❤I saw jp 1 in theatres when i was 10. I loved 2 as well... But when this came out i must admit i was disappointed with it. And to this day im not exactly sure why. But i think it was a combination of me just not being a little kid any more and the movie itself just being more of a comedy. Also i just do t think the movie looks as good visually. Im not a film maker but the quality in the actual film is not as good. 😅

In the final raptor scene, when Grant first uses the 3d printed resonating chamber, the raptors act confused. When he "calls for help," one of the raptors moves to attack (which I think is hilarious - because it's intending to attack what it perceives as prey species in distress). The raptor matriarch stops the would-be attacker, the group of raptors stop and listen for a moment, then chatter and run off. They heard the helicopters approaching and booked it.
I've seen MANY of your reactions, and I honestly think that you will throughly enjoy Jurassic World. I also want to give Kudos to Puggy because she is really smart. She caught on to what was actually happening in several scenes. I'm looking forward to your reaction to the continuation of the franchise.
As a kid this was actually my fav JP movie, I would rewind the VHS and rewatch the spinosaurus running over the runaway hundreds of times! My mom went insane. I tried bringing it to school for movie day when I was 7 and the teacher was appalled lol
Same dude! JP3 is me and my mom's favorite JP movie too and it still is to this day. I had JP3 on DVD (I had the Jurassic Park Adventure Pack; back when Jurassic Park was a trilogy) and I would constantly watch it over and over again (I would even spend an hour and a half looking at the bonus features). I even reenacted the whole movie (From the moment they were flying to the island to the moment the credits roll) in my backyard. I managed to show the first movie to my second-grade class, and we had stop at the part where they were eating lunch because one of the students got too scared of the velociraptors.
Yes. Pudgey is right. Alan using the device to replicate the raptor's voice, made them leave because they felt threatened by what might be a call for help. The raptors are smart enough to know that it's not their sound, but could be the sound of this "strange species" they've cornered, calling for their own back-up. This, other than the first, is my favorite. I love Tea Leoni & William H Macy, so I enjoyed it even more. Tea's personality really shown through in this film. And...well...who can argue William's acting chops.

There’s not a single complete spinosaurus skeleton fossil. In fact, we aren’t even close to certain how it exactly looked and it’s constantly being disputed, the reason being that all the fossils are incomplete and its reconstruction is based on many, many different fossils from different specimens.
It’s the same island as Jurassic Park 2. So the island in Jurassic Park 2 + 3 are “Site B- Isla Sorna” which is the Hatchery for the main park/tourist attraction “Site A- Isla Nublar” featured only in Jurassic Park 1.
Please watch jurassic World. All of these movies have silly moments and moments that don't add up. Like the pterodactyl thing. But they are fun movies, and the newer ones have fun callbacks to the old movies. I think you guys would end up really liking them. That alone makes for a good reaction, in my opinion.

I agree about the originals, not so much the JW movies. We lost a *lot* of things when the released the first, and we lost even more with the following 2.

I think I'm one of the few people who never thought Alan and Ellie were together in the first place. In Jurassic Park, they came off as platonic friends to me. When Grant tells Ian that he and Ellie were a thing, it seemed more like he was lying to Ian to protect Ellie.
There was an old childrens book called jurassic park survivor and it follows eric kirby as he survived on the island. I remember loving it as a kid lol
it’s said that the spinosaurus was abused by humans before it escaped which is why it held a grudge against them after their plane crashed into it. i agree with you i wish they would have showed us more of it’s backstory to differentiate it more than the t-rexes we had already seen.

As for the first trilogy, I like all of them, they aren't supposed to be this super deep movies, it's dino horror and fun. People are too pressed. I liked the first jurassic world too, the second one was okay but slow and the 3rd was also slow and okayish 😂
23 years later, I just realized it was probably Ellie's husband that had the military connection to save them... he worked in international relations for the gov. I kinda love that!
Damn, the nostalgia really hit. When I was a kid I had the DVD and I used to watch this movie all the time. I didn't even understand a word 'cause it was in English and I didn’t speak English back then but it still loved it. And I know this movie might not be very good “cinematicly” speaking, but you gotta admit it's pretty damn entertaining, especially for a kid.
Watch ALL of the Jurrasic Park/World movies...none of them are "unwatchable", that is ridiculous. People just have different favorites, and thats ok. Same thing I said about all the Mike Flanagan series', watch them all in order, they are all incredible in their own way!

One thing about this movie is it did not come from a Michael Crichton book. The first 2 were written by him. I think that's why some people think the story strays from the original.
Soon as I heard your accents, I waited in anticipation. Soon you did the thing: "arr naughur!" I subbed and liked at that moment. My immaturity aside, you both were vary entertaining.
I personally am glad that Eric wasn't more childlike and scared, and was portrayed more mature and self-sufficient. If he acted the way you two seemed to expect, literally no one would have believed that he could survive essentially two months on his own. I can legit see this kid still being alive by comparison. For instance, if Eric was Alex and Timmy from the first movie, they'd have been 100% dead, especially Timmy.
I always like to see if people catch this watching the movie…when you see Billy drinking water from the stream, you very briefly see Mr Kirby walking away from the same stream only slightly more upstream…AND he’s adjusting himself from just taking a piss…in the same stream that Billy was drinking from. 😂.
Site B is where all the experiments happened. You can't do those on the main island. You could classify the Spino as more of a monster than a dinosaur, even if this was before more was known about the Spino.
Been waiting for this one! Let’s go! I grew up with the originals JP3 has gotten its respect after many years but still has undeniable issues. Its existence as a sequel isn’t justified to to the weak plot and its way too short. Buts it’s still fun and not terrible objectively! Plus gives us the spino and an amazing new raptor design! Love both. This film will always have a place in my heart. As for the series, I think JP1 and JW are easily the best 2 films in the franchise and from each of their trilogies.
My honest rating is 7.6 for this movie. My fav JP series as a kid back then (the 1st one is simply🐐). Special effects in this movie was done greatly. Oh that first roar from my big boi is still scary as fuck and don't worry about Copper. He's profesional and can handle himself😎
the call for help was meant to confuse the raptors that another raptor or group of raptors needed help elsewhere. and thats why they left to go investigate when they heard the noise. That was the point of grant doing the call becuz the raptors would know humans cant make that noise so it has to be a raptor in the area
This was the first JP movie I got to see in theaters I was like 7 years old. And I loved it even and I still enjoy it now. Never understood what people didn’t like about it.
8:50 This is such a typical Spartan take. Bigger/more powerful does not equal better. You literally come from the most dominant species to ever traverse the Earth and we are not even close to being physically designed as an apex predator. Our hominid ancestors started out as gatherers and scavengers. Humans have conquered pretty much every biome on Earth through intelligence, dexterity, resilience, communication, social intelligence and adaptability. That is what makes a species dominant. T-rex was most likely a solo hunter/scavenger (little social intelligence), has 2 limbs that are useless for most tasks (limited dexterity) and required a huge calorific intake just to sustain itself (not adaptable to disruptions in the food chain).
I know I shit talked the Lost World but it is so worth watching all 3, I loved this one because I am biased and was 8 when it came out and it gave me everything I wanted at the time (Pterodactyls and Spinosaurus) So glad you enjoyed it!!!
38:32 Indeed they could. In fact, Spinosaurus is thought to have been semi-aquatic. It would have spent much of its time in rivers or on the coast hunting fish.
A lot of people didn't like this one mostly just because of the T-Rex got defeated by the spinosaurus in the graphics on the spinosaurus were not as good as previous dinosaurs mostly because they had a budget problem and they had to rewrite some of the script last minute so that could also be why this one is a little shorter but I personally don't let that bother me I still enjoy every Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movie.
you know why? because the director of this movie hated the t rex and wanted a new dino to get in the spotlight. He purposly killed off the T-rex wich was utter stupidity as the T rex had the biggest bite force and strength and would have finished off the spino when the rex had the neck of the spino in it's jaw. It was also a juvenile T-rex. Further studies concluded that a real life spino wasn't all that strong and was mostly a water dino that lived off of other smaller water prey. They concluded that 8-9 times out of 10 a spino would always lose in a real life battle. Go look it up. This is why there was such an outrage..

Also newer studies found t rex to be even bigger than they tought and bigger and more muscular than the spino. The spino was in real life quite an overrated dino..

All the Jurassic World movies are worth a watch if you get a chance. They're not master pieces, but they are entertaining. Fun stuff. Oh, and the band does eventually get back together in those movies. 😉 Thanks for sharing this one.
the painful thing about jurassic Park 3 is that we KNOW factually it was rushed as a film...unlike JP 1 & 2 they took some shortcuts and cut out some scenes...so if you have questions like why is the spinosaurus a thing or why did certain other things happen...it's simple...thye just had to cut it short. the only REAL important part about this film IS the existence of the Spinosaurus because the Spinosaurus is not from the Jurassic era and as Alan Grant said to Billy...it wasn't on Ingen's list of dinosaurs...so clearly Ingen are doing some secret projects off the book...that later becomes relevant in Jurassic World (film 4). if only Grant had checked with the government first about Kirby...because flying over Isla Sorna is illegal now.
To be clear, the Spinosaurus in this movie is inaccurate to the real-life counterpart but the producers at the time thought it to be the new biggest carnivorous dinosaur that can rival T-Rex. That's why for JP 3, they wanted to replace the Rex with the Spino as the new big bad antagonist. But that has now proven false as they both lived in different landscapes and timelines. To this day, T-Rex is still currently the largest and could beat a Spino. On another note, it is confirmed that the T-Rex here is a juvenile, a youngster. So it can be debatable that a full-grown adult T-Rex can beat the Spinosaurus.
I’m glad you guys are watching all of these. This one’s my least favorite of the first three, but it’s still enjoyable. Totally agree with Spartan about the missed opportunity to bring in Hammond’s grandkids again!... You guys will love the next one (Jurassic World) :) 🦖
My grandparents had this on dvd when I was a kid and it was my favorite movie I’ve ever watched at the time and the spinosaurus is my favorite dinosaur bc of this movie. I BEGGED them to let me take the movie home😂

I love this movie! I have a habit of hating on the movies that come out after this one, but, I remember that people shit on this film. I might look at them different now through your eyes. That being said, I’m so happy you enjoyed this! Imo, this one is on par with the second movie if not slightly better!
Jurassic World 1-3 make Jurassic Park 3 look like Jurassic Park. Edit: One thing I did like about JP3 was the little nod to the marketing for the first movie. At around 10:00 in your vid... the "It's gonna be a walk in the park" line was taken from the original JP's marketing slogan for their merch like toys and games etc. "When the streets ain't tough enough... take a walk in the park"
so what you saw in the first movie was isla nublar. the island where the park was supposed to be. with animals in different enclosures. this island is Sorna, where they grew them. this is where the science was being done. there are actually even more island's. but these two are the primary ones.

I saw this movie in theaters with my mom when it came out opening weekend. She took me for like my 11th or 12th birthday. I loved all these movies.

Damn, the nostalgia really hit. When I was a kid I had the DVD and I used to watch this movie all the time. I didn't even understand a word 'cause it was in English and I didn’t speak English back then but it still loved it.
And I know this movie might not be very good “cinematicly” speaking, but you gotta admit it's pretty damn entertaining, especially for a kid.
It's scariest movie in trilogy in some way.

One thing about this movie is it did not come from a Michael Crichton book. The first 2 were written by him. I think that's why some people think the story strays from the original.

I subbed and liked at that moment. My immaturity aside, you both were vary entertaining.
I personally am glad that Eric wasn't more childlike and scared, and was portrayed more mature and self-sufficient. If he acted the way you two seemed to expect, literally no one would have believed that he could survive essentially two months on his own. I can legit see this kid still being alive by comparison. For instance, if Eric was Alex and Timmy from the first movie, they'd have been 100% dead, especially Timmy.

Such an underrateted movie. The Pteranodon appearing out of the fog is the most scaring scene in the whole series.
I always like to see if people catch this watching the movie…when you see Billy drinking water from the stream, you very briefly see Mr Kirby walking away from the same stream only slightly more upstream…AND he’s adjusting himself from just taking a piss…in the same stream that Billy was drinking from. 😂.

You could classify the Spino as more of a monster than a dinosaur, even if this was before more was known about the Spino.
Been waiting for this one! Let’s go! I grew up with the originals JP3 has gotten its respect after many years but still has undeniable issues. Its existence as a sequel isn’t justified to to the weak plot and its way too short. Buts it’s still fun and not terrible objectively! Plus gives us the spino and an amazing new raptor design! Love both. This film will always have a place in my heart. As for the series, I think JP1 and JW are easily the best 2 films in the franchise and from each of their trilogies.

the call for help was meant to confuse the raptors that another raptor or group of raptors needed help elsewhere. and thats why they left to go investigate when they heard the noise. That was the point of grant doing the call becuz the raptors would know humans cant make that noise so it has to be a raptor in the area

This was the first JP movie I got to see in theaters I was like 7 years old. And I loved it even and I still enjoy it now. Never understood what people didn’t like about it.
8:50 This is such a typical Spartan take. Bigger/more powerful does not equal better. You literally come from the most dominant species to ever traverse the Earth and we are not even close to being physically designed as an apex predator. Our hominid ancestors started out as gatherers and scavengers. Humans have conquered pretty much every biome on Earth through intelligence, dexterity, resilience, communication, social intelligence and adaptability. That is what makes a species dominant. T-rex was most likely a solo hunter/scavenger (little social intelligence), has 2 limbs that are useless for most tasks (limited dexterity) and required a huge calorific intake just to sustain itself (not adaptable to disruptions in the food chain).
I know I shit talked the Lost World but it is so worth watching all 3, I loved this one because I am biased and was 8 when it came out and it gave me everything I wanted at the time (Pterodactyls and Spinosaurus)

A lot of people didn't like this one mostly just because of the T-Rex got defeated by the spinosaurus in the graphics on the spinosaurus were not as good as previous dinosaurs mostly because they had a budget problem and they had to rewrite some of the script last minute so that could also be why this one is a little shorter but I personally don't let that bother me I still enjoy every Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movie.
you know why? because the director of this movie hated the t rex and wanted a new dino to get in the spotlight. He purposly killed off the T-rex wich was utter stupidity as the T rex had the biggest bite force and strength and would have finished off the spino when the rex had the neck of the spino in it's jaw. It was also a juvenile T-rex. Further studies concluded that a real life spino wasn't all that strong and was mostly a water dino that lived off of other smaller water prey. They concluded that 8-9 times out of 10 a spino would always lose in a real life battle. Go look it up. This is why there was such an outrage..

Also newer studies found t rex to be even bigger than they tought and bigger and more muscular than the spino. The spino was in real life quite an overrated dino..

the painful thing about jurassic Park 3 is that we KNOW factually it was rushed as a film...unlike JP 1 & 2 they took some shortcuts and cut out some scenes...so if you have questions like why is the spinosaurus a thing or why did certain other things happen...it's simple...thye just had to cut it short. the only REAL important part about this film IS the existence of the Spinosaurus because the Spinosaurus is not from the Jurassic era and as Alan Grant said to Billy...it wasn't on Ingen's list of dinosaurs...so clearly Ingen are doing some secret projects off the book...that later becomes relevant in Jurassic World (film 4).
if only Grant had checked with the government first about Kirby...because flying over Isla Sorna is illegal now.
To be clear, the Spinosaurus in this movie is inaccurate to the real-life counterpart but the producers at the time thought it to be the new biggest carnivorous dinosaur that can rival T-Rex. That's why for JP 3, they wanted to replace the Rex with the Spino as the new big bad antagonist. But that has now proven false as they both lived in different landscapes and timelines. To this day, T-Rex is still currently the largest and could beat a Spino. On another note, it is confirmed that the T-Rex here is a juvenile, a youngster. So it can be debatable that a full-grown adult T-Rex can beat the Spinosaurus.

I love this movie! I have a habit of hating on the movies that come out after this one, but, I remember that people shit on this film. I might look at them different now through your eyes. That being said, I’m so happy you enjoyed this! Imo, this one is on par with the second movie if not slightly better!

Edit: One thing I did like about JP3 was the little nod to the marketing for the first movie.
At around 10:00 in your vid... the "It's gonna be a walk in the park" line was taken from the original JP's marketing slogan for their merch like toys and games etc.

this movie had that classic Jurassic park feel im all for it yayayaya
so what you saw in the first movie was isla nublar. the island where the park was supposed to be. with animals in different enclosures. this island is Sorna, where they grew them. this is where the science was being done. there are actually even more island's. but these two are the primary ones.
