      rfc1795 also,add a little dab of oil,WD40 or even a small dab of cooking oil on a cloth and run it through the top track first to help it glide open and closed with ease.

      Gogetyours Good idea. I'll use some GT5 lubricant 👍 .. picked it up earlier, box looks to have been resealed *gulp .. hope everything is inside and in good shape.

      Update: All installed pretty easily. Didn't need to cut door, but rather lower frame hight by putting a strip of wood at the top, otherwise I'd have had a gap of around 2" at the bottom. As this one was the more expensive one, with 2 mag catches and double skinned it is very sturdy and I'm happy with the result :-) ... initially on seeing your vid @Gogetyours, I was very worried. But glad I spent the extra £7 (at the time, 1/3rd off)
      Thanks again, your video helped loads in getting my head arounjd the crazy instructions :-D

    Nice video... bought one of these doors...£30 in argos and the instructions were rubbish.. so this was ideal....like you say, bit flimsy bit for the price and what I wanted it for is ideal, and this vid is spot on for fitting. Thanks.

      Make sure to dab abit of cooking oil or something like that on the top rail, it will help allow the door to open with ease.

    Thank you. Getting ready to install one of these and was mostly concerned about whether my old hack saw could cut the metal track. I keep forgetting that this isn’t dad’s 1977 model accordion doors. They make everything out of cheap plastic nowadays. Nothing is made of metal anymore. No more metal track.😢

    Haven't seen those in years, maybe Amazon? It's a little bit more tight then the bifold doors and the one's that just slide back and forth! I think I'm going to get a spring rod and either some material or a flat sheet and use a tight curtain to keep the dust out, forced heat and AC is going to kill us with the dust and pet fur! Radiant heat doesn't blow dust and dirt all over! Great install & direction's very clear ❤️

    • @Gogetyours
      @Gogetyours  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't have to, but if it was hard to open maybe a new track maybe better. Make sure all the screws in the track are screwed in tightly, within the track, try to dab abit of cooking oil on to a cloth and then dab it into the top track. It will make opening the door easy and smooth.

      I know this is an old comment but maybe his folding door is ment to be zigzagged, but for most folding doors you just don't install all the panels (the folds) if you have a narrow doorway. Thus making the door less wide and not as zigzagged when closed. Usually each panel is about 5 inches wide, and if you have a 30 inch doorway that means you only use 6 panels (6*5=30) even if the door comes with 8 panels in the package. If that makes sense to you?

      You can get folding doors in India, there are a few companies that do it,more or less they do them in solid state not in the soft material that this particular door is made from.well worth a local Google search depending on what part of India.
