Yes, indeed, gratitude for what we have..and don't have. Love your stove surround! So happy your dental issues are dealt with. Take good care, Collette... blessings
Dear Colette, I came across your channel a few weeeks ago and am enjoying it so much. You are an inspiration to me as a 52 (53 next week) year old, single woman. I am in my 3rd summer of my own home on a small lot in the city. When I bought it, my vision was/is to create my own little cottage haven, inside and out. It's a fixer-upper that needed to be loved again. I wish I was further along but I'm loving the process of being creative while bringing it new life. The space I have keeps me more than busy. I don't know how you do it on 3 acres. Like I said, you lift my heart and remind me I'm strong and capable. Blessings to you and to a quick, uncomplicated healing! ~Kim, from Michigan
I am 67 and on my own single and find these videos inspirational...I now live in Scotland since 2018....my home town Birmingham England...grew up there in Seventies...my family past ...Our neighbours in my growing up years from 8 years old in Birmingham ...our neighbours were Irish....could not have wished for a better childhood in Birmingham England in the Seventies... Magical...miss such times❤❤
Collette I feel sorry for people now a days looking at their phones all the time missing out on nature etc your kitchen looks great god bless from Gary on the sunny Isle of wight
Nice seeing you work your magic with the tiles again. It's like welcoming the new stove to the cottage. It looks as if it has always belonged there. Your kitchen project is so homey and comfortable. Sorry about the trip to the dentist. I feel the same about that sort of thing. I know better, but I just can't help it. Looks like you have good meds. Wishing you a speedy recovery. 🙋♀️
Collett, you did such a beautiful job on the tiles. You new stove center stage wonderful. I really appreciate you sharing your beautiful cottage inside and out.
Good morning Colette from Tucson, Arizona (Sonoran Desert). I enjoyed your visit today. I’ve been following you for years and have gained much from your insights and knowledge about nature and how to live within our means. Your tile work is beautiful, love the colors and textures. Sending positive healing energy and hugs.🌵🥰🥦🍉🍋🍎🐾
Well the new stove and tiles are a triumph. Your cottage seems such a homely place. All your doing of course. You've done a smashing job with the kitchen. When I saw you up on the counters painting .... there's a one who hates being told no
Hi from Virginia, USA! WOW! The tiles look absolutely fabulous! They blend in perfectly...and are a continuation of the artistry and magic of your cottage! Hope you heal from the dentist and take time to rest today.
You know Colette, I don't have a TV or even electricity, just this old mobile phone with a limited access to internet, still what's happening in Ga za makes me cry every day, I just can't help it. What unfair world we are living in! Bless you for being a real human with a tender and true heart.❤❤
Grateful to have found your channel. I am very inspired by you and all that you do! The kitchen tiles look amazing and artistic and fit very well with the other colors and the floor! Lots of love and hugs from Canada. Dental work is also my least fav. Get well soon ❤
Hi Collette, I have been following your kitchen journey with great interest, congrats on the end result, it's gorgeous! Like you, I live alone with lots of exciting challenges in house and garden, hard work, but so rewarding when it all comes together! Blessed Be.🍀
Collette, I am beyond impressed how you sorted out the tile situation. It’s like a beautiful quilt. What a resourceful woman you are. I hope your mouth heals quickly as I know how you feel about now. But you are right, the worst is over. Your place will be a haven for years to come, and it makes my heart happy knowing it’s there, so I can’t imagine how it makes you, its creator, feel. Rock on you fabulous woman. Hugs from America. Judy
Aww Colette you're such a breath of fresh air in a terrible world. Your tiles look amazing well done. So glad you have got your teeth done I am afraid I might need to do the same soon. Blessings to you and little Patsy xxx
The tiles look wonderful. I just love how it has turned out. Great job, Colette! The garden and the light are so beautiful and peaceful. You live in a magical place. Thank you for sharing your world with us. Take it easy today. Let your mouth heal. Blessings to you. Take care. ❤
You managed to make a lovely pattern on a minimal budget. Kudos. You are very observant about your surroundings. That allows you to appreciate all of the many beautiful gifts bestowed on all of us. I sure hope that you don't wind up like me with dentures. They are no real substitute for your own teeth. I did take care of my teeth, but they insisted on going bad. Blessings to you too.
Good morning. It is a crisp 50-degree f/10-degree c this morning. I think your kitchen is cozy and inviting. You have done an amazing job. I have managed to accomplish a few tasks this week. I also had a few errands that interfered with finishing everything. I hope to complete most of the outdoor clean-up by the end of next week. I need to give myself "grace" in working in the garden. 😊 I enjoy doing tasks alone. However, I am realistic in my abilities and time. Have an absolutely beautiful week/weekend ahead. Blessings
Collette. I must say the tile looks amazing - great job - I know the feeling of wanting to have it done for you, yet once it's finished I feel happy and proud of myself for a job well done 👏as you should too - as old as we are we are blessed, even though hard at times, that we can stll accomplish our projects! ❤ 🎉 from Andrea USA 😊
Oh, my goodness ups and down for sure! Good to have your teeth sorted out. I bet that dental issue was dragging you down a bit without your even really realizing it. You will probably be back up to top energy level once your mouth heals. I love the tile surround that you have come up with over the stove. The colors fit in so well with the stove color. Take care now and give yourself a good rest--------you've been very busy lately and need some relaxing time to counteract that.
So sorry to hear you had dental issues. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Colette, you did a lovely job with the tiles. You are so creative. Always do what pleases you in your own home. Enjoy the changing of the season. Nature is so very amazing and healing. Take care and be well. 💖
I wish you could have hired someone to do the tile work, but life happens. You do have an artistic flair. Thank goodness you know how to do it and are so very creative. Terriers must always be on a leash. I easily find things to be grateful for. I'm very fortunate in my life. Don't get me wrong, I've had tragedy and hard times, but at 65, I'm very comfortable and blessed with loving family and friends. Our natural world is a constant source of pleasure. Blessed be.
Dear Collette, I used comfrey leaf mashed with honey and vitamin E as a poultice on my gums when I had teeth extracted long ago. They healed super fast and well. When I went back to have stitches out my dentist asked… “you have 3 weeks of healing done in one week…what have you been doing?” I confessed and he told me to keep doing what I was doing because it was working! Beautiful job on your stove surround! Yes, it IS artistic!!! ❤
@@greenspiritarts That's wonderful- is the honey Manuka, or maybe local to your area? Organic? Is Comfrey have another name, can I use a Comfrey tea bag?
@@Good-DaySunshine It was regular, local honey from a local beekeeper and the area did not have pesticide crops, so whilst not labeled “organic”, it was good quality. FRESH comfrey leaves are best. The juices of the fresh plant contain a lot of healing properties. I just mashed the leaves with honey in a mortar and pestle to make the poultice with the Vit E added at the end. Manuka honey would be amazing, but I did not know about it back in the day. Dollops of the mashed leaves, honey and Vit E were rolled into gauze wrappers and then placed over the extraction points in the gums. Held in place 15-20 minutes. Discarded. No rinsing right away. Repeated 3x per day.
Your tile is beautiful! I think what you came up with is better than if you had gotten all of the same tiles. Love that blue. Love your yellow walls, too. Love that you are sharing your pictures and thoughts at the end of your videos. Thank you for continuing to share your journey with us. I have committed myself to living a creative life, after too many years of being stifled. You are one of my inspirations. ❤❤
Collette, my apologies but I must point out a serious problem you have created for yourself. Now, when sitting at your kitchen table enjoying your cuppa, meal. etc., do you gaze out your window at the beautiful garden or at your beautiful stove and tile art. ha! 😉 Enjoy both♥️♥️!
Once again, you've made something functional into a lovely art project. It's such a happy thing to have something your eye can dance over. After all, Mother's Earth is showing you that it's better to live with raucous beauty! Why should we have dreary homes?❤❤❤ And thank you, by the way to you and your sweet post office, my books arrived in Virginia Beach just 6 days after mailing! I will start on the Goddess Rising one with my coffee this morning!
Your kitchen is looking mighty beautiful and cozy. Stove is lovely. I turned 63 this year and feel I don’t need so much stuff. I love feeling cozy in my home. Of course Colette wish I had your land . Warm eater and salt for your mouth. ❤
Colette! Your kitchen looks lovely! Its so homely and rustic. I love your stove (I have stove envy actually😂) you’ve worked so hard, I hope you feel proud of yourself. Brillliantly done👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Blessings Colette hope you’re feeling better today. Love the kitchen you are an inspiration. You have no idea how you have helped me through these unbelievable hard years. Feels like a nightmare at times. God wins❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
Beautiful Colette. Just lovely. I am sorry for your pain and pray that you are much better very soon. Love the peacefulness of your home and gardens. You are a wonderful keeper.
Oh Colette, you sounded like you've been through it there! Your graceful attitude shines through though, here's wishing you a speedy recovery. The stove and the tiling looks fabulous, I love the creative solution you came up with it looks fantastic. 😊❤
A dogs life...Patsy just sunning her buns. Colette, your tile looks gorgeous!!! I hope your mouth heals quickly and you are feeling more pep in your step in no time. Hugs. 💚
Oh, Colette! I thought you were planning to have plain tiles like the ones you originally had, but I LOVE the way you did these! Fantastic, creative, artistic choice! Absolutely brilliant ❤
The stove wall Tiling is SMASHING, Colette! 🤩 VERY Artistic and the perfect carryover and compliment to the other tiling you’ve done throughout. So glad the extractions are behind you. Steeped Clove tea swished in your mouth will relieve the pain quite a bit. Good for your gut too. Be sure to restore your gut flora - post antibiotics - either by eating yogurt or taking a probiotic supplement. Gratitude is THE Winning Attitude 😊. -V

My dentist gets to see me several times a year as I get older and am a survivor of chemo! Yes, chemo helped but it kills amd disrupts things. But, anyway, where was I? Oh, yes. The recommended after treatment for dental surgery like extractions, etc. at home is a half teaspoon of salt to a cup of warm water. I stir it on the stove until most of the salt dissolves and let cool to just slightly warm. Swish a mouthful gently and without force around your mouth and repeat. It helps draw out any bacteria and soothes the affected area.

Oh, Colette! I thought you were planning to have plain tiles like the ones you originally had, but I LOVE the way you did these! Fantastic, creative, artistic choice! Absolutely brilliant ❤

PS You can also just pop a clove bud in your mouth and let it rest between your inner cheek and gums - one on each side, if necessary. 😋😋

I love the tiles the kitchen and oven look stunning xx
It has a north east west star feel and the south being the heat of the stove! Xx lovely😊

Gargle salt and hot water a few times a day speeds up the healing
the stove and wall behind it look so homey and unique. I really like what you did. Take it easy with yourself. I've started back with my turmeric orange juice shots every morning. I love the colors! A sunny kitchen is always preferred, I think! ❤🎉
Love the tiles, and your creative solution! Hope you’re feeling better soon!
