers normally ask: "Какова цель?"
The difference between "ничего" и "нЕчего" is that we use нЕчего with Dative case and when it's followed by infinitive. It also gives more emphasis to the phrase. For example: Мне нЕчего тебе сказать. - I have nothing to tell you. Мне нЕчего делать. - I have nothing to do.
