This is so smart!! I got more blue Tack 'em poster hanging compound from the dollar tree when my stick was running out. Someone gave me my pick me up stick, bit I have since seen people use the blunt end of a chopstick or skewer with the blue tack 'em on the end of it. I tried that, and I like it so much better! That other tool would give too much or not enough of the tacky and it was a very small point of it. Neuropathy is the pits! I have it head to toe from my MS. I'm constantly buzzing, stinging, and burning on fire. But I smile every day because it could be worse! Can't complain about being alive! Big hugs to you sweetie!! Glad you liked the way we view butterflies--a symbol of hope that a change for the better is coming! ;-) and the credit cards are great for painting, scraping, or smooshing things down into hot glue. --thanks for sharing!!
I already save the "not credit cards" for spreading paint and other things for mixed media projects. How cool. Now I can make a "Gooby Pen instead of buying one of those expensive Pick Me Up pens that I cannot afford on my budget. You always find ways to stretch my dollars Leslie. You are the greatest. Keep smiling. You are such an inspiration to so many crafters! TFS
Thank you Kay! You just made my day! I love how you have taken my craziness and made it an actual thing :D The "Gooby Pen". I love it!! Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and leave your awesome comment. I appreciate you so very much. Leslie
You are darling!!!! I appreciate how genuine you are. I also really appreciate that you teach me how to use things I already have to create beauty. Bless you!!!!
good idea! I'm enjoying all your tips and ideas these help when you don't have the money for all these fun but expensive tools! you look awesome, so glad your doing ok and will continue to keep you, Joe and all of your family in my prayers. :-) have a blessed day, Sarah
Sarah, thank you very much for watching my video and leaving your kind comment. I'm so happy to be of help to you creating on a TIGHT budget. I appreciate you, sweet lady, for your love, support, encouragement, and prayers over Joe and I. May God richly bless you and your family. Hugs - Leslie
Thank you, Judy :D I am feeling better every day...more especially since I am so over being sick - LOL It is time to get back to being productive :D Hugs - Leslie
Thank you, Janet :D I am always on the look out for things around my house that I can use in place of some expensive tool :D Just call me CHEAP LOL Hugs - Leslie
yes we have that "gloopy" here in the UK in our mail too. id love to be able to buy that stuff. much nicer that reposition all craft dots. what a great way to re purpose it
Thank you, Angie for letting me know you in the UK are not left out of the bounty of crap. :D Make do with what you got until you can afford better is what I say. LOL Who knows, one of your visiting kin will get all kinds of huffy seeing you use an old pen and a junk mail goopey. That person might be the one that blesses you with the nicer and fancy Pick Me Up. You never know :D Hugs - Leslie
What a great tip - sure will save me a few dollars because I have seen the "PIck me up" tools and have rejected them because of price. Now, I dont have to worry 'cause I have lots of non-working pens in this house and lots of goopey stuff (or the alternate glue dots). Thanks ever so much for such a fantastic tip. Stay Strong
Thank you Ruth! LOL You and the others are making me chuckle...no down right CACKLE. I keep the extra goopys intact on the junk mail. Just chuck them in a box or baggie. When I need a new goopy it is right there. :D Love you my friend - Leslie
Thank you Wendy! I am, in fact, getting on very well indeed. I'm so happy to have given you a helpful idea you can use in your creative space. I appreciate you. Leslie
Boogers! That is an apt name for them. :D Bonus Tip from you!! Thank you Lou! Spread paint, glue, that jesso stuff over stencils, and more with the fake credit cards. WOO HOO. Hugs - Leslie
Thank you, Mamakat, for taking the time to watch one of my videos and leave your great comment. I appreciate you for doing so. Another creative genius that uses the junk mail cards for spreading goop of all kinds :D Hugs - Leslie
Love this idea! I also like the comment about using the cards to spread glue. I wonder what else you could use the cards for? Maybe a mini mini-album? Hope you are feeling well! Thanks for all you do!
Thank you....(is that pronounced picture?). I appreciate you taking the time to watch one of my videos and leave your great comment. Your imagination is all it takes to use the cards. Use a heavy duty paper trimmer and cut the cards into squares. You will have to use a sanding block on the plastic cards to get acrylic paint or decorative paper to stick to it right. Oh and one other tip....Do NOT use a heat tool on the plastic cards. That is if you want them to remain flat. If, however, you want all kinds of distorted random waves and curlies then use the heat tool :D Hugs - Leslie
You're welcome. My screen name is "PC teacher" as that is what I have been doing the past 30 years, teaching computer software. Thanks for your tips in your reply. I will start keeping those cards and the goopies, too! Take care, and I am looking forward to watching more of your videos!
You are very welcome! My screen name is "PC Teacher" as I taught computer software for 25+ years. I enjoy watching your videos, and thank you for taking the time and effort to make them. Thanks also for the tips you just gave me in your response. And I hope things are going well for you and your health is improving! Hugs to you! Leslie
for the retractable pens you could dip the tip into stick it again glue (the one everyone uses to refresh cutting mats) Ummm I might have to try it to see if it works.
Crazy, let me know if your idea works. That would be a cost effective solution, plus one would get multiple uses from the bottled glue! BONUS! Hugs - Leslie
Leslie that goop you are using is really rubber cement. It is meant to be removed. You get that same glue when you gather your real credit card. PS you can get that glue in most office supply store. Happy day to you.
Thank you, Bea! Since you say the goop is rubber cement....a person could make a ton of the goops for dead pens and things. And get high from the chemicals. LOL I do remember rubbing that stuff off projects I had to do in grade school. Of course we 6 and 7 year old ragamuffins were pleased with ourselves when we made "boogers" with the rubber cement. Mercy sakes alive. Bea, I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and leave your wonderful comment. Hugs - Leslie
Thank you Dani. Yes, I leave the cards on the mailing until I need them. The mailings get chucked into a box or a baggie, whichever one will work....the baggie for small quantities or the box for larger quantities. When I need a new goober I get it from the stash :D I appreciate your great question! Hugs - Leslie

Junk mail like that is very annoying. Like your idea, very pretty. I was thinking maybe a person could make a thank U card include the junk & return to sender.
Glad U got a good laugh. I think laughter is good for the soul it is like having a shot of wine is good for the soul. One shouldn't indulge in the wine because it might cause crying. Me it would cause the giggles. Hugs from goofy Mary.
Crapazoid! I thought you would be free of this kind of mailbox harassment :D I don't know why I figured the UK would be free of it, but I did. LOL There is NO PLACE safe from the slicks is there? Norma, thank you for making me laugh while reading your gruff comment. Hugs - Leslie
